Thank you for sharing this information. A Russian Blue showed up in our backyard. He has been here for almost a month and we cannot find his owners. We have been taking care of him and learning as we go. So far he has been very respectful and sweet. He definitely seems smart! We are getting him neutered in a few days and we will need to bring him indoors for recovery. I have been worried about my allergies. Your video helped put my mind at ease. We bought him a brush and will follow as you had recommended. I am hoping everything will work out as we have a small 7lbs Maltese-poodle pup of 10 years. He isn’t so sure about the cat, but the cat sure wants to be friends with him. We shall see how it goes! Thank you for making this video! Wishing each of you continued good health, happiness and prosperity.
Back in th e1990's I was very allergic to cats. My parents had two cats and it was very difficult to go into their house. I could last about 10 minutes before I had extreme allergic reactions. Only the guest bedroom was comfortable for me since they kept the cats out of it. So, I decided to do something about it. In three weeks, I got rid of about 75% of my cat allergies. I could then be comfortable in my parents house without any allergic reaction. But I still couldn't cuddle with them. What I did was each day, while in my car, I would laugh as hard as I could for about 30 seconds. Then I would rest for 30 seconds. Then I would repeat this process one or two more times. I did this procedure once a day .The laughter was strengthening my immune system. Today I have three cats and I have no allergic reaction. Laughter is the best medicine.
@@aishwaryaoverby So glad to hear that. Just start laughing for no reason at all. You will then build a momentum and your laughter will cause more laughter. Don't be afraid to really let go. That is why I rested for 30 singles. Sometimes I laughed so hard that I saw dark spots in my eyes. Perhaps doing it while driving wasn't the best idea because one time I felt that I was going to faint.
@@PeterProf7777 I will definitely try this method. Maybe I need to start watching more funny things on TV, instead of disturbing news and TV shows. No wonder I get nightmares. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@aishwaryaoverby It has to be a very deep laughter that will cause your face to go red. I doubt anything on T.V. will cause that. Just laugh as a choice.
I have had many cats and they were miserable cats made me feel to not have cats when I got my Russian blue I fell enlove all over again he's so loving and gentle.
I found a russian blue.she was very sick ,took her to vet got well after two months of a respiratory problems. Shes very sweet and spoil.shes the princess of the house.🐱
Hello, Russian blue is a amazing cat breed to have. What I learned is male cats are more loving compared to female cats, which I feel is true because Kimchee is very loving. I did meet female cats before who didn't even let me pet them. But all cats have different personalities so I guess it just depends. Female cats are little more protective. I also learned that Female cats generally make less Fel d 1 than male cats, which is a protein that causes cat allergies, I personally haven't experienced any difference when it comes to allergies with Kimchee but then again he is a hypoallergenic and he doesn't cause me any allergies. I hope that you find your own Kimchee😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What time does he force you to get up in the morning? I like to sleep in, but I know most cats don't sleep all night; they actually start jumping on you at 4AM. I don't want that! I would prefer 7AM instead. But I don't know. That is the biggest problem for me about getting even a Russian Blue. I have been looking into all breeds of cats and the Russian Blue is as close as I can get to liking to get a cat. Thanks for letting me know.
Hello, he starts meowing around 5:30am as that's the time when my husband gets up to go to work and he feeds him before he leave the house. So around 5:30-6am is his food time and that's when he start waking us up (even on the weekends Kimchee makes sure that he gets his food on same time😶😶). So you can set 7am as your cat's food time so that hopefully they won't wake you up🤞🤞🤞. Also they have automatic feeders on Amazon for purchase so that cat can get food on time without they have to bother us for it, we don't have one but my husband's brother has it for his cats and he is happy with it. Kimchee likes his food on time in the evening too. He only meows when he wants something, otherwise he is very calm and quiet.
@@aishwaryaoverby That automatic feeder idea is wonderful. I want 'him' to slee in bed with me, like most all cats do, but it would be cool if he just went to the feeder, took care of his cat litter needs, and then just came back to bed - and let me sleep. I'm retired, so I appreciate not having to get up. But I miss my previous cat that demanded I get up at around 5:30am - But I had to get up to get ready for work! Ha. Thank you for your response. Those Russian Blues are so beautiful, and I like their independence attitude. I'm home most all the time, so he won't miss me whenever he would want me.
@@DSR299 they also have automatic litter cleaners!!! I hope everything works out for you 🙏 🙂. Russian blues are smart and very loving. I feel it's a best cat breed ever!!! Thank you for watching my video🙏🙏🙏🙏😊😊😊😊
My Russian blue scratches the couch, he knows he's not suppose to but I think he gets in a mood and than does it, I even gave him old chair he's allowed to scratch, but he does attack the couch once in awhile, and than runs and hides because he knows better, and with the food, mine was like that so I left food for him all the time, now that he knows that the food isn't going to be gone, he doesn't eat as much, and he doesn't obsess over food anymore, I think they panic if the blows empty, or they just think they have to eat because you are putting it down, once they have so much food they get board with it, and will only eat a few bite, than leave it, but they love treats, very easy to train with treats, mine wants the treats like it's his regular food.
Hi👋! We added 1 scratching post in each room for Kimchee. Whenever he goes to scratch on furniture, we stop him and bring him to his scratching post, that's how he learned that it's not okay to scratch on furniture. Try scratching post for your kitty too, may be because you are letting him scratch on old chair, your cat may think it's okay to scratch on furniture, because old or new it's same for cat. I really like your idea for his food. I may try that soon and let you know how it goes😊😊😊🐱🐱🐱
Hi!! He is neutered that's why he doesn't spray. He is really well behaved cat, we feel lucky to have him🤞🤞🤞. Russian blue's price starts from roughly $500 and goes up depending on the quality. We adopted our Kimchee.
