Great choices! Love that age range, so much fun. We love Simple studies and they use the “among the” books. I have a couple videos if you want to see what I’m talking about. But the stories themselves are so fun!
We are loving learning about the American states as we do history thru sequence one!!! We love mapping but never used books for it as I didn’t know of any!!! We love TGTB nature readers and I love that they are helping my kids learn to read as well!!! We love aoabs fables!!! Sorry I can’t spell!!! We are planning on teaching my kids about John Wesley as my teenagers are asking for it!!!
"I'm not crazy about reading aloud" girl.....same!🤫😅 I've been slowly building up my tolerance and this year, for the first time ever, we're doing a literature based Chemistry curriculum from Guest Hollow😬😱😳 I am UNSURE what I have gotten myself into but we're plowing ahead and we'll see what happens! I mean, are you even a homeschooler if you don't jump in completely over your head and vow to just sink or swim?! (Also can we normalize an "I Only Read Aloud Because It's Good For My Kids...Like, Vegetables!" movement in the homeschool world???? I feel like there are more of us out there🤣🤣)
Yes! It's so nice to not be the only one out there!! I'm also wondering if I've bit off more than I can chew with all these read alouds. Jumping in feet first this year! :) The weird part is that I LOVE to read. Books are my thing...but not aloud.
Have you used any of these? Or read the any read aloud? I'd love to know what you thought of them!

So fun to hear what all you will be doing with your kids!
I also really enjoy watching what other people have chosen to use!
We loved The Courage of Sarah Noble!
I know we had it growing up, but I don't actually remember reading it. I'm looking forward to it!
You have some great read alouds there. We have read and enjoyed most of them.
I'm looking forward to reading the ones I haven't yet. :)
You have chosen so many wonderful read alouds.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to reading them with my girls.

My kids loved tolivers secret when they were younger ❤️
I haven't read it yet...but I'm looking forward to it. :)
You've got some great books here. We have some of the books that you've mentioned for my kid's independent reading.
Thanks! It'll be good to start sharing them with my kids.
We have also enjoyed the Among the … People books :)
Oh good! I haven't read them yet, but I picked them up at a yard sale a year ago and thought we'd try them out.
