Everyone keeps sayin "boss looks like he's enjoying himself". He looks to me like he'd much rather be in the woods. Processors like that are fun for about fifteen minuets, then it's just mindless work. Same log, same cut, same split, repeat.
Keep up the good work and be safe.

Bells From Perth Ontario? Should have bought Cord King from Perth its the Original. Bells stole the idea and screwed it up. I'm working for Cord King and worked for Bells now known as Eastonmade and can verify this is the case. With eastonmade your paying for electric controls that can fail like that submarine that imploded and you'd need to send it back to Canada
This older model was created when tremclad was the norm. The owner of Bells was found in Cord kings yard with a tape measure stealing the information on how to construct the processer and trespassing. Had to chase them off. Compared to Cord king the chains used are fisher price.

Well swamp my flitches! Another youtube from the fashion model/ballerina/swampers. I will admit that they are the reason that this is by far my favorite youtube channel. I don’t have a sawmill. And don’t have any plans at 72 y/o to acquire one. But it’s a pure joy watching them operate their logyard.
There are are literally millions of beautiful girls whose videos I don’t watch. Many of them wear Carhartt gear and have holes in their jeans. They all have four inch glittery fingernails and the holes in their jeans came that way from the mall. You can’t swamp or sticker with four inch fingernails. And when Sami, Emerald and Jade WEAR holes in their Carharrt’s, in keeping with their no waste strategy, they convert them into shorts. These girls work like it’s the 19th century. And what is most attractive is that they are happy. Jade may be a bit grumpy every now and then but when she smiles the heavens light up. What a great family. Very unique. Other than that … keep them youtubes rollin. Please.

My best days are spent when I buck firewood up.

I find machinery fascinating. I have run some of it, but new (to me) machines are always interesting. For instance, the trip between Dallas and Midland/Odessa some folks find tedious, but I get to gawk at all that oil field machinery and then the cherry on top is the petroleum museum in Midland (or is it Odessa?). Last, I did a lot of residential tree removal in HS and college. Chain saws and other such tools can hurt or kill you given the slightest inattention. I like to see the whole family take their work seriously. Also, I read some folks complain about (lack of) glove use. After my hands got used to it, I never used gloves, unless I was getting into super-sappy lumber or poison ivy. Good luck & God bless you all.

Very nice! In one of the previous videos the boss mentioned that the "suburban" customers occasionally complained about the amount of waste material in the load of firewood. Since you do have an adequate distance between the top of your conveyor and the collection bin, you could add a chute with a bottom made out of tubes an inch or so apart to allow some of the waste to drop out as the wood slides down to the drop into the bin.. A tray underneath the chute would carry the waste back towards the processor to keep it out of the load. Good luck!

Have you guys thought of buying a machine that presses small wood chips and saw dust into briquettes? Your operation produces so much of that stuff it would seem logical to combine the hard and soft wood waste into briquettes that could also be fuel for certain types of wood burning stoves.
I watched a video by a guy from the UK who was producing 52 pounds of briquettes per hour from saw dust using a small home made machine. His machine ran automatically. All he did was fill up the hopper and turn it on.
There are companies that manufacture machines that do that. It's a shame to see all that saw dust go to waste

@@KenBreon I took a look around the net and found ELF Systems. They make a range of machines that make wood pellets as well as briquettes. These are two different machines. There is a selection of sizes of machines available. There are other manufacturers, but many of their websites don't give good information. There are probably other sites also. There were no published prices for machines.
Some machines require that small quantities of water be added to the sawdust or chips. That may not be necessary in your operation as the wood you saw has a moderate moisture content.
Some pellet operations are quite large. In your situation and the material you have available to process, you could probably create an entirely new business, however you would probably need a couple of more daughters to make it work.

Thanks for the video. The audio seemed a bit low in the body. Emeralds intro and outro were fine as was the title but the music and any ambient sounds while the boss worked was a bit lower volume. Not terribly so but I thought you might want to know.
