Quick tip...instead of double-clicking a patch file to open it, use the File > Open option in the editor window. The patch file will open in the same window as the one you're editing, then you can copy and paste the individual patches from one list into the other.
Thanks so much for making this video. I'd given up on finding resources for these. Mine connected fine using my audio interface with midi cables at least until recently, when now it doesn't. Thought it might be a channel conflict with my USB keyboard but disconnecting it made no difference. Then after seeing the bit at 7.57 - and following those instructions it now works again. Awesome. I'm using mine with the effects loop connected through a Bad Monkey into a Vox Tonelab EX and back in - so many options now it's insane - but blooming complicated to work with. I just have them both in stomp box mode as it's too complicated otherwise.
It is complicated mate no question there, but with the use of the zoom patch editor on pc it makes things more easier than pushing and tuning all the knobs and buttons. Where are you from may I ask?

@@whssy kool, the manual is an absolute joke, its never clear with some pedals. But in the near future, I may start making a custom patch list of various artists, to hopefully bump up the subscribers and get a zoom gfx 8 community going to share with the world
@FEAUNE that shouldn't matter, mate. That's what it's called it should work fine. It's a zip file. If you download it off your phone and then move the file to your computer and then follow the procedure then all is good. 🤘
Great video! Many thanks for putting it together. The software download is no longer available on the GFX-8 webpage Do you know of anywhere where we can find a copy?
U can most likely find it through your phone. Download the file and then move it to your pc and then extract the file that way. Let me know if that has worked out for you. Here is the link to gain quick access. www.zoom.co.jp/products/guitar/gfx-8-guitar-effects-processor
Hi. I have a zoom gfx 8 that slowly losses its sound quality after few minutes it’s been used. It goes back to clean sound after been turned off and on before losing is quality sound again. Please, I need your suggestion on what is happening with it
It's just a suggestion but it may need opening up. And needs a serious clean with electronic cleaner, a can of air pressure to remove loose bits. Also check all soldering points incase there may be a cold solder or cracked solder, capacitors, look at every nook and corner of the unit. There is a video on TH-cam to fixing your pedal.
the gfx 8 is an effect pedal and not an interface, if u are wanting to record u need a USB with a guitar jack socket (Rocksmith USB cable PC, PS3, PS4 OR XBOX) . Hope this answers your question. Just to give u heads up I've been busy but will be putting a new video in regards to recording in the next few days. Keep safe.
You can use the midi cables, but the cables would both have male ends on either side or something in that region I guess, but you would need an external interface to do this, and to record through midi, as well you may need MIDI software to do this as well. I had done some research in thinking about getting an interface but they are abit pricey, hense why the cable I use is to edit the patches from my laptop. And I use a USB guitar cable to record with out midi and I use audacity a free recording software to do this. My recording tutorial will be on during next week. So look out for it. Thanks for having the time to read this. Take care.
You will need an external interface, if you want to record midi, but it's much easier to use a USB guitar cable and record into mp3 its much easier my friend.
