@@lezamaduque yeah man they really do! I’ve been following KEXP for a while and I always find new bands that I end up loving. This is the first time I’ve seen one of my bands make it to their screen, for such an intense performance in comparison to most on the show. It was a real treat
hell yeah. more metal please. there are so many creative and avant-garde black metal bands out there that i think could bring open minded KEXP viewers deeper into the weird world of metal

@@AbrahamhamhamI listen to Black Metal, Vaporwave, Classic Rock, Synthpop, Christian Folk, weird stuff that is often used in Dreamcore/ uncanny valley Videos, german Marschmusik and mayonese slapping sounds and everyone is just fine with it
This is where the healing happens. Not in the movies or universities, between people who love the same thing. Music will hold us together and heal the wounds between people. This band is making good medicine!

Pan American native front is one of the best things to come out of the modern metal scene. True to what black metal really is but different in its own way, along with kommodus they seem to be one of the only bands everyone can agree on, hails to curator of war

In what way are they exactly different to the others? Other than maybe the visuals & concept (and even that was also used before by for example Xibalba) there isn't much. I mean they aren't bad at all, quite good but nothing beyond good standard that I listened many examples with very similar sound during the past decades. So I'm curious to hear in what way you see them as outstanding, alongside Kommodus, compared to the rest? And why you think Kommodus is outstanding? It's all cool if they are your fave bands, I'm just curious to hear your opinion.
@@philcrutches5274 nah I wouldn’t say they’re my favourites, but I just mean the impact they have on the scene. Like everyone seems cool with them to some degree, they are different enough aesthetically to stand out while still seeming cool, they’re accessible enough for newer fans but not overproduced like a band like black braid or smt. And they also have good riffs whilst being punky and heavy for non black metal fans. It’s a hard mix to be appealing to black metal elitists, old school metalheads, pretentious nerds and beginner metalheads and yet p.a.n.f gets it

So sick to see KEXP host this amazing band. For anyone interested in more, Blackbraid and Tzompantli are also creating some really awesome Native black metal. Nechochwen are a bit different but also very worth checking out.

Didn't know this is black metal. Its got more groove in it than expected. Very nice!
Black metal got tons of groove. Check out Dissection if you don’t know. Or Abyssos. That’s more vampiric symphonic black metal but very melodic.
Black metal covers a wide range from bleak monotony to gorgeous melodic landscapes. It's my favourite metal genre for this very reason.
As the others said, black metal is wide. This band plays more of the old school black metal which had influences from trash and death metal.

if you look over the years, musicians have evolved in an incredible way. Just think this. Today when an artist who is at his peak with the trendy Trap/Reggaeton genres and its derivatives, only observes their live performances with musicians (if they have them)
Each and every one of them are metalheads. Please KEXP METAL IS TOO GOOD FOR MUSIC AND THE AMOUNT OF BRANCHES THEY COULD BRING IN WOULD BE INCREDIBLE, FROM EXPERIMENTAL TO INDUSTRIAL OR PROGRESSIVE. THERE ARE SO MANY OPTIONS. THINK ABOUT IT...
