Comments vs Notes in Excel 365 - Tutorial

  • Comments in Excel 365 are a bit different than other versions. In Excel 365, you can use Threaded Comments to have discussions with team members.
    In this Excel tutorial, we walk through how you can use Threaded Comments in Excel Office 365. You'll see how to start discussions, reply to comments, Resolve a Thread, tag users in Threaded Comments.
    You'll also see how you can show or print all Comments in a worksheet.
    But, what if you just want to make a note for yourself?
    The "old" style Comments in Excel are now called Notes. They're still accessible with all of the same formatting options as before, they just have a new name.

    Can you do a tutorial on notes disappearing out of office 365 spreadsheets and how to get them back?

    I was looking for hours to how I can export my excel to PDF and keeping those "new" comments, but apparently it's just not supported at all. SHAME ON YOU Microsoft and Acrobat !

      If you select some columns or rows and then go to the 'data' tab, there is a 'group' option.
