    Safe to assume her employers did it. Being a painter and a photographer, they would most likely have multiple studios or shops where they do their work and where they could hide/dispose of a body, and a dumpster at their home was on fire around the time the victim's remains were found, and the artwork is all way too coincidental.

I think both of them were far more guilty after they removed the final piece of art, which concluded that they knew the case more than anyone else. Number 2, if it was after the case and they knew about her death, wouldn't be kind of insult to injury to person death and no remorse for her death as well.

The employers may have had nothing at all to do with her murder, but decided not to cooperate because of all the messy details about their own lives it would have brought up. Maybe he had such a strong alibi that he was immediately off the table? Cops often work weekends/nights and frequently travel with partners - if this was the case at the time of her disappearance, he would have had a water-tight alibi with corroborating testimony. It's also entirely possible that he was at the scene of another crime at the time of her disappearance, in which case he would have once again had a water-tight alibi. What about any of the other guys she dated during her time in Boston? Why are you not equally focused on them?

    • @colep5867
      @colep5867 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@yayhandles The subject of my comment was the obvious inconsistency in available suspect information, not the cops guilt. It's probable this guy DID have an airtight alibi. but we don't know because they chose not to tell us. If they had released the details of their investigation into the cop but kept everything about the guy with the white dog top secret, i would be commenting about how it was weird that the police refused to release any information about the guy with the white dog.
      As for the last question I'm not certain I understand, are you asking me why I am focusing on someone who was a subject of the video over people not featured in the video?

    This was an extremely good video as it broached the possibility of "if someone won the lottery could something bad actually happen?" As for who killed Karina though I think it was her male employer. Of all the witnesses who seemed to be reliably retelling that night's events it seems to be the one who said she left with an older gentleman, as that camera collaborated that she was indeed hanging around someone older I think what happened is Karina's friend saw her hanging around that Superman cosplayer, but sometime after that her boss showed up offered to take her home, and then did the deed which is when I think her female employer comes into play, as I think she stumbled in on him having already sawed Karina in half and was forced to secrecy or willingly helped to clean and dispose of the body only later confessing her guilty conscience through her artwork.

    IMO: Susan wasn't involved, and her paintings are not a coincidence, they're just a way to express her feelings, maybe capturing the moment of her death, but the one with the angel definitely seems like something she'd paint in grieving like feelings. The "terrible thing" might have been rape, but by the hands of whom, I don't know. It could be Frank, it could be the cop who was still into her, and would indeed be something too heavy to just write in a letter, and either because he was her boss and a known man, or because he was a cop, she did not go to the police but wanted to just go back home, and maybe getting super drunk at the club was a way of numbing herself and try to forget it for just a moment, but the culprit wasn't gonna let her leave and blab, so they might have sent someone else in place (hence why nobody says they recognised Frank etc, or someone else), and they threatened or enticed or something else her in the car, and then bam. The fact her lower body wasn't just tossed so carelessly might mean that they really didn't want anyone to find out that she had been assaulted, and maybe find dna, hair, what have you. It could also be that it was Frank all along, and maybe they did have a relationship, maybe just a one night stand, and then she thought it was wrong, and he panicked thinking she'd tell the wife, and when she indeed left on her own to go home (maybe told her friends, but they were too drunk to understand/remember), she arrived only to find him there who jumped her, brought her somewhere, and took care of it. I think if Susan was involved whatsoever, she wouldn't have involved her in her art at all, trying to bury everything to not raise suspicions. But, that's just a theory...

      The way she was drained of blood leads me to think it was a doctor (doctors usually drain blood for embalming) and being that they cut her in half they knew exactly how to do it with some sort of saw and just cremated the bottom portion of the body
      So I wonder if she was kidnapped and used for a human experiment for the black market but things didn’t go exactly as planned and they cut her in half, drained her body, put the lower portion in the furnace and just bagged her upper half (maybe they couldn’t put it in the furnace and they didn’t have any acid to dissolve the body) and tossed it in the bin since they knew she came from a different country (all alone) no one would know she’s missing

    I'd be interested to know if there was any new or nearly complete construction in the area. A circular power saw isn't a common item for people to own in the city. Also the ligature was called a cord not a rope making think it was a smooth item instead of a braided rope ie a power drop cord. I think the cleaning was no so much to hide evidence of the attack. With the time table I'd expect someone to just wipe down the body not completely clean it down to removing the make up, but to cover up a botched attempt to hide the body. I think maybe the perp tried to hide her in a concrete form at a construction site but it was not big enough for the whole body. It had to be removed and the concrete washed off with a hose or power washer (which would have drawn out the blood if she'd already been separated) and the lower half hidden as originally planned in the concrete and the torso nearby because there was not another area of the concrete to hide it in.

      Actually happened to my sister; they were doing voluntary screenings using a newly developed technology for finding cancer and stuff, and my sister decided to go do it because it was free and would help provide data for new cancer research. They ended up catching a tumor in her head as well as her spine, and because of that she was able to get surgeries to remove both. I went to visit her both times after the surgery to help around her house while she recovered. She's doing well now but that was crazy. For further context she was in the army for a while before this and apparently tumors tend to form wherever you got bone breaking injuries; the tumors grew right where she had been injured in her army days. I think she has like 80% disability or something. My whole family is composed of teachers and soldiers and every soldier in the family has sustained some form of injury that put them on disability. I'm about to get my teaching degree.

After this I refused to ever go to ZanZbar again! And I never did! My friends & I created a buddy system that we always stuck to as well! Prior to this incident we were reckless!!
    I still believe that her employers had something to do with it too! Things that their other nannies had said were just jarring and eerie to say the least! Not to mention had many they had already gone through! My ❤ still goes out to Corina’s family… I 🙏🏼 that her case will someday be solved so that they may find closure:(

    Very interesting case. Three things i can add to the speculation. 1st: While barely anyone had mobile phones back then, people used stationary public payphones like crazy. They should've checked nearby payphones for connection data to any of the suspects. 2nd: Art can never be used as evidence, maybe as motive or some sort of red flag if it was made before the incident. But afterwards i wouldn't use any artwork, even by a potential suspect, as evidence. If we start using art as evidence, we will convict many innocent souls who just got a bit too curious about certain matters or even cases. 3rd: Even tho i just had her back with point 2, now something incriminating for the paintress - seasoned artistic painters usually have worked with many materials and paints in different levels of viscosity. Up to a point where in many cases they either have to dry or even drain an art object of liquid. This would've given her the knowledge of how to effectively drain an object and maybe even a human body.
