Thank you for your explanations, Prof.. So helpful for me to learn about seismic design for structure through video learning...
    Thank you very much.

Thanks a lot professor, your explanation is impressive and understandable.. I dont know how could this channel that have an amazing civil engineering education only have 330 subscriber.. I hope you can continue to make a video like this, and my suggestion is, you can make a video that explain to us how to applicate this seismic design of building in the software like ETABS.

Thanks Bima for your comment. I hope in the near future to make videos as you suggested.

@@dr.mohamednoureldin5718 your welcome professor, but can I ask something professor? You say in this video, that the drift calculation no need to use redundancy factor = 1,3. Is that applies too when we want to determining the story drift limit? (In ASCE 12.12.2)

Great video!.... it is possible to have the link of the video in the one you explain in detail the redundancy ?... tks again

    Thanks
Please requierd to clarify how we calculate torsional irregularities for response spectrum or any guide explained it i. Comprehensive

I use Response Spectrum function from ASCE 7 for my project. and i am using scale factor 9,81 as recommendations of CSI when defining the response spectrum load case, but I want to know the rational beyond that because response spectrum curve is defined as a function of gravitational acceleration as Ss and S1 are function of G?
And thank you for your effort❤

Sir, Thank You for the Greatest & smoothest explanation ever on this subject. Can you advice if Cd factor is applied even for Design Category-A structures if P-Delta Analysis is not required & we go with 1st order Analysis. As chapter 12 represents mostly on Categories other than "A", I assume that inelastic deflections are not required to be checked for Category-A. Please shed some light on this subject Sir. Thank you in advance.
