i think they are 3mm in thickness and about 5mm in length (similar to the smaller ones that comes with the servo sg90) but i used smaller and it worked( 1.4mm in thickness and about 4mm in length).
Velleman has a spider robot kit (allbot). All is freeware. The 3d files for the chasis, legs and the arduino program. So if your struggling with the movements you can check their code. They have some options ( 2 servo leg, 3 servo leg, bluetooth) in their codes. I bought one for 99 euro's including the legs and chasis, the servo's, arduino board, a servo shield with ir and bluetooth module and battery shield. They also released a sensor pack. So codes for that should also be available. Good luck with your projects!

was a good project. it did involve a lot of pausing of this vid, and a total remodel of the stl, in blender, and cura to fit the circuit board shape, small print bed, and servos, also new battery compartment to fit 2 lipo batteries. I look forward to experimenting further with obstacle avoidance, stairs, and adding pincers..

Go to amazon or ebay,You will get them cheap and at times 2,4 or 6 packs for dirty cheap. Or you can get a higher volt battery and just use a converter or step down mod. I get alot of my electronic's from both places to build ideas or customized Robotics for others.

So I got the legs and everything to work but the legs move in the incorrect directions. Do I need to plug in the servo motors in a certain order?
