Personally, I would love a full Virus deck, but that might just be me. It is interesting that you mentioned Different Dimension Dragon, since Kaiba is also the first duelist to use Dimension Fusion as well as Soul Absorption. Also, in the Pyramid of Light movie, both his duels had him use strategies built around Return from the different Dimension. So yeah, please an actual D.D. deck. It would also help with getting out Jet Iron, which is currently quite difficult. Also I don't like the other D/D deck or the guy who played it.
Clearly joey is the most influential duelist as everyone who doesn't buy a structure deck makes his deck style of putting whatever you got around until you hit 40.

Fun fact, in the Arc-V anime, there is a character who used a La Jinn archetype deck. He only appeared for a few episodes, but it was still nice to see that.

I think the main reason that kaiba has less support is because bewd is more popular than dark magician. And that yugi's deck was always a collection of cards, 3 knights, 3 magnets, 2 chimera, 2 card combo for gaia knight fusion. While kaiba is usually just 1 offs. It's easier to make a card when the concept for them working together is already there. But there are so many cards that kaiba used that would be amazing for an archetype, battle ox, vorse raider, kaiser glider, la jinn, saggi the dark clown. Yugi also had one offs, but those were usually a boss monster, while kaiba had only 1 boss monster.
Don't forget Ryu - Kishin Powered. I can see both he and Saggy being Virus searcher cards if they were restrained. But knowing Kaiba, he would probably have a New Virus card that would target the extra deck.
I think it's two reasons. Kaiba had way fewer duels than Yugi since he wasn't the protagonist, and as a result he had less opportunities to show off different cards that could have been made into different archetypes. Also, he's devoted to blue-eyes, and the relatively fewer duels he's in compared to Yugi all end up having to feature blue-eyes somehow. As a result writing duels where he's using different archetypal cards would conflict with his characterization.
A Swordstalker archetype that shows how Duos (Egyptian Preist Seto's Ka who never got a card equivalent) became the Swordstalker would be an awesome archetype in terms of anime fanservice.
while not like purely virus cards, the "Lair of Darkness" cards (Darkest Diabolos, and the Ladies of Lament as well) are designed to work in-tandem with the virus cards as a dark-attribute, low-attack, tribue focused deck that gets advantage for using the viruses and makes using them super easy, even using the initial tribute of a virus as removal in some cases due to the lair's effect so yeah, i'd say that Viruses got a full deck themselves, albeit the Lair of Darkness stuff *thematically* is distant to viruses, their actual playstyle is designed for them

You made one mistake. It can be treated as thunder dragon in the deck. But it most definitely cannot be treated as blue eyes. If it is treated as blue eyes in the hand/field/graveyard, then that would work.
@@ked49 THERE, I reworked the effect so that it only treats itself as “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” while outside of your deck (and retuned the “Thunder Dragon” part to simply make it _always_ be treated as the OG T.D) while the prior mentioned requirements are being fulfilled.
If there was a deck like Gold sarc for Kaiba that makes a modern deck out of his classic cards, I think an interdimension archetype would fit the bill nicely, a high attack beatdown strategy centered around banishing his and the opponent's monsters as cost for the boss monsters sounds like a kaiba strategy. Interdimensional dragon, interdimensional virus, Interdimensional liberation, all cards that could fit him to a T. Making his classic cards "Eyes of blue cards" can be a thing too. Btw, There not being a genie deck in yugioh kinda feels like sacrilege.
@@TrueReverse74 there was actually a small La Jinn archetype in Arc-V, used by a character whose design references Aladdin. He had La Jinn alongside a variety of Lamp cards, and had at least one fusion monster: combining La Jinn with Red Lamp created Fire Jinn, who had burn effects. I could see a variety of lamps and a La Jinn retrain that lets you go into different fusion monsters or maybe other summoning types. I could see a White Lamp that is a tuner to make a synchro genie.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Material Archetype used by Kaiba in the Yugioh R Manga. Basically they’re a bunch of mechanical animals that function similar to the A-Z archetype. Their boss monster (Mosaic Manticore) was released as a standalone card, but I’d definitely be down if they made the rest of the archetype along with a retrain of Manticore.
R had a lot of potential for decks. Reiko's chess pawn deck would be cool and that was the first time I ever saw Machina deck too. Also need that Wicked God support

I like how there are cards for certain archetypes that allow you to jam in a god card into the deck even if it doesn't synergize well. You have Thunderspeed Summon to summon Slifer in a King's Knight, Queen's Knight, and Jack's Knight deck. Granted, you can instead use Arcana Triumph Joker if you don't want to use Slifer. And you have Union Activation to summon Obelisk in an A-to-Z deck. Weirdly enough, you're really forced to use Obelisk or any other monster with 3000 or more ATK that can be tribute summoned because there are no in-archetype targets for the GY effect of Union Activation. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a Ra counterpart to these cards. Marik's slime cards seem to have been made specifically to be played alongside the Ra support cards right from the get-go. I guess Marik didn't have an iconic trio of monsters that he consistently tributed to summon Ra, unlike Yugi and Kaiba.
tbh I want some recolors/ alternate art of dark magician support to have the red dark magician in it or an alternate archetype that show the story of the red dark magician (as an imitator or imposter)
I feel all the old dark magician adjacent traps like mirror force, spellbinding circle, magic hats, that one damage redirection one fit. As using them is more akin to illusions vs magic.

Ok I want to add onto that "Kaiser" theme you suggest at the end of the video. I'd love the series to be called the "Kaiser Core. Which can abbreviate to KC" A little reference to Kaiba's company, and it could turn all his monsters into a KC monster. Kinda like he copyrighted them. For example "Blue-Eyes Kaiser Core Dragon", "Kaiser Core Vampire Lord" etc.
La Jinn archetype which revolves around "Mystical Genie" monsters being made immune by continuous spell "Lamp" cards on the field. Like Golden Lamp makes Mystical Genies immune to spell and trap effects. Silver Lamp prevents battle destruction. Bronze Lamp allows Genies to attack directly by giving up half their ATK for the turn. So on and so forth.
In a sense, the Virus series does have support; the OCG-only structure deck Curse of Darkness (and to a greater extent, its "retrain", the Lair of Darkness structure deck) are informally themed around facilitating the use of Virus cards, with things like DARK monsters that can modulate their ATK stats to be viable tribute costs, cards to search and recur traps, and the titular Lair of Darkness field spell that makes all monsters DARK and lets you tribute your opponent's monsters for costs. Admittedly, though, none of it is support that references Kaiba.
I'd be down to see Kaiba's beast-warriors turned into their own arctype. Vorse Raider, Rude Kaiser, Hitotsu-me Giant, and Battle Ox are some of his more prevalent cards and fit together well thematically. Could probably throw in Sword Stalker since he fits the bill pretty well. Maybe they're a battle focused fusion deck since Battle-ox has that one fusion, but maybe that'd be too similar to gladiator beasts, idk. I also feel like Blade Knight could be added to the eyes of blue series similar to Neo Kaiser Seahorse. It has a very fitting aesthetic, maybe it's canonically Protector with upgraded armor.
I think La jinn and the lamp could be cool to spin off. Lot´s of stories/mythology to draw from. "hiding" the monsters in the spell/trap zone, jinns granting "wishes" for a cost, maybe wish tokens for effects? There is potential here.
And for thunder dragons, I have a thunder dragon/watt deck and have summoned Thunderstormech many times. The Watts and thunder dragons surprisingly work really well together

Technically there's "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" but it got turned from a fusion into a main deck monster when it was made IRL. Just like Manjoume's LADD actually.
Some fun facts about some of Kaiba's decks: Blue-Eyes: There's some argument to be made for Blue-Eyes to actually be a counterpart to Buster Blader, at least in the modern day; Reason being that both decks have support that spins them off outside of their associated character. Buster Blader has its own standalone story where it sets off and raises a baby dragon, while Synchro Blue-Eyes focuses on what I'd call the Religion with Eyes of Blue, where the Sages and their beacon, Maiden, communicate with what seem to be dragons that have a divine air to them. Unlike the Fusion/Kaiba themed Blue-Eyes where it simply focuses on how Blue-Eyes is as a force. A-to-Z: A to Z isn't just a standalone deck; it's become the entire face of the Union mechanic as a whole, with each new Union support designed to support A to Z more than any other adjacent deck. Thunder Dragon: The design space around TD as an archetype isn't actually related to the anime at all, but rather the TCG. Thunder Dragon was design with a heavy Chaos synergy in mind because back in the day, Thunder Dragon was the best card to discard to the GY to fuel monsters like BLS and Chaos Sorcerer. The discard effects make sense since that's how the OG TD works, but the banish and sent to GY effects, and even their attributes are based on how they were used in the old Chaos decks.
This is interesting for Kaiba, I would have guessed more for him, but it's surprising that it's so few. Joey's would be cool to see. Just going off memory I can think of 3, possibly 7, archetypes/decks that spawned from Joey's deck: Flame Swordsman, Red-Eyes, and Hermos, with possibities of Time Wizard/Baby Dragon, Gearfried, Gilford, and Landstar (though I believe most of the Landstar cards are Anime exclusive). Joey also uses a lot of chance/luck cards like Graceful Dice, Skull Dice, Roulette Spider, etc. So perhaps they could someday make that its own archetype sort of thing, maybe do that with the random Warriors and Beast-Warriors he has in his deck too. It would also be interesting if they could find a way to somehow get his Battle City Ante cards (Jinzo, Insect Queen, and Legendary Fisherman) all together in a deck/archetype, possibly with support for/with Warriors and Beast-Warriors, since he decided to actually use the Ante cards in his deck, at least for a little bit.
Thunder Dragon player here. The link monster, the two high-level main deck monsters (Dragonlord and Dragonduo) as well as the trap cards are pretty much never played. The link isn't that great compared to generic options, and the other cards don't mesh too well with the rest of the archetype on top of being quite bricky in a deck that can already have dead hands on occasion.
After remembering the digital world arc, I definitely think that a Judgeman archetype would be fun! We’d have a courtroom field spell with monsters representing lawyers, jurors, the defense and prosecutors and bailiffs.

You can think of the Crush Card Virus to have brought out a Lair of Darkness Virus deck, where they tribute your monsters for the Virus costs and use Lilith to add Virus cards to hand. However, if you have ever seen errataed Crush Card Virus used against Tearlament, you'll instantly understand how bad it is xD I've attempted to make a Timaeus deck before... and did summon Timaeus the Knight of Destiny on turn 1 using the Tearlament engine with Merrli legal, but it doesn't do anything beyond that. I think Vampire Lord isn't really a Kaiba card either. It's just a good card he used, just like Vampire Lord was used in "good stuff" decks in old Yu-Gi-Oh.
If we're talking retrains maybe we can get a retrained Blue-Eyes shining dragon like say Blue-Eyes Shining Ultima Dragon or Shining Nova Dragon. Design wise it would be the original Shining Dragon with anew position ATK 3000 DEF 2500 Effect wise pretty much since the cards came out before the movie did we can easily fix it. [Can't be normal summoned or Set can only be special summoned by tributing a Blue Eyes Ultimate Monster. Quick effect: This card can't be targeted by Spells Traps and Monster effects and its summoning can't be negated by card effects. This card gains 300 ATK for every dragon type monster in the graveyard. You can tribute this card and destroy every card on both players field. When this card goes to the grave via battle or card effect you can banish a blue eyes spell or trap from the grave to revive this dragon] This dragon would atleast be a great counter to hand traps and with an updated summoning cost you can use either Neo blue eyes ultimate regular OG Ultimate dragon Alternative Ultimate dragon and our newest Synchro ultimate dragon for its cost searching for it would be easier with the blue eyes search support. The effects mirror what it had in the movie and can make it stand up to the gods like the Movie novel for the pyramid of Light movie had stated and the subbed version of the film. We would finally get a better understanding of its final effect plus with a revival effect it can be revived.
9:28 the virus are so classic the last voice actor duel, using the virus after the pandemic I felt was cool for the nostalgia using Crush Card virus with Giant Germ, and Yugi’s defeating Kaiba with a new Exodia like that Exodia was the vaccine to kill and beat that Virus and the DUEL. Also the close thing to a virus deck would be the Lair of Darkness deck with the virus since Lilith play along as a searcher for normal trap cards
Kaiba's odd monsters could be turned into a Little Yugi-esque archetype, where they support each other, rather than Konami coming up with a dozen different family decks. Atem's approach to duelling was always versatility, so there were a lot of combo cards and fusions to take inspiration from, but with Kaiba, it was the opposite; his strategy was always "summon big monster, everything else is fodder". Rare were the times you saw the same monsters in his deck that wasn't Blue-Eyes.
Card idea: Alpha Activation Virus Card type: Trap Card Effect: Tribute a monster with 4000 or more ATK points, and if you do, create 5 0 Atk/0 Def Germ tokens, which cannot be used for the summoning of any extra deck monster or tributed except for the activation of a virus trap card. Then send this card to the graveyard and set five "Virus" trap cards with different names from your deck or hand to your side of the field. You may banish this card from your graveyard and change the ATK of four monsters you control to 500, 2000, 2500, and 3000 respectively, and the DEF of one monster to 2000. Also, any card sent from your opponent's hand, deck, or field to the GY because of a "Virus" trap is banished face down instead. You can only activate each effect of Alpha Activation once per turn.
I was about to type 'best Rollback target ever', but actually the fact that the Trap has to be sent to the GY to set the other Virus Traps means maybe not?
I will say, while this isn't technically a "Kaiba card", as it was only used by Yugi during his duel against the fake Kaiba, Mystical Elf does have a retrained counterpart, Mystical Elf - White Lightning. It's essentially a hand trap version of Mystical Elf that can support Blue-Eyes. And we can technically consider it a Kaiba card if you count the "Gift of the Mystical Elf" card that Kaiba used.
I'm so hyped for the XYZ retrains. I fell in love with the archetype while playing Legacy of the Duelist with the ABC cards, and I've been a big fan ever since.
Joey Decks- For sure red eyes, Gamble, And Flame swordsman, you could argue Jinzo, gearfried/gilford/ warriors( gets messy), Hermos,a bit of a stretch but maybe even landstar, and goblins. the upgraded retrained time wizard/bby dragon
If they made Kaiba himself and his own jet a monster card then there’s enough room for a dark clown, Genie, and maybe a “plague” or germ deck that’s supported by the virus cards. There’s also a “battle” arc that features beast-warriors with insane attack stats though the gladiator beasts already have that covered and I think the Danger! cards handle that well too. At the very least I think there should be more Critius and Hermos support cards just so they don’t feel too limited.
I will say this with Vampire Lord. It does work well with his Crush Card style where you wreck your oppoents deck then vampire lord when dealing damage to your oppoents Life points can declare Monster, Spell or Trap and your oppoent has to discard it from there deck if there is a target. Also back when I was playing semi competitivly one of my favourite Decks was the Red Eyes Zombie Structure Deck and adding Crush Cards *it was around the time when Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles was out on wii and the deck was out around the same time so yeah full Wesker mode lol....ah simple fun times*
Huge fan of Saggi the Dark Clown, I made a fan deck where the gimmick was it could triple it’s ATK every battle phase and make XYZ monsters that are unaffected if they have Saggi as material
There technically already is a Virus archetype, as the Virus trap cards are usually paired with the Dark monsters like Darkest Diabolos, Ahrima, Duke Shade, Diabolica, Tiakalel, and so on. The "Lady of Lament" monsters are also a big part of this archetype as well, as they tend to search the Virus trap cords; working directly with them and the field spell "Lair of Darkness". Since the Virus traps need to tribute Dark monsters, the effects of these other cards revolve around tributing Dark monsters and getting effects off that way. You could, theoretically, use the Virus cards in other Dark Trap-based decks like Labrynth, Eldlich, Dinomorphia, etc. But they tend to be paired with the Lair of Darkness cards and the Lady of Lament cards. I think this is because of the structure deck released many ears ago: Curse of Darkness. It had the original Diabolos, Lich Lord, and Prometheus who are also part of the Virus archetype, and it also had Crush Card Virus, Deck Destruction Virus, and Eradicator Epidemic Virus. So when Konami created these new Dark monsters revolving around tributing Dark monsters and using trap cards, I think the inspiration came from their old structure deck when they were all used together.
I'll give you the 1st three: Blue-Eyes, A-Z and ThunderDragon(which I did forget so thank you for that reminder) but I knew you'd say Virus & Obilesk but am 50/50 the Legendary Dragons as Seto was more iffy with his use unlike Joey & Atem who mixed them perfectly into their basic decks
There is kind of a Virus deck or more an Archetype that heavily Supports them: Lair of Darkness. It heavily incentives tributing Dark Monster, gives you Tokens to tribute, One of its Monsters; Lilith, Lady of Lament even searches for Normal Traps and can get small enough to be used for Crush Card Virus, or be big enough to be used for Deck Devastation Virus. Its usually uses Virus cards as part of its deck. It even has a big Dragon as a Boss Monster Diabolos Lord of the Lair.
I think part of Kaiba's reason for Vampire Lord was for the Virus theme, so if he made a deck based on that, it would probably be Clowns, Vampires and Viruses
Yugi’s new archetype was shiny sarcophagus that revolves around his iconic monsters that got some gold trim because they came from his box… What if Kiaba got a new enemy controller that operated the same way, where his new monsters where all the stuff he’s taken with enemy controller just given that blue eyes finish- The gimmick is that if you control the continuous spell power controller, you can tribute tribute your opponents monsters to special summon lv8 or higher monsters from your hand/gy or something like that… Or you can make a deck out of lajin the genie of the lamp but…would you really?
11:30 I would argue that, while the full fledged Vampire deck doesn’t feel like it fits Kaiba, Vampire Lord is definitely a Kaiba card. After all, Vampire Lord has a summoning animation in Duel Links that only Kaiba (DM) can activate. So, I think it would count towards his deck count.
You could make a virus deck( yes, it would probably be toxic) for the retrains it could use monsters like saggi, vorse raider( kaiba did use crush card on it), Ryu kishin powered( kaiba used crush card on it with shrinking his duel against joey), sword stalker( Pegasus killed it when copied crush card),spells would be shrink( since it was used in combination with crush card) and maybe a spell virus card (since in the duel with ishizu, kaiba played it as a spell) and a retrain of crush card
Saggi the Dark Clown would be such a dope archetype they could go for (probably just shorted it into dark clown). I imagine they'll be flip monsters so probably won't be that good but I'll enjoy an evil clown archetype anyways.
Here is why kiba should have a saggy Deck. In Yu-Gi-Oh GX kiba said Chaz could best his brother with a Deck with nothing but low attack monsters. Kiba should have a deck like that he used as a flex on someone

I would like to see a Virus/Germ archetype. You could probably squeeze Pandemic Dragon from the DSoD movie into it too, but I agree it'd definitely be a toxic play-style. I like the idea of Kaiba getting the equivalent of Shining Sarcophagus archetype too. Since he uses a lot of cards that could be associated with technology, it'd be cool if they were the modern day version of Shining Sarcophagus.
My guess as to why there's not as many decks spawn off for Kaiba like with Yugi is cause since his deck centers on getting Blue Eyes out, and the fact that Blue Eyes is basically Konami 's "Charizard" a cool dragon the kids love, they probably think they can just get away with making a ton of support for them and call it a day
A "Virus Archetype" would get banned and crippled immediately. But yea, other characters deserve the "Golden Sarcophagus" treatment. The problem with Kaiba is that he doesn't have much going for aside from Blue-Eyes, Obelisk and maybe Critias. For Joey, he has the Red-Eyes, the Flame Swordsman, Gilford, Jinzo, Gearfried, Hermos and the "-with-chain" cards. Maybe he needs a "Lord of the Red" support. That duel with Valon was a fan favorite.
like a Kaiser deck could be all about tributing for monsters that get effects based apon what monsters where tributing/the amount were tributed! and the said tribute fodder gets effects once being tributed, so even if your opponent using Lava golem or Nibiru, your monsters effects go off!

Yugi had so many cards to build decks off of....magnet warriors, dark magician/girl, Gaia knight, black luster soldier.....so many other decks you can make off of those too makes a tough build as a whole
Just keep adding to the Blue Eyes lore. It'll finally come to Blue Eyes High Priest Seto, Master of the Millennium Rod. Also his servants, Swordstalker with Blue Eyes, La Jinn of Blue Eyes, Violent Kaiser of the Blue Eyes and War Ox with the Blue Eyes. Spell card with Priest Seto and Kisara ritual that can summon any Blue Eyes ritual monster from the deck or gy, Priest Seto that can instantly bring out Obelisk by tributing BEWD for 1 turn and can use its blow up effect without tributes. Full on power of the Blue Eyes.
some cards while not having a deck's worth-(40card min), are part of an archetype. the best example of this exact situation is the gadgets that were in yugi's deck. sure now they fill a whole deck (or at least partially) but if they came out with ONLY red, yellow & green....do you see what i mean. and now those three a parts of Ancient Gear's bosses. even if its not a full deck now, if its an archetype ...no matter how small, it will be one later.
I'd enjoy seeing classics retrained as part of the "With Eyes Of Blue" archetype. Battle Ox, Swordstalker, Judge Man, Vorse Raider... Heck how about "Deity With Eyes Of Blue" and retrain Overall as Blue-Eyes support. At this point, it seems easier to go this route.
I can only speak for myself, but I would love to see his little brother Mokuba, inspire some cards. Perhaps the Kaiser cards can be used as the base. But here's the idea for the arctype. It would revolve around a lower leveled monster being easily searched out from the deck, it could then go to the opponents side of the field, lock it down in a small way (like no link monsters can be summoned if they have arrows that would point towards that monster). Then you can summon bigger monsters and charge your opponent directly (ignoring what's on the field). Kind of plays with the old idea that Mokuba always gets kidnapped, and Kaiba has to rescue him/deal with who took Mokuba directly. Also TGSAnime (if you read this), here's an idea for a topic: what if in the original anime, we had gotten link monsters first, how would the game have evolved differently? Perhaps fusion, and link were changed? Like Polly would be needed to bring out a link (instead of a fusion). Just a fun idea lol

Since Brick-eyes was so heavily associated with Kaiba, it is hard to imagine him olaying any other Deck. But I would like to see a "Kaiser" Deck where basically it is a retrain/reimagine Deck consist of all of Kaiba beatdown monsters that you list at the end of the video. Aesthetically, they can all wield different kind of sharp weapons and their playstyle revolve around the Battle Phase. Basically a more glorified War Rock or a more nerfed Tenpai.
I want to say that Baira is the same with virus as Camuella is with Vampires. And as well that Kaiba DOES have a summon animation for vampire lord in duel links, so to konami, vampire is a part of his deck

Basically, Kaiba's deck branch is a "tall" build/improvements while Yugi's deck branch is a "wide" build/improvements. Wait, do YGO players even know what these terms means? Eh, whatever.
The virus cards have lair of darkness as support. The fieldspell makes it possible to tribute opponents monsters for card effects and makes everything dark. Lilith lady of lament turbos out the virus cards themselves and darkest diabolos summons itself if a dark monster is tributed

I'd really like to see Swordstalker get upgraded so it has something akin to its Duelist Kingdom effect where it gains power from a destroyed ally monster.
Theres actually a character in vrains that used a virus deck alongside the anime exclusive Dark Mummy monsters so if anything I feel like Konami would make the dark mummy cards and have them support the virus cards
I really wish Red Eyes got the same amount of support as the other two. I get that it technically has a lot of cards in its archetype but most are lower tier and under powered for todays meta and it lacks a lot of the newer summoning types. Our one really good card was dark dragooner and we can't even use it because too many other decks were splashing it.
My favorite deck to play in Master Duel is a combo Blue Eyes/Dark Magician chaos deck, i named "Chaotic White Lightning" I've gotten more rage quitters than anything, but more wins than losses
Kaiba did use both Luster Dragon #2 and hyozanrya and in the anime we saw more additions like ruby dragon so maybe the dragon equivalent or crystal beast or gem knights
It would be cool if you did a vid on how many decks have the "Eyes" motif like Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, Galaxy Eyes or Odd Eyes. Kaiba doesn't have as many deck that have spun off into other archetypes, but he makes up for it in directly inspiring the creation of new archetypes or at least giving off influential vibes. Stuff like the Cyber Dragon or Galaxy Eyes are pretty on the nose off shoots of Blue Eyes in their own way.
We could say technically the Beast Warriors, or even Gladiator Beasts no? Isn’t Battle Ox one? He got a retrained Enraged Battled Ox Ps I wish they introduced rule that allows us to fuse retrained monsters “Rabid Horseman and Enraged Battle Ox” Curse of dragon and Swift Gaia”, Skull Archfiend of Lightning and Red Eyes”, etc

It is interesting that you mentioned Different Dimension Dragon, since Kaiba is also the first duelist to use Dimension Fusion as well as Soul Absorption. Also, in the Pyramid of Light movie, both his duels had him use strategies built around Return from the different Dimension. So yeah, please an actual D.D. deck. It would also help with getting out Jet Iron, which is currently quite difficult. Also I don't like the other D/D deck or the guy who played it.

Well Grass simply dumps the difference into your GY. MY approach with the above custom card is meant to actively reward you for _having and maintaining_ that difference.
Fun fact, in the Arc-V anime, there is a character who used a La Jinn archetype deck. He only appeared for a few episodes, but it was still nice to see that.

I think the main reason that kaiba has less support is because bewd is more popular than dark magician. And that yugi's deck was always a collection of cards, 3 knights, 3 magnets, 2 chimera, 2 card combo for gaia knight fusion. While kaiba is usually just 1 offs. It's easier to make a card when the concept for them working together is already there. But there are so many cards that kaiba used that would be amazing for an archetype, battle ox, vorse raider, kaiser glider, la jinn, saggi the dark clown.
Yugi also had one offs, but those were usually a boss monster, while kaiba had only 1 boss monster.
Don't forget Ryu - Kishin Powered. I can see both he and Saggy being Virus searcher cards if they were restrained.
But knowing Kaiba, he would probably have a New Virus card that would target the extra deck.
I think it's two reasons. Kaiba had way fewer duels than Yugi since he wasn't the protagonist, and as a result he had less opportunities to show off different cards that could have been made into different archetypes. Also, he's devoted to blue-eyes, and the relatively fewer duels he's in compared to Yugi all end up having to feature blue-eyes somehow. As a result writing duels where he's using different archetypal cards would conflict with his characterization.
Funny enough, Vampire Lord was given a summoning animation for when Kaiba plays it.

while not like purely virus cards, the "Lair of Darkness" cards (Darkest Diabolos, and the Ladies of Lament as well) are designed to work in-tandem with the virus cards as a dark-attribute, low-attack, tribue focused deck that gets advantage for using the viruses and makes using them super easy, even using the initial tribute of a virus as removal in some cases due to the lair's effect
so yeah, i'd say that Viruses got a full deck themselves, albeit the Lair of Darkness stuff *thematically* is distant to viruses, their actual playstyle is designed for them

Actually you can summon Magia purely with blue eyes. Just use Chaos Dragon or Chaos Max as the ritual required material

You made one mistake. It can be treated as thunder dragon in the deck. But it most definitely cannot be treated as blue eyes.

THERE, I reworked the effect so that it only treats itself as “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” while outside of your deck (and retuned the “Thunder Dragon” part to simply make it _always_ be treated as the OG T.D) while the prior mentioned requirements are being fulfilled.
If there was a deck like Gold sarc for Kaiba that makes a modern deck out of his classic cards, I think an interdimension archetype would fit the bill nicely, a high attack beatdown strategy centered around banishing his and the opponent's monsters as cost for the boss monsters sounds like a kaiba strategy. Interdimensional dragon, interdimensional virus, Interdimensional liberation, all cards that could fit him to a T. Making his classic cards "Eyes of blue cards" can be a thing too.
Btw, There not being a genie deck in yugioh kinda feels like sacrilege.
I was thinking more like a technology theme. Make his vanillas cyborg looking things. Make a light virus(that looks like a computer virus)
@@TrueReverse74 there was actually a small La Jinn archetype in Arc-V, used by a character whose design references Aladdin.
He had La Jinn alongside a variety of Lamp cards, and had at least one fusion monster: combining La Jinn with Red Lamp created Fire Jinn, who had burn effects.
I could see a variety of lamps and a La Jinn retrain that lets you go into different fusion monsters or maybe other summoning types. I could see a White Lamp that is a tuner to make a synchro genie.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Material Archetype used by Kaiba in the Yugioh R Manga. Basically they’re a bunch of mechanical animals that function similar to the A-Z archetype. Their boss monster (Mosaic Manticore) was released as a standalone card, but I’d definitely be down if they made the rest of the archetype along with a retrain of Manticore.

I like how there are cards for certain archetypes that allow you to jam in a god card into the deck even if it doesn't synergize well.
You have Thunderspeed Summon to summon Slifer in a King's Knight, Queen's Knight, and Jack's Knight deck. Granted, you can instead use Arcana Triumph Joker if you don't want to use Slifer.
And you have Union Activation to summon Obelisk in an A-to-Z deck. Weirdly enough, you're really forced to use Obelisk or any other monster with 3000 or more ATK that can be tribute summoned because there are no in-archetype targets for the GY effect of Union Activation.
Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a Ra counterpart to these cards. Marik's slime cards seem to have been made specifically to be played alongside the Ra support cards right from the get-go. I guess Marik didn't have an iconic trio of monsters that he consistently tributed to summon Ra, unlike Yugi and Kaiba.
tbh I want some recolors/ alternate art of dark magician support to have the red dark magician in it or an alternate archetype that show the story of the red dark magician (as an imitator or imposter)
The red magician being an imposter is an among us joke that writes itself. But the idea still goes hard and I’m here for it

Ok I want to add onto that "Kaiser" theme you suggest at the end of the video. I'd love the series to be called the "Kaiser Core. Which can abbreviate to KC" A little reference to Kaiba's company, and it could turn all his monsters into a KC monster. Kinda like he copyrighted them. For example "Blue-Eyes Kaiser Core Dragon", "Kaiser Core Vampire Lord" etc.
La Jinn archetype which revolves around "Mystical Genie" monsters being made immune by continuous spell "Lamp" cards on the field.
Like Golden Lamp makes Mystical Genies immune to spell and trap effects. Silver Lamp prevents battle destruction. Bronze Lamp allows Genies to attack directly by giving up half their ATK for the turn. So on and so forth.
Going into this I could only think of blue eyes, thunder dragon and ABC

He also has Obelisk, but that itself is part of the greater God Card archetype.

In a sense, the Virus series does have support; the OCG-only structure deck Curse of Darkness (and to a greater extent, its "retrain", the Lair of Darkness structure deck) are informally themed around facilitating the use of Virus cards, with things like DARK monsters that can modulate their ATK stats to be viable tribute costs, cards to search and recur traps, and the titular Lair of Darkness field spell that makes all monsters DARK and lets you tribute your opponent's monsters for costs. Admittedly, though, none of it is support that references Kaiba.
I'd be down to see Kaiba's beast-warriors turned into their own arctype. Vorse Raider, Rude Kaiser, Hitotsu-me Giant, and Battle Ox are some of his more prevalent cards and fit together well thematically. Could probably throw in Sword Stalker since he fits the bill pretty well. Maybe they're a battle focused fusion deck since Battle-ox has that one fusion, but maybe that'd be too similar to gladiator beasts, idk.
I also feel like Blade Knight could be added to the eyes of blue series similar to Neo Kaiser Seahorse. It has a very fitting aesthetic, maybe it's canonically Protector with upgraded armor.
I think La jinn and the lamp could be cool to spin off. Lot´s of stories/mythology to draw from. "hiding" the monsters in the spell/trap zone, jinns granting "wishes" for a cost, maybe wish tokens for effects? There is potential here.
There was also a minor character who used a La Jinn deck in Arc-V.
And for thunder dragons, I have a thunder dragon/watt deck and have summoned Thunderstormech many times. The Watts and thunder dragons surprisingly work really well together

Technically there's "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" but it got turned from a fusion into a main deck monster when it was made IRL. Just like Manjoume's LADD actually.
Some fun facts about some of Kaiba's decks:
Blue-Eyes: There's some argument to be made for Blue-Eyes to actually be a counterpart to Buster Blader, at least in the modern day; Reason being that both decks have support that spins them off outside of their associated character. Buster Blader has its own standalone story where it sets off and raises a baby dragon, while Synchro Blue-Eyes focuses on what I'd call the Religion with Eyes of Blue, where the Sages and their beacon, Maiden, communicate with what seem to be dragons that have a divine air to them. Unlike the Fusion/Kaiba themed Blue-Eyes where it simply focuses on how Blue-Eyes is as a force.
A-to-Z: A to Z isn't just a standalone deck; it's become the entire face of the Union mechanic as a whole, with each new Union support designed to support A to Z more than any other adjacent deck.
Thunder Dragon: The design space around TD as an archetype isn't actually related to the anime at all, but rather the TCG. Thunder Dragon was design with a heavy Chaos synergy in mind because back in the day, Thunder Dragon was the best card to discard to the GY to fuel monsters like BLS and Chaos Sorcerer.
The discard effects make sense since that's how the OG TD works, but the banish and sent to GY effects, and even their attributes are based on how they were used in the old Chaos decks.
This is interesting for Kaiba, I would have guessed more for him, but it's surprising that it's so few.
Joey's would be cool to see. Just going off memory I can think of 3, possibly 7, archetypes/decks that spawned from Joey's deck: Flame Swordsman, Red-Eyes, and Hermos, with possibities of Time Wizard/Baby Dragon, Gearfried, Gilford, and Landstar (though I believe most of the Landstar cards are Anime exclusive).
Joey also uses a lot of chance/luck cards like Graceful Dice, Skull Dice, Roulette Spider, etc. So perhaps they could someday make that its own archetype sort of thing, maybe do that with the random Warriors and Beast-Warriors he has in his deck too. It would also be interesting if they could find a way to somehow get his Battle City Ante cards (Jinzo, Insect Queen, and Legendary Fisherman) all together in a deck/archetype, possibly with support for/with Warriors and Beast-Warriors, since he decided to actually use the Ante cards in his deck, at least for a little bit.
Thunder Dragon player here. The link monster, the two high-level main deck monsters (Dragonlord and Dragonduo) as well as the trap cards are pretty much never played.
The link isn't that great compared to generic options, and the other cards don't mesh too well with the rest of the archetype on top of being quite bricky in a deck that can already have dead hands on occasion.
After remembering the digital world arc, I definitely think that a Judgeman archetype would be fun! We’d have a courtroom field spell with monsters representing lawyers, jurors, the defense and prosecutors and bailiffs.

You can think of the Crush Card Virus to have brought out a Lair of Darkness Virus deck, where they tribute your monsters for the Virus costs and use Lilith to add Virus cards to hand. However, if you have ever seen errataed Crush Card Virus used against Tearlament, you'll instantly understand how bad it is xD
I've attempted to make a Timaeus deck before... and did summon Timaeus the Knight of Destiny on turn 1 using the Tearlament engine with Merrli legal, but it doesn't do anything beyond that.
I think Vampire Lord isn't really a Kaiba card either. It's just a good card he used, just like Vampire Lord was used in "good stuff" decks in old Yu-Gi-Oh.
If we're talking retrains maybe we can get a retrained Blue-Eyes shining dragon like say Blue-Eyes Shining Ultima Dragon or Shining Nova Dragon.
Design wise it would be the original Shining Dragon with anew position

[Can't be normal summoned or Set can only be special summoned by tributing a Blue Eyes Ultimate Monster. Quick effect: This card can't be targeted by Spells Traps and Monster effects and its summoning can't be negated by card effects. This card gains 300 ATK for every dragon type monster in the graveyard. You can tribute this card and destroy every card on both players field. When this card goes to the grave via battle or card effect you can banish a blue eyes spell or trap from the grave to revive this dragon]
This dragon would atleast be a great counter to hand traps and with an updated summoning cost you can use either Neo blue eyes ultimate regular OG Ultimate dragon Alternative Ultimate dragon and our newest Synchro ultimate dragon for its cost searching for it would be easier with the blue eyes search support. The effects mirror what it had in the movie and can make it stand up to the gods like the Movie novel for the pyramid of Light movie had stated and the subbed version of the film. We would finally get a better understanding of its final effect plus with a revival effect it can be revived.
9:28 the virus are so classic the last voice actor duel, using the virus after the pandemic I felt was cool for the nostalgia using Crush Card virus with Giant Germ, and Yugi’s defeating Kaiba with a new Exodia like that Exodia was the vaccine to kill and beat that Virus and the DUEL. Also the close thing to a virus deck would be the Lair of Darkness deck with the virus since Lilith play along as a searcher for normal trap cards
Kaiba's odd monsters could be turned into a Little Yugi-esque archetype, where they support each other, rather than Konami coming up with a dozen different family decks. Atem's approach to duelling was always versatility, so there were a lot of combo cards and fusions to take inspiration from, but with Kaiba, it was the opposite; his strategy was always "summon big monster, everything else is fodder". Rare were the times you saw the same monsters in his deck that wasn't Blue-Eyes.
I think Amorphage combined with the virus cards is the closest we will get to a full virus deck
Card idea: Alpha Activation Virus
Card type: Trap
Card Effect: Tribute a monster with 4000 or more ATK points, and if you do, create 5 0 Atk/0 Def Germ tokens, which cannot be used for the summoning of any extra deck monster or tributed except for the activation of a virus trap card. Then send this card to the graveyard and set five "Virus" trap cards with different names from your deck or hand to your side of the field. You may banish this card from your graveyard and change the ATK of four monsters you control to 500, 2000, 2500, and 3000 respectively, and the DEF of one monster to 2000. Also, any card sent from your opponent's hand, deck, or field to the GY because of a "Virus" trap is banished face down instead. You can only activate each effect of Alpha Activation once per turn.
Make the tokens tributable as to work with virus cannon.
I was about to type 'best Rollback target ever', but actually the fact that the Trap has to be sent to the GY to set the other Virus Traps means maybe not?
I will say, while this isn't technically a "Kaiba card", as it was only used by Yugi during his duel against the fake Kaiba, Mystical Elf does have a retrained counterpart, Mystical Elf - White Lightning. It's essentially a hand trap version of Mystical Elf that can support Blue-Eyes. And we can technically consider it a Kaiba card if you count the "Gift of the Mystical Elf" card that Kaiba used.
I'm so hyped for the XYZ retrains. I fell in love with the archetype while playing Legacy of the Duelist with the ABC cards, and I've been a big fan ever since.
Joey Decks- For sure red eyes, Gamble, And Flame swordsman, you could argue Jinzo, gearfried/gilford/ warriors( gets messy), Hermos,a bit of a stretch but maybe even landstar, and goblins. the upgraded retrained time wizard/bby dragon
If they made Kaiba himself and his own jet a monster card then there’s enough room for a dark clown, Genie, and maybe a “plague” or germ deck that’s supported by the virus cards. There’s also a “battle” arc that features beast-warriors with insane attack stats though the gladiator beasts already have that covered and I think the Danger! cards handle that well too. At the very least I think there should be more Critius and Hermos support cards just so they don’t feel too limited.
I will say this with Vampire Lord. It does work well with his Crush Card style where you wreck your oppoents deck then vampire lord when dealing damage to your oppoents Life points can declare Monster, Spell or Trap and your oppoent has to discard it from there deck if there is a target. Also back when I was playing semi competitivly one of my favourite Decks was the Red Eyes Zombie Structure Deck and adding Crush Cards *it was around the time when Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles was out on wii and the deck was out around the same time so yeah full Wesker mode lol....ah simple fun times*
Huge fan of Saggi the Dark Clown, I made a fan deck where the gimmick was it could triple it’s ATK every battle phase and make XYZ monsters that are unaffected if they have Saggi as material
There technically already is a Virus archetype, as the Virus trap cards are usually paired with the Dark monsters like Darkest Diabolos, Ahrima, Duke Shade, Diabolica, Tiakalel, and so on. The "Lady of Lament" monsters are also a big part of this archetype as well, as they tend to search the Virus trap cords; working directly with them and the field spell "Lair of Darkness". Since the Virus traps need to tribute Dark monsters, the effects of these other cards revolve around tributing Dark monsters and getting effects off that way.
You could, theoretically, use the Virus cards in other Dark Trap-based decks like Labrynth, Eldlich, Dinomorphia, etc. But they tend to be paired with the Lair of Darkness cards and the Lady of Lament cards. I think this is because of the structure deck released many ears ago: Curse of Darkness. It had the original Diabolos, Lich Lord, and Prometheus who are also part of the Virus archetype, and it also had Crush Card Virus, Deck Destruction Virus, and Eradicator Epidemic Virus. So when Konami created these new Dark monsters revolving around tributing Dark monsters and using trap cards, I think the inspiration came from their old structure deck when they were all used together.
The virus cards go well with the field spell Lair of Darkness, as you can sacrifice the opponents monsters to activate the virus cards
when it comes to the thunder dragons, I'd like to add that in a lot of games and such, Mokuba uses the new thunder dragon archetype cards
I'll give you the 1st three: Blue-Eyes, A-Z and ThunderDragon(which I did forget so thank you for that reminder) but I knew you'd say Virus & Obilesk but am 50/50 the Legendary Dragons as Seto was more iffy with his use unlike Joey & Atem who mixed them perfectly into their basic decks
There is kind of a Virus deck or more an Archetype that heavily Supports them: Lair of Darkness. It heavily incentives tributing Dark Monster, gives you Tokens to tribute, One of its Monsters; Lilith, Lady of Lament even searches for Normal Traps and can get small enough to be used for Crush Card Virus, or be big enough to be used for Deck Devastation Virus. Its usually uses Virus cards as part of its deck. It even has a big Dragon as a Boss Monster Diabolos Lord of the Lair.
I think part of Kaiba's reason for Vampire Lord was for the Virus theme, so if he made a deck based on that, it would probably be Clowns, Vampires and Viruses

What if Kiaba got a new enemy controller that operated the same way, where his new monsters where all the stuff he’s taken with enemy controller just given that blue eyes finish-
The gimmick is that if you control the continuous spell power controller, you can tribute tribute your opponents monsters to special summon lv8 or higher monsters from your hand/gy or something like that…
Or you can make a deck out of lajin the genie of the lamp but…would you really?

I would argue that, while the full fledged Vampire deck doesn’t feel like it fits Kaiba, Vampire Lord is definitely a Kaiba card. After all, Vampire Lord has a summoning animation in Duel Links that only Kaiba (DM) can activate. So, I think it would count towards his deck count.
You could make a virus deck( yes, it would probably be toxic) for the retrains it could use monsters like saggi, vorse raider( kaiba did use crush card on it), Ryu kishin powered( kaiba used crush card on it with shrinking his duel against joey), sword stalker( Pegasus killed it when copied crush card),spells would be shrink( since it was used in combination with crush card) and maybe a spell virus card (since in the duel with ishizu, kaiba played it as a spell) and a retrain of crush card
Saggi the Dark Clown would be such a dope archetype they could go for (probably just shorted it into dark clown). I imagine they'll be flip monsters so probably won't be that good but I'll enjoy an evil clown archetype anyways.
Here is why kiba should have a saggy Deck. In Yu-Gi-Oh GX kiba said Chaz could best his brother with a Deck with nothing but low attack monsters. Kiba should have a deck like that he used as a flex on someone

I would like to see a Virus/Germ archetype. You could probably squeeze Pandemic Dragon from the DSoD movie into it too, but I agree it'd definitely be a toxic play-style.
I like the idea of Kaiba getting the equivalent of Shining Sarcophagus archetype too. Since he uses a lot of cards that could be associated with technology, it'd be cool if they were the modern day version of Shining Sarcophagus.
My guess as to why there's not as many decks spawn off for Kaiba like with Yugi is cause since his deck centers on getting Blue Eyes out, and the fact that Blue Eyes is basically Konami 's "Charizard" a cool dragon the kids love, they probably think they can just get away with making a ton of support for them and call it a day
A "Virus Archetype" would get banned and crippled immediately. But yea, other characters deserve the "Golden Sarcophagus" treatment. The problem with Kaiba is that he doesn't have much going for aside from Blue-Eyes, Obelisk and maybe Critias.
For Joey, he has the Red-Eyes, the Flame Swordsman, Gilford, Jinzo, Gearfried, Hermos and the "-with-chain" cards.
Maybe he needs a "Lord of the Red" support. That duel with Valon was a fan favorite.
like a Kaiser deck could be all about tributing for monsters that get effects based apon what monsters where tributing/the amount were tributed! and the said tribute fodder gets effects once being tributed, so even if your opponent using Lava golem or Nibiru, your monsters effects go off!
black eyes, Jinzo, Claw of Hermes, Gearfried, Gilford, Flame Swordsmen, Thousand Dragon. . . Joey has a few familiar favored cards. and i KNOW for a fact there is a Black-Eyes deck out there
Yugi had so many cards to build decks off of....magnet warriors, dark magician/girl, Gaia knight, black luster soldier.....so many other decks you can make off of those too makes a tough build as a whole
Just keep adding to the Blue Eyes lore. It'll finally come to Blue Eyes High Priest Seto, Master of the Millennium Rod. Also his servants, Swordstalker with Blue Eyes, La Jinn of Blue Eyes, Violent Kaiser of the Blue Eyes and War Ox with the Blue Eyes. Spell card with Priest Seto and Kisara ritual that can summon any Blue Eyes ritual monster from the deck or gy, Priest Seto that can instantly bring out Obelisk by tributing BEWD for 1 turn and can use its blow up effect without tributes. Full on power of the Blue Eyes.

the best example of this exact situation is the gadgets that were in yugi's deck.
sure now they fill a whole deck (or at least partially) but if they came out with ONLY red, yellow & green....do you see what i mean.

I'd enjoy seeing classics retrained as part of the "With Eyes Of Blue" archetype. Battle Ox, Swordstalker, Judge Man, Vorse Raider... Heck how about "Deity With Eyes Of Blue" and retrain Overall as Blue-Eyes support. At this point, it seems easier to go this route.

I can only speak for myself, but I would love to see his little brother Mokuba, inspire some cards. Perhaps the Kaiser cards can be used as the base. But here's the idea for the arctype. It would revolve around a lower leveled monster being easily searched out from the deck, it could then go to the opponents side of the field, lock it down in a small way (like no link monsters can be summoned if they have arrows that would point towards that monster). Then you can summon bigger monsters and charge your opponent directly (ignoring what's on the field). Kind of plays with the old idea that Mokuba always gets kidnapped, and Kaiba has to rescue him/deal with who took Mokuba directly. Also TGSAnime (if you read this), here's an idea for a topic: what if in the original anime, we had gotten link monsters first, how would the game have evolved differently? Perhaps fusion, and link were changed? Like Polly would be needed to bring out a link (instead of a fusion). Just a fun idea lol
Hermos and Critias need a extra monster form like Timaeus got, something that can slot into an archetype or deck and help manifest fusions itself.
I really love your videos, you have a great voice and your videos are much less pessimistic and depressing compared to lots of the other Yugitubers' videos, you can just relax and enjoy them!
Since Brick-eyes was so heavily associated with Kaiba, it is hard to imagine him olaying any other Deck. But I would like to see a "Kaiser" Deck where basically it is a retrain/reimagine Deck consist of all of Kaiba beatdown monsters that you list at the end of the video. Aesthetically, they can all wield different kind of sharp weapons and their playstyle revolve around the Battle Phase. Basically a more glorified War Rock or a more nerfed Tenpai.
And the boss of the deck is a retrained BEUD called Blue-Eyes Kaiser Dragon.
Chazz princeton structure deck, that combines the power of Armed Dragon, XYZ and Ojama would be a cool place to take his deck

I would love to see a kaibaman stage play field spell card as a reference to the stage play in Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction for the gameboy advance.
Basically, Kaiba's deck branch is a "tall" build/improvements while Yugi's deck branch is a "wide" build/improvements.

The virus cards have lair of darkness as support. The fieldspell makes it possible to tribute opponents monsters for card effects and makes everything dark. Lilith lady of lament turbos out the virus cards themselves and darkest diabolos summons itself if a dark monster is tributed

It's so weird that twin headed dragon wasn't retrained for Thunder Dragon but instead it was retrained for Memento of all things
I'd really like to see Swordstalker get upgraded so it has something akin to its Duelist Kingdom effect where it gains power from a destroyed ally monster.
Theres actually a character in vrains that used a virus deck alongside the anime exclusive Dark Mummy monsters so if anything I feel like Konami would make the dark mummy cards and have them support the virus cards
I really wish Red Eyes got the same amount of support as the other two. I get that it technically has a lot of cards in its archetype but most are lower tier and under powered for todays meta and it lacks a lot of the newer summoning types. Our one really good card was dark dragooner and we can't even use it because too many other decks were splashing it.
The D. Probably got the most support with past blue eyes and xyz with its 4 monsters and all the spell cards
My favorite deck to play in Master Duel is a combo Blue Eyes/Dark Magician chaos deck, i named "Chaotic White Lightning" I've gotten more rage quitters than anything, but more wins than losses

Kaiba did use both Luster Dragon #2 and hyozanrya and in the anime we saw more additions like ruby dragon so maybe the dragon equivalent or crystal beast or gem knights

It would be cool if you did a vid on how many decks have the "Eyes" motif like Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, Galaxy Eyes or Odd Eyes. Kaiba doesn't have as many deck that have spun off into other archetypes, but he makes up for it in directly inspiring the creation of new archetypes or at least giving off influential vibes. Stuff like the Cyber Dragon or Galaxy Eyes are pretty on the nose off shoots of Blue Eyes in their own way.
Even attack names "horobi no burst stream" crawled so "hametsu no photon stream" could run.
