STIHL Weed eater Becomes ECHO Stick Edger / Shaft Swap Made Easy

Today I have a reliable Stihl short shaft weedeater and a Echo Stick edger with a shot motor.. I want to put my Stihl motor on my Echo stick edger.. will it work.. of course it will .. lets do it

Hey Munky; cool video! I never realized parts could possibly be swapped between manufacturer's weed eaters! Question: might you have a retractable pull start for an MTD weedeater that mounts to the back side of the motor? Mine destructed internally, and new replacements just make it not worth it to order one for an old weedeater. Thanks! BTW, my Dad's outboard motor project has now started. Uploaded vid #1 last night on getting it down and on a stand.

Yeah it Surprised me that u can swap manufacturer parts when I first learned about it. I'm sorry I don't have any mtd parts. In my small space I can't keep many spare parts laying around but I'll keep my eyes out. I have a couple whole weedeaters here I think a cub and a Troy and a ryobi. If u can cross ref a number between manufacturer I can check see if I have something u can use and send it to ya np.. I'll check out your outboard vid tonight . I'm filming a mercury outboard repair today myself
