I've been to all 50 states and 38 foreign countries, and I am continually surprised by the neat places you guys visit, and many of them I have never even heard of. Best travel channel on youtube and it is not even close. The only place you visited today that I have seen was Mono Lake, which is a pretty interesting place.
That's pretty cool! We're glad we can share some new places! We love traveling and our jobs so it makes us happy that we are making an impact! Thanks and thanks for watching!
You guys' content quality is exceptional, your information is comprehensive, and your personalities are so engaging and likable. This is hands down the best travel vlog channel out there. I live vicariously through you. BTW, I graduated with a B.S. in geology, and Mono Lake is one of the most geologically interesting places I have ever known. I'm so glad you got to see it.
California is beautiful and the sierra's are gorgeous. Never get a chance to comment anymore cause now my husband watches too and we watch on the TV instead of my computer! Glad you're taking a break but will miss your regular posts. Take time for yourselves. It's healthy!
Hey Loey! Thank you both for watching! ❤ We're definitely trying to prioritize ourselves a bit more than we have in the past, but we'll still be posting, just a bit more spaced out!
I live in CA and the Eastern Sierra is still my favorite place. I've explored it extensively and still haven't seen it all. Just got back from a camping trip in Bishop Creek canyon yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous part of my state. I scattered my dog's ashes at TJ lake right above Lake George. Thanks for sharing your adventure. I enjoy seeing all these places I love so much and seeing others' awe and amazement when experiencing them. ❤️
You're making me homesick 😊. There's so many things to see and do in that area. I used to go there every year for vacation. Enjoy your stay in California !
This is my favorite part of Calif. also! I grew up camping in the eastern sierra and learned this area well. Love the high mountain lakes and streams, and the peaks are gorgeous! Thanks for taking me back with your great video. 😀
I follow 3 adventurers on Sunday mornings and 2 of you went to the same place!!!! Catherine Gregory hiked that last location too❤ I love your adventures!
This is my favorite video of you two so far. It’s very well done but I’m also bias. I’ve done every single thing on this video except duck pass, which I’ll do soon. The Cuban restaurant, lake George and convict I just did the other day. The Eastern Sierra’s are absolutely stunning and so vast. I’ve still yet to explore half of despite going several times a year. It’s so peaceful, tranquil and serene. You two did a fantastic job highlighting the general area. I know you’re headed to Tahoe next and I can’t wait to see that video. Next time you’re in the Eastern Sierra, explore bishop creek. Amazing beauty up there as well. Also the Ruby lake hike from the same trailhead as little lakes valley. Short but sweet hike. Stay safe and we appreciate your work. 🙏🏼
The shot at 12:24 is desktop background worthy. Amazing camera work! Also, the videos have inspired this couch potato to get out and do a few hikes of my own in my area with my kids! You guys are the best, keep up the amazing work!
I have had excellent docents in Bodie and at Mono (and many other places). I served as a docent in Dixie NF Utah and at Grover Hot Springs SP in Markleeville CA. Having a decent tour guide really does enhance the experience. Nice of you to give big shout out to your guide.
Awesome video as always! I live in the bay area, so hope I can make it out there with my van in the fall when the aspens are shimmering yellow! I’m gonna miss you guys when you settle down and have your family, You have provided a legacy of beautiful places to visit behind you! Best TH-camrs ever!
I loved this video. I grew up in California and spent most of our family vacations in the Bridgeport area. Seeing you in the High Sierra Bakery really brought back memories. I stumbled upon your channel last week when I searched “Talkeetna” on TH-cam. I was in Talkeetna and Denali just last month and already wanted to be back in Alaska. Living in Texas now!
You guys have the most amazing adventures!! Thank you for taking me along!! You have found the perfect balance of showing epic views & talking & sharing your eating adventures. My former favorite travel video has turned into just constant talking & fast forward all the scenery. Thank you for filling that gap perfectly.
I love the eastern sierras. There is so much beauty. It’s a perfect summer get away for those who want to be intensely active or those who have to content themselves with drives to gorgeous vistas and short strolls. There are so many places you can get away from it all, while still close enough to charming towns to get supplies and wonderful meals. And go to fantastic museums about the area that made a huge stamp on the history of this country
Hey A+K+K !! That is a fantastic destination. So many changes of scenery. I envy all 3 of you! Even MORE trout, Adam. That’s a smooth cast my friend. I LOVE that big grin whenever you catch each fish. Just wait to you get into larger rivers … 19” rainbow or cutthroat. Can’t wait to see that. 🧑🏻🦲
@@AdventuresofAplusK The biggest I’ve seen this far is in the Selway river in Idaho or the Missouri River in Montana. There are bigger in BC in Canada … and maybe Yukon. Not as sure about those. You can get more catches from a drift boat, but in the right spot you can cast from shore. You keep on catching them and you’ll be hooking 20+ inch fish. And don’t let me have any hair from now on. Slick as it can be. Agreed? 😆
You guys always make us want to go everywhere you go. Thanks so much for your hard work and sharing with us. Love your excitement about everything from the vistas to the food. Blessings to you and Kona.
You guys are livin' the dream and I love it! We are loving Boston - we take the commuter rail downtown every weekend and just walk around aimlessly eating food and gawking at all the buildings and history. I miss the West, but Boston is pretty cool! I call it the San Francisco of the East Coast because of all the old architecture and the many hip neighborhoods and shops and the smart, progressive vibe.
The Eastern Sierra holds a special place in my heart, especially Bridgeport. And Little Lakes Valley? One man we saw said it reminded him of the Alps. Great video!
I totally agree with that statement :) And by far from me! PCH 1 is beautiful, but always the same. This area is more diverse with a lot more things to do and visit. Little Lakes Valley is the best hike in California that doesn't require a lot of elevation or walking for the whole day, and is friendly for most people. That aerial shot at Hot Creek was beautiful!
We hiked little lake valley in June of 2022...loved it...glad you guys got to see it. The shot of Katherine in the hammock and Adam fishing in the background epic!
Yes, yes, yes! So happy to see another video here, our fav area also. Have been to most of the places here (little lakes is our fav hike because it's not tough, and you can turn around anytime and still feel like it was great). Will have to try the pass hike and that Puerto Rican/Cuban resto in Mammoth. We missed that!
Every place you went in this video we have enjoyed so many times with our children and just us your video was beautiful and brought back so many wonderful memories. thank you
Those smiles after that first bite of bread pudding. Thanks for taking us along. The scenery is beautiful. I live in San Diego, there's so much of California I haven't seen. #Hotspringjacuzzi

Sadly you can no longer bath in the hot springs at Hot Creek anymore because it is unstable. But we use to go Fly-fishing and stay at the Ranch during the weekdays when it was cheaper in the 80's and 90's. One time I hiked down to Hot Creek with aching lower back pain. Lying in the water against the hot sand I could feel the vibrations underneath. The water was hot enough that I totally relaxed and felt my back release like a spring uncoiling. Hot Creek was a beautiful healing place.
@@AdventuresofAplusK There are other hot springs in the area but nothing like Hot Creek. It was attracting folks back in the 1920's. Berautiful scenery/photographjy!! My Uncle owns Wood's Lodge, on Lake George, very near where you were in your hammock. ❤ If you climb up behind Crystal Crag there is a nice lake - Crystal Lake.
I finally got to watch this video; I’m a little behind! The lakes you shared were absolutely gorgeous! The food and the hikes were great, too! I know you mentioned there was more detail on this area on your website but will you ever do a “travel guide”, too? I’m also glad that you’re taking some time off to enjoy, relax and recharge! So is July a good weather month? Looks like the nights and mornings can be cool. We did go to Bodi back in 2016 and really enjoyed it. So another great video!

At Devils Postpile? We went to it off camera. It was awesome!
My home! (Second to San Diego) so beautiful
Berautiful scenery/photographjy!! My Uncle owns Wood's Lodge, on Lake George, very near where you were in your hammock. ❤ If you climb up behind Crystal Crag there is a nice lake - Crystal Lake.
Agreed Best place in the USA
Hey that 2nd fish was auto "catch and release"! Always stunning footage in your vid, well done! BTW that burger needs beetroot :)
Haha a hands free release! 😂😂
I had beetroot on a burger in Oz…wasn’t a fan back then but maybe I’d like these days!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Fair enough! It is just something we have grown up with I guess!
Hey Debra! Thanks for watching!
What do you mean specifically by “travel guide”?
We have an Eastern Sierra road trip guide on our website, which is what we were referring to:
