When I first saw this Thomas, I was like, hmm, am I dead, is this a dream, or was just something unexpected. I gotta say this is probably the most accurate Thomas from the Trackmaster/Motorized line to date. Despite using the same AEG chassis, I do appreciate those side rods, the cab height, the molded tail lamp which has not been seen since 2013 and i appreciate that they they gave him rivets, and the handrails just like on what Thomas has in seasons, 23 and 24, which I adore since 2019 this must be the second Thomas model to have those little details while the talking Thomas from 2020 and 2021 1st. I'm really impressed with this Thomas, and I can't wait to get him in 2025.
As a fan of Monster High this actually is already confirmed to be real. A few months ago 2 dolls were spotted on Mattel's customer service site and caught speculation from the community. (For context they're Fearbook Venus and Abbey.) Both Abbey and Venus soon had higher quality stock photos released, this happened around 2 weeks ago as of writing this comment. So if Mattel's production patterns are the same universally across all their franchises it's safe to assume more stuff about this Thomas will come out soon, probably in the form of more stock/concept photos.
I think what's happening is that Mattel has made this prototype for the 80th and is seeing how much hype there is behind it. After all, that's what they have been doing. Make some type of "leak" as they know it will be found soon. It's an interesting marketing strategy if they have been doing this.
What if Mattel made AEG a subline for Motorized and Push Along toy lines, whereas the OG counterparts would be the new main lineup? It can actually help those two versions co exist with each other!
I assume this is gonna be a 80th anniversary limited edition, where they make thomas, percy, and james. (the 3 main characters) hopefully they make the whole main cast and hopefully it's not a limited edition, but whatever it is, hopefully it gets released!
Some people have already figured out that the reason why the year reads 2022 is because it replaced an image of an All Engines Go release. So it was definitely manufactured this year, and I'm fairly certain that this will be released next year. The reason is more than likely for the 80th anniversary, and the original designs are being used as "legacy" designs as one person on Twitter mentioned, and not for whatever reason some crazy people are believing. The whistle is there, and yes, it's unpainted, so that's why it might have been hard for you to see. The rivet and handrail detailing also isn't anything new on the Motorized Thomas as the Talking Thomas and Percy from that one set that released in 2020 were the first pieces of merchandise to use those designs based, though not entirely, on the their Series 23 redesigns. If they make more, I'm guessing it'll be limited to only the engines in the new Steam Team but probably not even all of them. I have a feeling that smaller engines like Percy would look fine, but larger ones like Gordon may look awkward if they continue to use that chassis.
If they bring Edward back, they NEED to do his wheel arrangement correctly and with the small side rods like the classics. I think my spark has been reignited for Trackmaster collecting.
Tbh I don't expect much and probably all the details probably are gonna be a sticker But at least it's gonna be cool to have a line of engines more show accurate
@gothicccat19890 Half of that sticker detailing on the Motorized/Trackmaster engines has practically been nonexistent since 2014. The most that it may have is for the front cab windows, and that'd be it. That is if this version has those.
They are just like Beyblade years ago takara Tomy made the better products for both brands while Mattel and hasbro had no idea on what they were doing cut to 2024 awesome stuff
I googled the product code and it shows Percy so I think it's a mistaken image and maybe it's a prototype of the special 80th anniversary line like the 75th had special versions of the characters

We finally have a chance to have a good Edward

I mean, the same thing happened with Push Along Duck, Whiff, I think Toby too and Motorised Donald.
MATTEL YOU GOOD? 🤨🤨🤨🤨
The fact that it's year of release is 2022 gives me a feeling that it could've been unfortunately canceled

@@JonLukevilleTV yea kinda like Plarail
If this is real, then they should release all of the engines in the same style as the picture for the Trackmaster Revolution line.
This is probably just an anniversary drop so maybe not

thank god
I guess Mattel is making a comeback 😅
2:54 the old tm2 Thomas had this issue, so I don’t mind
E2 106 did actually have rivets
Hi😊
Fun fact that they tried to base this on the prototype talking thomas where his height was tall
I really hope that this starts a new seperate Trackmaster line, similar to TWR 2022.
Me too
Who else thinks Mattel should make a separate line of motorized Thomas toys from All Engines Go
If they bring Edward back, they NEED to do his wheel arrangement correctly and with the small side rods like the classics. I think my spark has been reignited for Trackmaster collecting.
Long Live Thomas and friends
Just go back to the original Tomy design in both trains and track.
2:51 hey, at least we got a new better thomas. Rather than a tm2 being so..weird
YES 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤨🤨🤨
Finally a come back from mattel
I hopefully will be being this if this comes out in the UK
I can’t wait for it.
i hope they make edward like that
I hope we can purchase it soon

I think they'll do every original series engine that is also in AEG.
Actually, it is replacing the core five Aeg engines.
If Thomas looks like this then what will the other engines look like?

It looks okay 👍
So nice
too tall for my liking
Edit: why bro look like the prototype of the talking thomas from 2014 🙏🙏😭😭
Track master three?
That's impossible CGI Thomas is gone no way they're bringing him back
Check out the wooden railway thomas the new one
It's CGI
I agree i think its a cancelled item/prototype
If this is real, I might get it
I’m hoping a deal with all engines
What if all engines go was planed to be better
Finally no more all engines go
yes we know you hate it
