Thsnks man!! The question is, should I just get a new piston and sleeve for this truck, then we can truly compare it to the stock speed of the original model. What do you think?
Hay bro I know you say it’s slow but I’m surprised how much that pro15 actually shifted that truck especially with no compression? Thanks for the video man and keeping nitro alive baby👍👍👍
T-Maxx are great, I purchased one, my friend helped my break in the motor, and tune the carburetor. I been having a blast ! I raced my T-Maxx against his Nitro Revo. AWSOME!
Thanks man! im trying one at a time ,it aint easy, but it's totally worth it for the long term success of the small segment of the nitro hobby at this point. There are more and more electrics and no new nitros getting released, let's hope somehow this channel and the viewers like you can help change that.
Two Speed Baby! Love seeing the old girl run again. I have all the robinson racing hardened steel gears for the Tmaxx but new trans not the reverse one.
whats up my dude! its always a good time when you're out there burning nitro and yelling 2-speed baby, even with a dead engine, lol..thanks for watching bro.
I use to race my TMax in the monster truck class 23 years ago before people went to building truggies those were the day the inside tire rising up going around the turn's still have two in the attic greatest truck of all time
Dude nice work man those little pro .15 are so hard to kill. Quite possibly the quintessential nitro monster truck and the one that introduced me to hobby grade rc and more importantly nitro!
that's the old skool skinny maxx too. the onboard footage was music to my ears, takes me back to the times i used to go up and down the street hittin that 2 speed baby. it was crazy how many people had these back in the day. every tom dick and harry had one, even people that weren't into R/C had them. keep making nitro great again.
Hey bro! I got an equally deas hpi nitro rush too and more than likely it will run worse than this pro15. The 15fe was ABN and single needle carb, so get ready it willl fire up and run like a mintute prob. Thx bro!!
I just got done a newer tmaxx 3.3, I cheated alittle and did get some replacement parts, but did clean alot also. Will be posting on the Facebook page soon thebfinal results 👌
Thats dope. I used to have an hpi rs4 pro 2. It was fast af til i drove it on ice and burned out the speed control then i traded it for some video games 🤷🤷🤷
ahaha, thanks my dude! You know, just trying to speak the truth as it happens, and let me tell you, that mustang was full of POT!! who knows bout the tranny issues, but im sure it's full of those also .
@hybrid32494 that's even funnier than it smelling like pot, like maybe Cheech and Chong are back on the road who knows? But with all the strange LGBTQI freaks around these days it could be full of trannies too🤣🤣🤣
Try the apple cider vinegar for that spur gear. It brought a lot of my Hobao Nitro Hyper SS looks new. I can buy new parts here, and I did for some parts like CV and fuel tank, but for screws I cleaned them, unless they were damaged.
Maybe use a dumborc remote control as that has more range and cheaper too… Better than any remote controller brand as radiolink has been associated making dumborc.
I just looked up JX servos, they are just generic amazon style 20KG servos. Yes, they are all good, but not any better or worse than any other 20KG rated style servo, you know. Thing is on old trucks you really don't need crazy torque servos, they will rip the linkages apart, you need something that is good enough for the job, not overkill.
Wanna laugh? I love testing EVERYTHING, so I installed a new motor in a Tmax like yours and ONLY STARTED IT AFTER IT WAS AT 240° using a hairdryer. This wont let your motor sacrifice itself each time it warms up due to the ABC design & pinch fit piston. I completely burned out a rear diff, turned the bearings to dust and the motor is still like new after DOZENS of GALLONS! Compression up the butt STILL!! Yes you heard me right but you need to also keep running it in a sweet spot in ambient outdoor temps too. No running when its 60° when your testing and set the test up for only a 10° variant! 1st thing you don't do, is use their shit TRAXXAS fuel it has way to little oil! I tried it in a pinch and took out a motor in 1 effing gallon. My best motor longevity so far is 50 + GALLONS before the motor was to tired to run reliably. This is also indicative of a perfect tune and never exceeding 240° ever. I used Blue Thunder Sport Formula and it was the best nitro I ever used in any of the 25 trucks over 20 plus years. Treat your motors like gold and they can last a damn long time if you keep things clean to help keep temps down. It's all about temp and tune and fuel.
Its so funny everytime in the past when my Nitros would shift in second gear i would always get happy and more or less have a out burst of 2nd gear baby lol way funny
hey man! Flannel gang for sure!! So this is an even older model, it's neither the 2.5 or the 3.3. Before those came out there was a PRO15 model with a .15 side exhaust engine, like the one in this truck. It was also significantly narrower and slower as you could see, lol. Still can't kill it tho.
I had a t maxx a lot of plastic parts on it it flooded all the time the electric start was crap it’s better to get pull start the t maxx I had was absolute junk the one before the model I had was better but I didn’t like all the plastic parts on the one I had the old one had steel drive shafts the one I had was plastic electric start was an ok idea but stick with pull start because it’s proven you don’t have to charge a battery just to start it the whole reason people buy nitro rc cars and trucks is so you don’t have to charge batteries
@@RoryHollarTURTLERCRACING Unfortuantley it's about 19 bucks total roundtrip. That means for me to leave the area I live in would cost me close to 20 bucks in tolls alone, not including gas (each time). Thats NYC for you!
what is your problem? Don't be calling people bad names over here, im just out here trying to run rich & loud and have a good time, too bad you cannot appreciate some American humor you TOSSA.

Can't help smiling when a vintage T-MAXX hits that 2 speed baby !
No nitro left behind gang !

Og tmaxx lives😂👍
My first rc ever was a pro.15 tmaxx, still got it and has a stinger pipe watching this makes me want to blow the dust off of it and run it
love the energy bro!💪
that's the old skool skinny maxx too. the onboard footage was music to my ears, takes me back to the times i used to go up and down the street hittin that 2 speed baby.

Still got mine. If remember right it was just finne 10 years ago when I put it in the box...2.5 then 3.3 Revo and Maxx took over.
I just recently got an hpi nitro rush with about as much compression as this does! I’m hoping it runs half as long as this does… lmao great video dude
Hey bro! I got an equally deas hpi nitro rush too and more than likely it will run worse than this pro15. The 15fe was ABN and single needle carb, so get ready it willl fire up and run like a mintute prob. Thx bro!!
@ Which hpi rotary carb was an upgrade for the pro15?
Love my t-max pro15 . I just picked up T-T rb4 S2 with a hpi nitro star s-25 big block & it has a two speed diff also it rapid lol 💯👌🤙🇬🇧

Sickening! Great Restoration you Can’t k💥 it! 🔥🔥🔥💯💯
Thanks my dude!! I think I will find a piston and sleeve for this truck and we can test or a speed increase and compare to the original one.
That brought back memories.
Rebuild the engine on the r max it deserves it 👍👍
Epic T Maxx!
thanks brother!! Just out here trying to make Nitro Great again!!
@@hybrid32494 You're doing great job, epic! Just got myself 2.5 T Maxx + wicked Losi LST!!

Yo, sick video tmaxx Tim! No relation to Tim the tool man Taylor but how about to tmaxx Tony? 😂
Looks like that engine needs a refreshening nitrogang, maybe you can do it on livestream. Lets make america Nitro again.
I just got done a newer tmaxx 3.3, I cheated alittle and did get some replacement parts, but did clean alot also. Will be posting on the Facebook page soon thebfinal results 👌
For some reason a 2.5r goes really well in an early .15
New sub here bro. Put the bigger motor in it.
Man a tmaxx is awesome period. Just some need a little extra love ❤
Yesss, definitely celebrating the election results!!!!
Thats dope. I used to have an hpi rs4 pro 2. It was fast af til i drove it on ice and burned out the speed control then i traded it for some video games 🤷🤷🤷
Love the joke about the Mustang transmission and also smelling of pot 🤣😱👌

Traxxas Tmaxx TRX 🅿️®️🅾️ .1️⃣5️⃣ the KING 👑 of small block engine monster 👹 trucks 🛻
Oh yeah!!
Try the apple cider vinegar for that spur gear. It brought a lot of my Hobao Nitro Hyper SS looks new. I can buy new parts here, and I did for some parts like CV and fuel tank, but for screws I cleaned them, unless they were damaged.
Use a JX Servo as these are cheap and give lots of power, Kevin Talbot recommended it…
Maybe use a dumborc remote control as that has more range and cheaper too… Better than any remote controller brand as radiolink has been associated making dumborc.
hey my dude!! thanks for checking out this video, I use mostly the flysky GT5 radio, its reliable, easy to use and has cheap receivers.

I cant believe it runs at all I say run it till it wont start
If the compression goes out. Bye bye motor

Just swap out a new pro 15 engine I found it on eBay for cheap. $95.00
Its so funny everytime in the past when my Nitros would shift in second gear i would always get happy and more or less have a out burst of 2nd gear baby lol way funny
Yeah I picked up one of those from a fella brand new with no starter for 200 euro do you think I got a good deal
Flannel is good. Chinese Food! Say is that a 2.5 or 3.3

TRUMP !!!! Wooooooooo :)
We won!! This video has certainly aged well haha.!!!
That fuel looks gross
hey dude! I mean its regular BYRON fuel, that is how all fuel used to look at one time.
@ that’s crazy, 20 years ago as a 8 year old I remember the fuel looked fresh and blue ofc I ran top fuel so I mean hey, what do I know 🤷🏻♂️
That just awesome…!! 😎🦾🔥🔥♠️dude what’s the name of the bridge behind you?
hey bro, that is the Verrazano bridge in the back, the toll cost about 19 bucks these days, sickening!!!
