I love your videos on talking thru what will fit you. It takes a lot of thinking to figure out what you want. You do a lot of traveling and different climates, etc. I think it is so useful that you talk thru the things you are considering. Many of us go thru this when changing rigs. It is great to hear your thoughts with all the pros and cons. Thanks so much for doing these videos! They are so helpful!

Hi Dave! Glad to see Betty awake again. I had a Bounder 2000 36S from 2005 to 2019. Now have a 2016 Monaco Trek 26HM. Still miss the Bounder though. My Ozite ceiling like yours was a mess at the end and I tried a dozen different products but nothing worked. One day in Lowe's in the return line I was looking at the carpet cleaning products on the rack. Saw one in a spray bottle which featured Oxykleen so I bought it. Sprayed it on the worst area in my toilet room and let it set . To my surprise when I checked later, I could see a slight improvement. The secret is multiple applications, one or two a day . After 5 or 6 times I could hardly see a difference in the ceiling color. Amazing!

Either way you go, you will more than likely tow something. Class C with a Toad or perhaps a motorcycle rack, etc. Otherwise, you use the Class C to make grocery runs, site seeing trips, etc. Travel trailer with a tow vehicle, drop the trailer, use the tow vehicle to scout the area, have fun, grocery runner etc. etc. Pros and cons to all as you already know. I started with a travel trailer 27' then went to a cabover then to a Class C. Now I have a Power Wagon towing a 16 footer and I can go most anywhere. Boondocking galore in the outback. My Power Wagon is the Rubicon of trucks so not too many places it can't go. Good luck Dave sorting it all out. It can be a strenuous decision making process. You already know the benefits of most all classes of RV's so best wishes in you quest.

I am in some what the same situation with my 35' class A Winnebago. I now travel mostly by my self and I think it is a big rig for one person. But when I look at changing rigs and you factor in the next rig will cost more than I can sell my Winne for. The additional sales tax on another rig. I decided I can buy a lot of fuel for the difference of what changing rigs will cost. After all you still will have to buy fuel for the class C which might improve the mileage to maybe 8 in stead 6, in the long haul that much savings won't make much difference.

I agree with your assessment of various Rvs. I have had several Class A's and one Class C which I sold quickly. Not that Class C's are bad but this one had the corner bed and I knew I had made a mistake buying it almost immediately. At my age I need to be comfortable and make the RV chores as easy as I can. A walk around bed, quick disconnects on all my hose connections. A place for everything and remotes for things I cannot reach etc. For a woman alone I feel more secure in not having to get out of the vehicle if I don't want to. Don't have solar or Lithium batteries but strategic use of my onboard gen. plus the driving and the time hooked up, keeps my batteries up. I had big AGMs in my Bounder but now am back to lead acid basic batteries in the newer rig, which is ok for now but I will go to AGM's again asap.
My Lady Bounder was a great rig and I still miss her. Had about 90K miles when I sold her with new tires, new water heater, new water pump and both ac units, the furnaces and the generator were only a few years old. Hope the new owners take care of her.

You need a new venture, stick with the new van and go through Canada to get to Alaska. Bella emailed me and it is her suggestion.

I would LOVE something like Betty! My brother (who actually has more money than neccessary) has a newer one that I really don't consider for actual RV full time .

I've enjoyed your "thinking process" as I do the same thing when looking at significant purchases or changes. I decided a couple years ago a travel trailer was my gig but I too thought about a schoolie, cargo van, van, motor home, 5th wheel, hitch tow and had to weight all my needs and comfort levels. That people assume your process is just content bait is hilarious and says more about them and their issues than about you! 🤣.

You have a big decision. Best to take your time and think out loud if you need to Good to see Betty getting some exercise. Couldn't remember if you fixed the issue you mentioned a while back.

You will run across the perfect RV for you and Bella. Most of us have an idea of what we want but until we get out there and see what's available, you never know what may come along that seems the better deal. But in the meantime, take us along for the looking. So many want to RV and don't know exactly what they want. You walking us thru all your thoughts on each RV and what works and what doesn't, may help someone decide what they need to be looking for. I enjoy going along while you look and I enjoy watching the renovations. I think the van could be great for certain smaller areas or just a night or 2 away. But if you want to be gone for winter something bigger may be the answer. Either way, you will need both while stationary. Live in one, drive the other. I'll keep watching until you decide. HUGS~Donna

You need a smaller Class C just like me. I want something under 30 feet, four seasons and if it had a 4 X 4 it would be perfect. Hi Bella! Cheers!!!

There will always be doubters, but I figured you knew your Bounder better than anyone! Been following your adventures for quite some time now and very interested in your Class C search. Something that I am considering for Otis and I to continue our adventures a little beyond day-trips. Would really like a Class B, but they seem to be a little pricey at the moment, so a small as I can get Class C may fit the bill. Have been looking at the Adventurer 19rd...not sure if that is one that is available in the US or not, but they come out of Fraserway RV here in Canada as former rentals. But anyway, all the best success on your search! Take great care now...Bruce and Otis
