Idk what's worse..the abandonment and betrayal...the images stuck in my head of my kids watching me almost die...or the realization that I thought it was love when it wasn't. I'm still heartbroken. This made me feel...understood. thank you both. I finally left for good.

you don’t even understand how much this album has helped me. this is such a stunning version of this song. i was physically assaulted by someone i considered the love of my life. my world was completely shattered, i couldn’t function. i was just a shell, going through the motions. and this album came out literally a week after it happened. this album understood me when i couldn’t explain what i was going through to those around me. i felt like you looked into my life and wrote songs about those snapshots. it’s been over a year now, and in my opinion i’ve just now “come back to life”. the world is slowly getting less overwhelming, i’m figuring things out. if anyone else is going through something like this, please stay here. things will eventually be easier to deal with, and you will get through it. therapy, music, and friends have been so helpful in my recovery. it isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. you’re worth it.
