    I'm a petite asian woman (5' 3", 115lbs). I have been shooting with a friend who runs a Glock 19. I can handle it alright, but it's like a brick on me and wouldn't work for a ccw. After many videos and reading through comments sections from others, I must say, your's very easily helped me make the decision. Thank you for the straightforward and very informative video!

    I just got the orginal 365 and wow for a small gun its doesn't have much kick at all. Really amazing little gun only shot about 30 rounds through it because of ammo shortage but man I enjoyed it. Can't wait to get more ammo and shoot it more.

    The porting on a small carry pistol is a deal breaker for some of us because of the gases and flash at close quarters. The original, but with a 12-rd magazine for a reload, still looks like the winner; wish Sig would include a 12-rounder in the box.

    Seemed to me the difference in the trigger pull was related to the location of the gauge on the trigger more than any real difference in the internals.
    On the SAS, the curved trigger kept the gauge closer to the fulcrum, while with the flat faced trigger it wanted to slide down to the very tip. And actually did on the first go round - giving the lightest result of all three tries. Which makes total sense - longer lever arms really do provide mechanical advantage. Which might matter if you practice to keep your trigger finger at the very end of the trigger, but then the slightly lighter pull also comes at the disadvantage of the longest trigger throw. IMO they were really a wash and it comes down to personal preference over which trigger shape you like (personally I do like that of the XL.)

    I've just started looking at Handguns for home defense, and later when I'm comfortable with it, concealed carry. I've watched several P 365 xl reviews and I noticed a couple other differences that you didn't mention and thought I'd pass them on for your viewers. I was told the mag receiver is slightly flared for easier mag insertion, and the slide has a longer sloped bevel at the front for less snag also. The xl also fits the 365 sig open ended holster, but will obviously stick out the open end.

    What a GREAT comparison review! This was so helpful. I am a long-time handgun enthusiast, but I never got my concealed carry license. In the process of applying for it only now... As a woman, I'm concerned about how well I will be able to conceal things. Lots of my wardrobe is light colored and sheer fabrics, so I am considering purchasing a sand or coyote colored firearm (and holsters/bands, etc.), because that may help it to blend into my skin tone underneath my clothing. Any thoughts about that? Also, I am on the fence about whether or not I will want to carry something without a safety. I know, I know...train and use a good holster protecting the trigger guard; essential in this configuration. But as someone who has only practiced with safeties at the range, I'm just feeling hesitant. But I am willing to train with whatever I do choose to carry (I'm also considering the Walther PPS [another one with no safety] and the Sig 320 compact). Any suggestions or opinions on any of the above??? Thanks!

      From experience both the p365 sas and p320 compact would be good choices, the compact has slightly less recoil but is a fair bit bigger, and the p365 sas isn't a snappy gun it's pleasant to shoot... that said as the p365 sas is my gun I'm probably a little biased.

      I have the 365, 365XL, and the SAS slide and I mix and match depending on what I’m wearing. I also have the 320X Compact which is a great pistol but much harder to conceal than any of the 365’s. Summer I carry one of my 365’s. As soon as it cools off it’s either the 320 or I love my P229 Legion. It’s the Rolls Royce of hand guns if you ask me.. Go out and shoot them all and see what you think?

      @@davidwilson5581 , not sure why I only gave your comment a LIKE but never replied to you. Since I posted my original comment, I bought my CCW, and it ended up NOT being the Sig P365 (hard to believe, considering that I had invested LITERALLY hundreds of hours of research and auditioning various guns). But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't snag a P365, for the life of me, thanks to 2020 madness! On some websites, I would actually find one, and by the time I hit BUY NOW, it would be sold right out from under me! So, I decided to go with a runner-up that I was ACTUALLY able to get my hands on: the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 2.0. I figured it was better to have SOMETHING, rather than nothing. I like it, though, I did need to file down some sharp edges on the frame around the thumb safety and the slide lock. It is also EXTREMELY hard to rack the slide (now I know why they made an EZ model). But I have not been able to carry it on my body, due to my wardrobe. So, I keep it in a CCW crossbody purse. That is still an issue for me.

      Hi, No Pro. I just posted a comment above, regarding my desire to get a sand or coyote colored carry gun. I tend to wear very light colored, sheer fabrics (in FL). Would you mind adding your thoughts to that thread above? I just posted it. Also, can I paint any gun in any color? Is that a custom request that I give the manufacturer, or can I do that after market? Thank you!

      @@nopro5433 , thank you so much for that info! Great suggestions! I will definitely check out your channel and the others you recommend. Regarding doing a search for women's concealed carry options, believe me, I've been all over it, and I subscribe to most of the female CCW channels. I research everything I get into, and money is definitely a consideration for me, so I really want to get it right. OK, see you 'round!

    In the video you said the sas doesn't take the normal 10 round mags from the original 365. It looks like it does so I just wanted to make sure

    I really like my regular 365. I never thought I would carry it. I think the SAS is a gimmick, but that's just my opinion. I'm really curious about the xl.

      Keith Richards Liver you actually pick up the sights faster on the sas. I thought it was a gimmick too until I put a couple mags through one Saturday

      @@hurt1704 How do you find the SAS accuracy to be?

    • @hurt1704
      @hurt1704 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      imnew2nm i had zero problems holding a fist size group at 7 yd on paper. It's a 15 yd and in gun. As long as you don't expect anymore than that out of it, it's a good option for a conceal carry gun imo

    • @jambajoby32
      @jambajoby32 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      imnew2nm it really forces you to have correct technique
      After dry firing I realize I do move my pistol when firing & that is exaggerated on the target.
      Also finger placement on trigger needs to be reviewed and re aligned. I used the crook in my first knuckle to shoot but I adjusted to use the finger pad and that helped tremendously with accuracy!
      I’m coming from a Bersa Thunder .380
      When dialed in, it’s easy to get on target & when not warmed up(dialed in) , been accurate still but no real sense of groupings but still on target

    Chris: I purchased a 365 XL an I'm still doing research because the supply house is on back order. I've seen videos of the XL with problems and other videos with claims of thousands of rounds and no hick ups/malfunctions. I have a Smith M&P 9c and a Shield 380 EZ. If you are familiar with those two, how does the recoil on the XL compare to those two? Thank you.

    How does 5.8 in length equal over an inch difference from 6.5 inches? Isn't that more like 0.7 inches and well less than an inch?

    I'm looking to get a P365 as my first pistol. I'm going to sign up for concealed carry classes as well. I'm wondering if getting the XL is worth it over the original for the extra barrel length and finger space. I'm also a 5'10" male and about 150lbs. I guess I'm wondering if it'll be too bulky or do the benefits of the bigger gun outweigh the compact size of the original. Would love some input!
