Honestly the best guitar teacher! I’m a fairly advanced ear musician, who unfortunately took the lazy way out and skipped my theory, and lots of modes and scales. So now I’ve hit a wall I need it to get past and expand my musical language. I’ve been looking for someone that can explain these things well. And I haven’t found a better teacher! Been doing a video or two a night and catching up real quick ! Thanks man!!

Great lesson, thank you for explaining how what you're playing is related to the key, I love taking things I learn and having the ability to see how it's being done and use it in other keys. Thanks!

Hey thanks Callum Chesterman Witts , glad you liked this lesson. Thats what its all about; finding licks, breaking them down, figuring out how they work and then reusing their components. I would suggest playing these licks in a bunch of different keys, and then see if you can compose something based on them, as its always best to take a creative approach. Thanks again for watching, and have a happy Thanksgiving. -Rob

Hey jamie thomson, thanks for watching and for leaving a thoughtful comment. Yes, thats my theme song, an old instrumental my former band Kickin' Bear recorded called Lady Monsoon. This won't stick if you just memorize the scales. Figure out the chords and break them down, only then will you understand what is happening on the neck, and it'll come naturally and stick. Playing scale boxes over and over again will cause more hindrances later on in your playing.
