    I've always loved hearing about Roman firefighters and how they would just let your house burn to the ground if you didn't pay them twice the price of your mortgage

      Some nations see phone numbers as numbers, some as collection of digits. English speaking world belongs to the latter group, but Romans would probably (yes, it it just my wild guess, but based on how Roman numbering notation works) see them as a former group - i.e. they'd see "911" as a number.
      Thus not "nine-one-one" but "nine hundred eleven". In which case corresponding roman numeral would read "CMXI", not "IXII" - as the latter wouldn't make much sense to them... methinks.
      Just a side nit picking, though... ;-)

    • @SethDavisPiano
      @SethDavisPiano 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, it would be "Voce", not "Voco". "Voce" is the stem of "Vocere" meaning "to call". Unless you plan to tell someone "to call", "Voce" would just be "call".

    they are villains for manufacturing crises and heroes for solving the problems they caused. they get to be the main character 24/7 as a result of the ever changing genres of theatre from action heroes to slasher horror villains and thus enjoy plot armor forever. and its a fun job for the pyromaniac firebats from starcraft to boot.

Full of like Alien conspiracy building the pyramids, and then they have show about Yukon Ice truck drivers, which is more of dramatic reality show imo, but that might be Discovery Channel, still isn’t great though.
      Whenever you see comments similar to the first part of my comment, it just simply means that one man or woman content creators do better job with their documentary style or smaller history videos then corporation entities.
