The two state solution was simple and available, but Palestinians rejected it, and continued to assault Israelis, and even other Arab countries like Lebanon. Even with the Israeli government, they could have eventually managed to have their own state back with the two state solution. But they rejected it, and committed terrorism, and now have to suffer the consequences. In Gaza, if Hamas didn't attack Israelis, countless civilian lives would have been saved.
