I didn't realize Sabrina Voinea was a senior already! I've been following her since she was really young ... Look forward to watching her compete as a senior, and possibly making the Olympics.
I love how they are so young yet they seem to have the maturity of a seasoned and mature gymnast. They take on their tumbling beautifully and are able to make majority stuck landings with minimal deductions. I also love that they are from different countries. Can't wait to see them develop more and compete together in competition🙌🙌🙌❤️
@@nancyhorton6814 They will at least qualify one athlete from Worlds but the story of team qualification is a story to be told. If the new seniors stay healthy they have a good chance of qualifying a full team but they will need nearly all three to be healthy and contributing. (Edit: Voinea is the only one mentioned in this video, but Amalia Ghigoarta and Amalia Puflea are the other two I was mentioning)

@@camelianedelcu5640 Yes. Puflea is currently dealing with an alleged abusive coaching situation and due to issues with her parent's custodial rights it is not being resolved. Ghigoarta and Voinea were named to the 2023 National Team however so they are both still in good standing. Puflea was left off the team, but I imagine that if she brings herself back to up to a competitive level that will change. Antonia Data was also left off.
Audi suffered a serious injury before her first senior season. There were some delays to her comeback due to COVID and other illnesses and she's never quite regained her old skill level. She is however still competing and doing fairly well with lower level routines!
02:38 The Romanian has really bad leg form on each apparatus. Very sloppy. I'm an 80's era gymnast and you would never see that from a Romanian back then. What happened?!
Amalia Ghigoarta from România is also first year senior , better toe point, leaps ,flexibility, artistry and she scored many times higher than Sabrina în the AA last year, she is more fragile and not so strong on vault as Sabrina but she can be lovely on UB
The new kids on the block...looks promising indeed. I remember Sabrina Voinea from Romania being a very promising junior some years ago. They nicknamed her the new Simone Biles. I guess we'll have to see about that, as the other competitors are just as exciting. Paris here we come!😉
The e score will kill Sabrina. She has all the tricks but her form is weak. I have been watching her progression since shes been 7. She can do almost every trick in the book but she needs to work on form. There is still time for her.

So true. :-( They really seem to struggle to get vaulting back to how it was. Cheng Fei was their most successful vaulter but let's not forget just about every girl on that Beijing 2008 team had a DTY and Jiang Yuanyuan also had an Amanar (though I think her injury got in the way of solid performance of it at the Olympics) in recent times it's rare to see any of their AA contenders performing a DTY. I know the head coach who trained Cheng fei is no longer alive and perhaps they just haven't found someone who can get those vaults happening (though I don't understand why, it seems like a coaching issue due to it being so widespread).
@@lizzie7654 i agree, their vaulting at the Tokyo Olympics was a disaster, 2 falls and one big step out of bounds. They never recovered in the team final after that. These days its like they’ve given up on FX and Vault and they only concentrate on BB and UB.
China would have less trouble if they’d get past their tendency to only choose tiny little girls who can’t get a good strong block off the vault table. The best vaulters in the world are not so tiny and extremely explosive in the legs and with their blocks.

Russia is banned still due to the war in Ukraine. There has been mention of possibly letting them compete under Asia instead of Europe but i disagree!! Russia needs to pull out and quit trying to revive the soviet union
Russia should not be permitted to participate in the Olympics next year at all. They are murdering innocent people for no reason, and they support the use of performance enhancing drugs in most of their sports. Those two things should preclude a country from such a prestigious event.
Thoughts on the step downs on bars? I personally dislike them. For me it shows that they are compensating for a lack of flexibility ? Why is it allowed? I'm not educated enough in the current COP
I thought it’s easier on shins and less wear and tear on your joints, not the bits that are meant to be flexible. Some of the most flexible gymnasts of the past still worked that way.
I know these are all new elite seniors, but the first gymnast is gonna have to tighten up her tumbling and get those jumps and legs up in the air and at least 180°
FOR REAL! Love to see them on this and the UB. Having said that, I will really like them to strike a balance in their overall program though as they woefully fall short on the vault and floor apparatuses and this has cost them a place in the team finals for years. Hope they can fix this.
Sabrina is going to get crucified on execution. She reminds me of Michaela Skinner. Throwing all the skills but shocking execution. What’s the point🤷🏻♀️
What are you talking about??? Their toe point is fine? It’s better than most gymnasts, including some of the gymnasts on this list. Funny you didn’t say about Sabrina who’s notorious for her poor form which includes lots of flexed feet. You can tell which “gym fans” don’t keep up with gymnastics and just go off of old myths.

Sabrina's form is improving. She is now being trained by Christian Moldovan and her mother. The video left out several talented Romanians who are now senior . Amalia Ghigoarta and Amalia Puflea . However Amalia Puflea is not training at the moment due to some coaching issues . You should check those 2 gymnasts out
What are you talking about? The video lists the name of the gymnast and the country they are from before each montage...if you're confused it's bc you were not paying attention...
Unfortunately I think it might be what you say even though other countries that are responsible for crimes against humanity are competing ( watch out, not saying Russia shouldn't be held accountable for what they have done but...)
