One of Lovebites' unque selling points is their flawless live performances. For "Swan Song", Miyako combined elements of her favorite classics: Frederic Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude and Dvorak's "New World Symphony" She also stated that the final piano part represents the swan dying. From the album "Electric Penragram" Music: Miyako Lyrics: Asami Arrangement: Miyako/Lovebites
Gotcha. Many great bands have made their name in history off one or two masterpieces. In five short years, Lovebites gave us a half dozen. This is clearly one of them. For your viewers who are unfamiliar with the background: Chopin was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now one of the best metal guitarists in the world. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor).
Miyako composed the music and Asami wrote the lyrics. Miyako never took guitar lessons, at 17/18 she decide to go into metal music. So she got a guitar and "how to" book and learned to play. The piano is a rental and Miyako does not like it; A) its electronic and B) it has plastic keys. Her piano at home was a birthday gift from her parents and she, from her birthday money, had it upgrade to wood keys. They are rather petite ladies, Asami and Haruna are less than 5 feet tall and Midori and Miho are barely 5 feet tall, finally Miyako is 5'2" maybe. So they decided that wearing white would reflect the stage lighting and they would stand out more on the dark stages common with metal stage sets. The piano backing track is Miyako, who else could it be!! Miyako has a YT channel and she smiles!!
Absolutely fantastic reaction. “Royalty” “Classy”. Spot on. I’ll add another. “majestic”. You’ve found the best band that has ever stood on a stage. They have no peers, no equal. And beware of picking a favourite, they have 50 potential favourites. But given what you like, I think you should check out “Frozen Seranade” which, if anything, outdoes Swansong for presentation and drama.
It's all down to personal taste. For me, their 2021 performance of "Frozen Serenade" may edge this by a hair. To my knowledge, this is the only recorded performance in which Miyako actually played the Chopin Etude itself (elements of it are incorporated into "Swan Song"). She later said she was more nervous for this than for any other show they've done, because there was absolutely nowhere to hide if she made a mistake.
Well, Miyako is a perfectionist, and although she absolutely masters her instruments, she says that she often feels nervous before the show. I am sure, that she always finds several mistakes in her playing. But they are mistakes, that listeners can't hear or see even if they try.

It’s a masterpiece! There’s genius involved in this music.. in my opinion, you won’t find a better song anywhere. The lead vocalist is a classically trained ballerina, which explains her gracefulness. What did you think of Miyako’s dual mind-blowing performances?
Yes, singer Asami's movement resembles a swan because this is Swan Song and she's got a ballerina background. If you like more classic piano, try their Final Collision with a piano intro. Very nice reaction. An epic Lovebites tune you should check out is Frozen Serenade. I don't know if it will beat Swan Song for you but it's another great one.
This band is on top of the Metal Mountain! They're on a whole different level. Their most popular slow song is Epilogue. It's a Scorpions style ballad and has Still Loving You vibes. Their song Break The Wall is Slayer type of song. You gotta check those out! They wear dresses because they said they didn't want to dress like the typical metal band. They want everyone to know that they are sophisticated women and can play metal with the best of any bands. The singer is a rhythm and blues singer. She didn't even know what metal was when she joined the band. When she asked what type of music they played Miyako told her heavy metal. Asami has one of the most beautiful voices in music. LoveBites is another bucket list band of mine. I need to see these ladies live before I pass! These ladies are a force to be reckoned with. They're my favorite band! #LOVEBITESRULEZ #WOLFPACK4EVER
Swan Song is the cherry on their cake. As for Miyako, what more can be said? She was first hired as a background support guitarist but she has quietly taken over by composing many of their songs and by integrating as a contributing pianist. MIYAKO!
I often read this and that's a huge mistake: she wasn't hired as a "background guitarist" at all. The mistake comes from the fact she was at first labelled "support musician". But it was only for legal reason, because she was under contract with other acts back then, so Lovebites couldn't feature her as a member. But they knew from the start she was a gem, and absolutely wanted her!
My persoal favourites are: -Epilogue - th-cam.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/w-d-xo.html - A slow ballad of epic proportions -Empty Daydream - th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html - Another ballad that burns slow but ends in fire. Also another showpiece for Miyako's piano -Dancing With The Devil - th-cam.com/video/mJGgLFTPME8/w-d-xo.html - A bluesy rocker with Asami at her best! But any other song will do just as fine with these ladies!
In 1831, the anti-government movement "November Revolution" initiated by officers and the general public against the Polish government under the control of imperial Russia ended in failure due to the direct intervention of the Russian army. Chopin, a Polish, will be informed of this news while traveling. He lost his homeland. Around the time the Russian army invaded Warsaw, "Etude OP10 No12" was announced by his agent in Paris. His agent hyped and eventually became known as the "revolutionary etude." Miyako composed "Swan Song" with reference to this etude and Dvorak's "New World". Asami wrote the lyrics by overlaying the historical episode of "Revolutionary Etude" with the image of Norse mythology and "Swan Lake". "Swan Song" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to regain their homeland, and is a masterpiece that can only be produced by LOVEBITES.
Great reaction my friend. Here is one Lovebites song that is my personal favorite and it includes the piano too. React to "A Frozen Serenade" the live version. Use this link: th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html
Just as a side note, the intro, the whole song and the outro is all in minor chords , BUT it becomes absolutely brilliant when Miyako rises the third in that last chord and it becomes major, absolutely brilliant...
All five women are classically trained pianists, but Miyako is the one who always composes her songs using the classical elements infused to get a much better sound. with Miyako composing 50% of their songs it is very evident in every song you hear. More Piano and slower to powerful songs would be as followed, Edge of the World, Empty Daydreams, Epilogue, Frozen Serenade, Today is the day, Paranoia, No time to Hesitate, and Dystopia Symphony. The backtrack of the piano was pre-recorded by Miyako and ends with the same line by Miyako
Awesome reaction. This song deserves an award and this song is going to be a tough one to beat. Yes that was a backing track during the song because unfortunately theres only 1 Miyako but then at the end switches to piano and plays that backing track. If you want to check out a song that has some Beethoven influence from Lovebites I recommend "Winds of Transylvania" Live link th-cam.com/video/aIuR_-uADSc/w-d-xo.html

LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan

They want everyone to know that they are sophisticated women and can play metal with the best of any bands. The singer is a rhythm and blues singer. She didn't even know what metal was when she joined the band. When she asked what type of music they played Miyako told her heavy metal. Asami has one of the most beautiful voices in music. LoveBites is another bucket list band of mine. I need to see these ladies live before I pass! These ladies are a force to be reckoned with. They're my favorite band!

Thank you SO MUCH for your incredible feedback!❤️🔥🎉
Incredible Goddesses of Metal
Swan Song is the cherry on their cake. As for Miyako, what more can be said? She was first hired as a background support guitarist but she has quietly taken over by composing many of their songs and by integrating as a contributing pianist. MIYAKO!
Incredible!❤️🔥🎉
I often read this and that's a huge mistake: she wasn't hired as a "background guitarist" at all. The mistake comes from the fact she was at first labelled "support musician". But it was only for legal reason, because she was under contract with other acts back then, so Lovebites couldn't feature her as a member. But they knew from the start she was a gem, and absolutely wanted her!
@@realdocloco thanks for clarifying that for me. Miyako has become my favorite member of the band, hands down.
@@FaintlyTapping she's one of a kind!
My persoal favourites are:
-Epilogue - th-cam.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/w-d-xo.html - A slow ballad of epic proportions
-Empty Daydream - th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html - Another ballad that burns slow but ends in fire. Also another showpiece for Miyako's piano
-Dancing With The Devil - th-cam.com/video/mJGgLFTPME8/w-d-xo.html - A bluesy rocker with Asami at her best!
But any other song will do just as fine with these ladies!
Yes!🎉 Thank you SO MUCH for your suggestions!❤️🔥🎉

Miyako the Goddess of rock and classical music. The ultimate musician!
His agent hyped and eventually became known as the "revolutionary etude."
Miyako composed "Swan Song" with reference to this etude and Dvorak's "New World".
This is PRICELESS feedback! Thank you SO MUCH!❤️🔥🎉
Great reaction my friend. Here is one Lovebites song that is my personal favorite and it includes the piano too. React to "A Frozen Serenade" the live version. Use this link: th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html
Thank you SO MUCH for your suggestion!❤️🔥🎉
Frozen Serenade is awesome
Just as a side note, the intro, the whole song and the outro is all in minor chords , BUT it becomes absolutely brilliant when Miyako rises the third in that last chord and it becomes major, absolutely brilliant...
That's INCREDIBLE feedback! Thank you SO MUCH!❤️🔥🎉
All five women are classically trained pianists, but Miyako is the one who always composes her songs using the classical elements infused to get a much better sound. with Miyako composing 50% of their songs it is very evident in every song you hear.
Thank you SO MUCH for your great feedback!❤️🔥🎉
Every songs of Lovebites are 10/10
Yes!❤️🔥🎉
The word you were looking for is complexity my friend.
Yes! Thank you SO MUCH!❤️🔥🎉
Awesome reaction.
Thank you SO MUCH for your kind words and incredible feedback!❤️🔥🎉
The piano playing 🎹....wasn't it great .😎

This one will blow you away. Be sure to watch it all the way to the end. The goddesses take a bow for the crowd. This was the last song of the concert. They closed the show with a bang! th-cam.com/video/u299XjBNiCg/w-d-xo.html

Yoshiki dr piano, Sugizo g violin.
Yoshiki: composer, record producer, pianist. In 1999, at the request of the Japanese government, he composed and performed a classical song at a celebration in honor of the tenth anniversary of Emperor Akihito's enthronement. Composed the theme for the 69th Golden Globe Awards. He played his songs at Carnegie Hall. He turns into beasts on drums (he damaged his neck and had surgery).
