This is you guys at what you all do so well, taking us to places that we would not get to go. Y’all make sitting in a kiddie pool out in the middle of nowhere bucket list worthy. Thank you for your content.
The collective joy on those sand dunes at the beginning of the video was awesome. Kona looked SO happy. You really do the consistent true travel videos as well as any I've seen on TH-cam. Most don't actually produce something that can be used so well for planning a trip that most anyone could go on, even making those adventurous hikes look attainable. (And that's not even counting your separate travel guides!)
You sure did make the loneliest road a whole lot of fun! Your fun with your shoe story came through making us laugh out loud. Thanks so much for sharing.
You two sure know how to show a less traveled area so fun and interesting! The movie was the best…we laughed so hard, the comments…piping hot, Kelly Clarkson 🤣! That burger was huge but so cute. Loved loved loved everything about this video! Kona was watching very closely! ❤
I've driven across Nevada on Highway 50 several times. My father was born and raised in Fallon. My uncle was a Nevada cowboy and lived in Austin. I also have relatives who live in Ely.
I love the skit. 10/10! I also drove to Great Basin NP last year and the cricket phenomenon was insane!! Kind of cool, but also weird lol. The planes throughout the drive too, were covered in bright orange and red paintbrush which was a treat! The burros are adorable.
I was on a motorcycle trip the first time I traveled US Hwy 50. I got on it at Dodge City,KS and went to Modesto, CA by way of South Lake Tahoe. In August 1984 it hadn't been named the loneliest road in America through Nevada yet. I-70 had not been completed in Utah either. After that first trip I must have traveled it 8 or 10 times but I joined the route in Grand Junction, CO every time after that. It sure was a good way to travel across Western US without having to contend with very much traffic.
I bought a new Miata in 2015 and drove highway 50 from Sacramento to Colorado Springs in August. It was awesome, I spent a night in Austin, NV in a motel make of 3 single wide mobile homes, and it was very cool. The stillness you can experience on that highway is quite different from what I normally get here in San Jose. I loved the shoe tree movie, maybe the funniest thing I have seen you two do, and I have watched a ton of your videos. Great fun, thanks so much for sharing this neat place with the public. You guys rock
Thank you thank you for another amazing video full of joie de vivre and energy. I bicycled the entire road recently and your video brings back the very special memories and spectacular sceneries that this road offers. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful adventures. 🚲
Loved this episode! My husband and I are in Great Basin right now after driving from Vegas on the less traveled roads. The mountains are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
I asked about camp places nearby and was invited to camp in the local park. That night I was invited to enjoy a company picnic at the park. I agree, Eureka was one of the most friendly cities I have found.
I always loved that highway. After my wife's crossing the river, I spent months traveling that old road. Much to see. Y'all did a great job on the highlights, but there is so much more. I used to play my guitar in them charcoal kilns and sing, I'm so lonesome I could cry. By the late Hank Williams sr.. My twin daughters joining in. Yee-Haa! I'm one that never had to use my dollar. Didn't strike it rich, but never returned broke. Great job! Loved the memories.😊
We're sorry to hear about your wife, Richard. And yes there is tons to see out there. So you did put on a concert in those charcoal kilns! Thank you for watching as always
What a fun adventure! Such interesting places you discovered. My favorite scenes are the ones with Kona. She is just so happy when she gets to explore with you two,
We loved your new video, and we loved the short little film. It was awesome! You guys rock! We hope to say hello to you guys when you're back in the Utah area. Have fun and enjoy your travels! Thank you for the great travel advice. 😁
I've been watching videos of different roads in the USA, and yours is the best of The Loneliest Road in America. You are lucky to have such good company to share the road with. I always love to see Kona! Happy Trails!
Ironically, I just got back from driving US50 from Fallon to Great Basin NP in my truck camper. So, I really enjoyed this video, Didn't stop at every place you did, but saw the same lonesome straight stretches and mountains. Keep up the great videos!
Love your video! My husband, myself, and our black lab drove the loneliest hwy, too. We overnight camped at Stokes Castle. The views are amazing, but sunset there is spectacular! Their night lighting is breathtaking. We have a small21-foott camper and it worked perfectly. It was a magical place to dry camp. We didn't see them, but the burrows were so cool. The tunnels in Eureka were awesome! Thank you for sharing them. We have visited Great Basin and agree, it is such a wonderful park. Although we had to miss a lot of the sights on our first trip on the Loneliest Hwy, it's on our bucket list to travel again and stop at all of the sights. Happy travels 😊.
I happened to watch your video in preparation for a trip to Park City, UT. It was so helpful and I’ve been addicted ever since. Thank you for your footage of the crater outside of Park City in Midway. I was the only one in my group to experience swimming in the crater as there was only one slot left during our time there. The drive there and back was phenomenal . I’ll make sure and watch any vids you have for future trips.
We're so glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful! Lucky you that you got to swim in the crater. It's an experience! Thank you and thanks for watching!
This is one of my favorite drives in Nevada and the U.S.! Glad you two got to experience this and I can also say from experience the Monster Burger is terrifyingly delicious!
Road tripping Highway 50 was one of the most surprisingly great 🎉trips I've ever had! Can't wait to see your adventures at Great Basin NP. It is in my eyes the most overlooked gem in the NPS and I can't wait to go back!
More "historic" reenactments, please!!!! And maybe some folks used drones to get those shoes to those higher limbs! Love all your aerial shots on the loneliest road, too. Thanks for sharing all the offbeat stops - that's my vibe, for sure! I'm hoping to head to Great Basin NP in about a month, so I'm really looking forward to your next film. As always, thanks for sharing your amazing travels with us!!
I love you guys! You show awesome places, good food, are funny (Who Let The Dogs Out!!), and most importantly to me, kind and generous. Walk in peace, guys, and keep the videos coming!!
You guys did amazing on that old video!! I bet it was a hoot to make! 😂. Thank you for sharing your travels! My husband and I are about to take a two week trip to New England. Your videos have been so helpful ‼️. Thank you!
Glad you got unstuck! "Who let the dogs out" 🎶🎶Hahahaha! Jim & I are discussing how you got the shot where you were both running down the sand hill..... parked drone shot? Very cool shot. Wow. The middle gate monster looks like quite the tackle! The Shoe Tree, wow. Your short re-enactment film was very fun! Well done. EEwww! Crickets, yuck. Hi wild burrows!! -Jim & Michelle
Been really enjoying watching this journey of yours! Excited to see where you're heading for Fall! My husband and I have plans to purchase and RV and go full time in the future but you guys make me want van life for the ease and freedom 😆
As a native Nevadan (Reno), watching this video reminds of how little I've seen in my home state. Have been through much of California though. Go figure...lol. And surely you hear this all the time, but you two are the cutest couple and blessed to have found one another. Keep doing what you do. Thanks so much for the video! 🙂
Oh my god, that skit came out of nowhere. I was laughing so hard, hahah. Also I am going to Great Basin next month so I am so excited to see your adventures there!
In the hundreds of thousands of miles I've spent zig zagging around the country this drive still ranks near the top. Tons of history to see along the way. I went the opposite direction as yall and I remember just being able to stop right in the middle of the hwy to take pictures of the snowy mountains ( i did this in early spring). Also I've camped some pretty remote places and nowhere have I ever been more remote than boondocking off this hwy. It gets so quiet out here at night that you can't hear a thing. It's surreal. Great video guys!
I just drove this road last week and it’s a beautiful drive but it’s not lonely. There’s quite a bit of traffic on it. The town of Ely is practically a metropolis. I don’t know when you visited Sand Mountain but if you go anywhere near or on a weekend it’s overrun by ATVers.
I don't remember if it was US50, but definitely a drive across NV when my Dad and I would estimate how far away something was on the horizon. Helped to pass the time as well as help me judge distances better.
thanks for the video, love seeing the country w/ mt favorite couple, if you come back to seatle , the new waterfront is a must, especially the ocean pavilion the reef and a leopard shark
The loneliest road actually looked fun- or at least that’s how you made it seem! It can’t be too lonely with you guys there! Great vlog and great little movie- maybe if you get tired of being amazing you tubers, you can become famous actors……
Another great video, but you should have done the Nevada Northern Railroad train ride in Ely! The tour is almost as good as the train ride. Cave Springs State Park (near Ely and the coke ovens) is also worth a visit.
Glad you did this one I’ve been in those parts of Nevada many times and camped at Berlin and Great Basin. I don’t know if it is still there but there used to be a place by Middleton where you could park and watch Navy pilots blow up old vehicles in the distance. I saw an old bus blow up and was thinking where’s the plane and noticed one very high in the sky. The Navy wants a large area around there to expand Fallon Naval Station and that got pushed back at the last minute with I believe an agreement that they will do so in a few years. Great Basin is a great national park which is surprising with the gorgeous scenery but it is very remote. This time of the year and October is a great time to go with the fall colors especially in Great Basin.
Wow that would have been really neat to see! We did see some signs for the naval base. Would've been cool to see some planes flying or something at least We're excited to share the GB video!
Went to Toquima Cave at the end of May and heard a rattlesnake as we were leaving. Didn't see it, but there was some high stepping getting out of there. If you keep going on that road, you end up in Monument Valley which is full of places to explore.

The sand dunes looked stunning in the morning. All 3 of you just specks on that humongous dune! B&W movie a classic♥️

haha loved your short film 🎥 you two are fun to watch as always!!

Thanks for sharing that’s a part of the country I don’t ever get to drive in to see.
Another great adventure.
Sand dunes are something everyone should experience at least once.
Roadtrip fights are an all to common thing 😜
Hey Adventures, im so thrilled that yall are going to enjoy US 50...and dont forget about the Great Basin National Park!

We didn’t have that experience 🤷🏻♂️ we were the only people at Sand Mountain and the yes there were people in the towns but they were pretty quiet
I went through there in '97. It's developed some since then, but it's very cool.
I don't remember if it was US50, but definitely a drive across NV when my Dad and I would estimate how far away something was on the horizon. Helped to pass the time as well as help me judge distances better.
That shoe tree skit was awesome!!!
Every one covers the big/main attractions, I enjoy hearing about the less known smaller off the beaten path.
I hear ya. As we travel we enjoy seeing the main attractions, but also love the lesser known stuff too!
nice love this!!!
I can see that by the way you made this video, you had a lot of fun creating it.
We loved driving the loneliest hwy, really so much to see❤
That's been on our must do list. We really thought you guys would kill that burger. The short movie was hilarious....Happy Trails 🐕
We had too much fun with the little skit! That burger truly was a monster! It was the bread that gets ya
OMG! The reenactment was hilarious 😂 🤣
We just did that road trip back in April. All in all it was really fun! You guys got further on the monster burger than we did!
Loved it!!
Thank you for the video. You two make everything an adventure!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do the burros survive in the desert, what do they eat?
Good question! I guess they munch on the grass!
That's good video and Nice content ❤❤

Loved your skit. It was so timely since my husband & I celebrated our 36th anniversary yesterday - LOL!
Congratulations!
Looks like the drive from western NY would be worth it just for that burger! 😮❤
And they lived happily every after. 🎉

Glad you did this one I’ve been in those parts of Nevada many times and camped at Berlin and Great Basin. I don’t know if it is still there but there used to be a place by Middleton where you could park and watch Navy pilots blow up old vehicles in the distance. I saw an old bus blow up and was thinking where’s the plane and noticed one very high in the sky. ya more of a fu manchu for sure! Didn't think of it in the moment haha
