Thanks Conor!! Getting the rhythm exactly right and the whammy bar stuff as accurate as possible was definitely extremely tricky! It’s a very unique and amazing solo!
Thanks man!! This transcription took quite some time for sure! Honestly, figuring out the rhythm was a nightmare at times especially on parts of the solo that are more free feeling.
damn. that's super slick. me and my buddy are trying to figure out what is going on in this song rhythmically/ metrically and found this video. your guitar play through was fantastic, i'll have to sit down with that some time.
great cover and tab, just a quick note for those playing this solo there's a mistake in the third bar at 3:54, the G string plays the 16th fret and slides up to the 18th rather than from the 14th to the sixteenth as is written.
Thanks for pointing that out! I try to do my best on these but bound to make a typo eventually! Also the 14th fret before the slide as well! At least I played it correctly! Glad you enjoyed the video!
The tone might surprise you. I was recording direct using the Universal Audio Pete Thorn Signature amp for everything, utilizing the different amp channels and then throwing a tube screamer in front of the amp on some lead parts. That’s it, I think I threw some stock logic delay in the leads as well
Great cover! Absolutely nailed it! Is there a way to get a copy of the tabs? I need to this song as part of a session job and it will help a bunch. Thanks 👍
Absolutely amazing! Would it be possible to have the full transcript, and perhaps the transcript for your interpretation of Mateus' "Don't dream it's over" as well?
Hey bro!! This is CRAZY good! Congrats with such amazing video. Quick question: how did you get a backing track with no guitar? Im struggling a bit to find one... If possible, could you sent me your track? I would truly appreciate! Thanks in advance! And once again, huge congrats for the video. Regards from Brazil!
Hey Thomas! Thanks man!! I actually didn’t use a backing track, just played along with the recording. I just turned my guitar up a bit to try and cover it up. I would have loved to have a backing track for this but unfortunately I don’t. Good luck!
@@chrisdelanyguitaristHey man I loved the cover it was really spot on! Tabs are awesome to help learn too. I was also looking around for backing tracks but may try isolate the tracks and make one myself. Hopefully not too painful!
Hey Jack, this transcription is kind of a hybrid part between rhythm and lead. I never published the isolated rhythm part only but send me an email about this and I’ll try and help you out! chrisdelanyguitarist@yahoo.com

I love how reminiscient of 70's classic rock the solo is, but still infused with that jazz goodness.
Sick job with the solo, it’s so unusual at the start, never seen anybody nail it.

you could take it one step farther and mess that note at 3:47 lol
The note was out of tune in the recording. Lots of notes in the song, I was bound to miss a few..
