I was grimacing at the early prices of the new ace for imperial and omni but seeing as they are only one or two ofs in the decks I play and still getting value out of them I might just snag them now.

My first ever deck I played with when I got the starter decks and now I’m looking to build off it since BT12! I am so ready to build this! However I will say that the new Paildramon is ridiculously expensive! I was lucky to pull one from a pack, but with it going $30 a pop on TCG Player is nuts! I still run ST9 Paildramon cause the removal and the unsuspending when attacking is still really good!

Probably the single most "complete" deck in the game. It has everything.

Single most overpowered deck that needs to be hit.

Personally I prefer to run Togemogumon over Lighdramon. I find that having an early game Blocker with Armor Purge helps more than Lighdramon does.

I also like running Wormmon's more over Veemons. It triggers Demiveemon's draw effect more easily that way. Since Togemogu digivolves on top of Worm for cheaper (and any blue, not just Veemon), I think it's a better move

I feel like this deck is Bandai saying they hate purple, as a purple player.
Like damn. Before this support, it already felt impossible to deal with. Can't rely on security checks because Paildramon has jamming. Can't rely on security bombs because it'll partition and they do it again. Can't attack into them because they blast digivolve. They have better stun/control tactics than Purple off a single level 5.
Now? Still can't delete them because they have a custom card with that option card that basically allows them 2 free Digivolutions. Still can't attack because of Blast Digivolution. Only hope is to finish them off before they can get their combo started. Which is incredibly difficult considering nearly every card they need is searchable, and their custom tamers let them combo off every turn. And there's not a whole lot of tamer hate in the game.
And this is all not even mentioning Paladin Mode. I hate this deck. I don't want to be negative, but I genuinely don't know what I'm supposed to do if I go against it. It's got too much going for it, in my opinion. Aggression, control, protection, searchabilty, Ukkomon synergy, and blast digivolutions. Only thing it doesn't have are security bombs. Not that you need it when you've got Blast Digivolutions and don't have to worry about your stack getting deleted, though.

Counter point: Fenriloogamon lower end/DexDorugoramon upper end.

    • @christg99
      @christg99 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@kyletucker3811 I might consider building DexDorugoramon, but since my locals doesn't meet too often, I often can't justify the investments.
But I do play Takemikazuchi. Went against Imperialdramon the other day, actually. Same issue.
The ONLY counter to the entire Imperialdramon deck is getting into Takemikazuchi and deleting their stack. But there's a few problems with this approach:
      1. You need to be faster than your opponent. Unless you have a custom hand, all your opponent needs is one of their many searchable tamers to be faster than you, and beat you to it.
      2. Paladin mode.
      3. Paladin mode.
      4. Paladin mode.
      5. Unless you can OTK them, they will crack back, and you will lose.
      6. The option card that literally protects them from deletion. BT16 Fenriloogamon isn't optional. If you try triggering that first, they will either use that option card (or just Parition and do it all again), and you will lose your stack.
It's not a counter. It's just the only purple deck that stands a chance. And that's not a counter point. That's the bare minimum.
DexDoru, though? Maybe. I'll have to see for myself.

    • @christg99
      @christg99 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@kyletucker3811 Not sure why, but my initial reply didn't go through.
I'll have to test out Dexdoru myself, but since my locals is pretty small and don't meet all too often, I'm not able to justify just building decks left and right.
Fenrilooga, assuming you are talking about the Takemikazuchi variant, I can give comment on. It's the bare minimum.
Takemikazuchi can circumvent the protection Paildramon gets from the option card, the blast digivolution, and the combo can potentially get rid of something it partitions into. But there's a few problems.
      1. That's a level 7 Digimon and the deck's ENTIRE COMBO needing to deal with something Imperial can bring out on turn 2. Looga will need a custom hand to match that speed. It's not even close.
      2. BT16 Fenrilooga, which is a requirement for the combo, has a mandatory deletion effect. If the option card is out, they will go into Dragon Mode from the hand and interrupt the entire string before your stuff gets to resolve. So that doesn't work.
      3. Paladin mode.
      4. Paladin mode.
      5. Paladin mode. Seriously. Even hard playing this guy costs just 1 more memory than some of Purple's best deletion cards (Ie biting crush) to get rid of your opponent's entire trash. That's genuinely insane.
      6. Unless you can kill them on the spot when you successfully pull of the combo (which requires them to have Paildramon and not have the inexpensive 2 card option card out, like that's going to happen with how searchable and free everything is), they can just do it all again on the following turn for very, very little investment. And Takemikazuchi doesn't have any protection.
Fenrilooga isn't a counter or an answer to the deck. It is the bare minimum a purple deck would need to actually get over this insane deck (which still isn't even the best). The existence of Magna X is even worse on purple.
DexDoru, I can't say for certain because again, I don't play it, and I can't just playtest every deck that comes out. But even if it is somehow a counter? Great. But neither are a counter point. It's the bare minimum to a serious issue with how hard Purple is being screwed.

Imperialdramon best deck. I love how strong the deck is, yet still it's not invincible. Consistency still a problem specifically if you don't open well (speaking for myself) but when everything works, it works fantastic

I think you should consider Togemogumon instead of Lighdramon, its more memory efficient.
I'd also suggest looking into playing the BT17 Davis & Ken instead of the old Davis. You've already got plenty of draw and search power and having the ability to cover partitions holes as well as blitz is really good. It also makes your opponent have to make a tough choice if they have tamer hate.

    • @vexmilklatte3904

I agree with this. It gives much more long term value than Davis does.
