Golda is excellent, and I love her - BUT she got one major question wrong. I'm from Devon, and we always put cream on our scones first! Cream is like butter, and you wouldn't put that on top of jam on your toast, would you?
April 29, 2022 Like Golda said some people disagree as SHE says she puts the jam on her scones first. So it sounds like it is a choice thing and not a wrong or right answer. Like the question asked in the U.S. Do you put milk in the bowl first then pour breakfast cereal in after or do you pour the cereal in the bowl first then pour the milk in after.
As for me, I pour the cereal in the bowl first then the milk after. I just assumed everyone did it this way until I found out some others do it the other way.
