  • I am an author, speaker, blogger, and survivor of Amniotic Band Syndrome. I know what it is like to live with scars and daily challenges. I also know the amazing gift of learning to overcome it all. My videos are raw and vulnerable. I hope they will help you in some way.

Thanks my sister was born with the same, nothing has stopped her she can do everything, she has so much strength. Our own mom was very abusive to her about it which is sick but GOD my sister is a beautiful, loving, and able. She can type, writes beautifully, cooks, and cleans. She’s getting married this May and graduating from Trevecca Uni. Her TH-cam is Johanna Jax!

Oh my goodness! I am 26 years old and have lived my entire life not knowing that my "birth defects" were actually amniotic band syndrome! No doctor ever told me, and I never knew anyone else who had it until TODAY! Whaaaa ?!?! LOL I had already mostly accepted my deformed feet but now I feel even better about it, just knowing WHY and what caused it, and knowing that there are other people out there who are going through the same thing! Thanks for sharing your story :)

I also was so relieved just to know what happened - like a detective to serch for the deliquent - an then, there are so many people having worse situations to overcome, why being feeling important, I like those three leg dogs not caring.at all nor does their pack..

Bohemian Rhapsody I have deformed feet too , webbed and missing toes . Do you have missing toes too? Do you feel painful after walking for too long ? It’s so good to find someone like me !

I also have ABS. My hands and feet are similar to yours. For a long time I felt like a freak and the only person with this problem. Once I realized not everyone accepted me but the people that counted did, I was freed from feeling inadequate. I love myself now and wouldn’t change anything in my life. ❤️

Thank you, @@33eternal73! My 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finger are joined on my right hand. I had surgery on my left hand. The doctor separated my thumb since it was joined. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers are missing on my left hand. My toes on my left foot, the big toe and the one next to it are joined. My right foot has some webbing in the toes.
