English and literature class always been my weakest subject when i was in school mainly because it never caught my interest. however my sophomore year when my class was on this story i actually enjoyed it. Every now and then i play the story again to bring back my high school memories. This was back in 2009.
I remember this from 11th grade English. A funny story, my teacher, Mrs. Ashworth, when we were reviewing one line mentioning the quagmire (the swamp), she asked "What's a quagmire?". Then me and someone else started saying "Giggity, giggity, giggity", and Mrs. Ashworth said "NOT from Family Guy".
A masterpiece beautifully presented by the reader, sounding a little like Vincent Price. Irving write three incredible short stories, masterpiece of early American literature. Rip Van Winkle, Devil and Tom Walker and his classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I have never seen this classic creepy tale, adapted into a n animated short, or television show. It should be done, needs to be done.

Who else is here because in the final episode of succession Tom mentions to Greg that he has made a deal with the devil (not with the siblings but with Logan, hence the fact that Logan already knew they were coming because Tom informed him) and this story is likely synonymous to what is going to happen in season 4
You have such a natural "voice" for narrating. I subbed and have listened to at least a dozen stories so far. I am a big Ray Bradbury fan -- so I welcome you to do more his works! Also a huge fan of H.P. Lovecraft! As I am sure many others are. Well enough of making suggestions, lol! Keep up the great work!

If you can recommend few favourite under-rated, not so well known writers in your favorite genres, I would love to check them out.(under rated since I have checked out most of the famous and pop writers)

Stories previously unfamiliar to me. I'm more of a fantasy film buff, so I notice a lot of films were based on ideas, themes and narratives of these stories. Offshore- The process of creating the audio varies from author to author. The Devil and Tom Walker took about 4 days. I read/rehearse, make notes on the I-pad I read from and research unfamiliar words during this stage. On this one, I recorded it twice and then cut it together with the best "takes" from each session. I spend as little time as I have to wrapping the final audio narration up with a bow in the visual "titles"/credits material. Sound effects and music are a last and least important consideration. If I can't come up with something that works to enhance and not distract from the story in an hour then I won't use anything. I think I lucked out with the music for D&TW with the early American period piece "Captain Kidd." Cheers. E.E.F.

I ask, because, there's a wonderful series by R.A. Salvatore called 'The Dark Elf Trilogy', telling of the life of Drizzt Do'Urden, and it'd be great to hear you read it. I have subscribed to your channel, not as "I've subscribed so do as I say", or something ridiculous... just so I can listen to more of your readings, and in the event you DO read The Dark Elf Trilogy, I can be notified. If you don't want to post the reading of it tho, I do still very highly recommend it as a personal read for yourself. It's an incredibly awesome book...
