Hey Karin! I'm going to start studying Interior Design after have finished a degree in Law. it is very inspiring to watch you work, manage your own business and still not lose your creative touch. Not sure how it is in Canada...but in the US. It's different here. It's really hard to get a job as a designer. I always wanted to work for a firm but they have long hours and it's really competitive. The best thing to do here is to start as an intern while you are in school and try to work your way from there. I skipped that step.

What suggestions do you have for interior designers in terms of setting measurable short and long-term goals. I'm really struggling with this, and I know there are just so many variables in each business and with each client that makes it hard to do but I figure if there's anyone on earth that would be able to answer that question for me it would be you. I can't hide I'm a little disappointed with this Q+A. I've asked a design/business-related question on Instagram and I've been waiting for this video for weeks. I'm not disappointed because you didn't answer my question but because you answered to some questions that, to me, are not related to design and business (such as having babies, your star sign or your favorite coffee). I make treasure of every single content you share because you inspire me a lot as a business woman. But then you take time to reply to these questions and not more work related questions...
I totally understand, as an interior designer I follow her for the business advice. However, I like when she talks a little about herself, I think her personality had a great impact on her achievements.

I was finished my bachelor degree from interior design last month and now i do a freelance. Actually i do freelance because i still thinking about two things. How if i work to a design firm and how if i continue to pursue my master degree. But i already know your answer based on this QnA video that your way was go to a design firm after your graduated and then build your own business. Thank you for sharing your experience, it was inspired me a lot and i know well that just myself who can decide what is best for me. You have inspire me to always loving this work life and tell me to be more stronger as an interior designer.
