Incredible battle, so much to really analyze and breakdown - the techniques used, car handling characteristics and behaviour, driving lines, differences in power and weight and their effect in the midst of battle.
Finally with subs, now i can understand whats going on.

That FD3 was so fast, sad to see it out of the race
Simply because it is made for just 1 fast lap. Totally different class (Time Attack) than the „close-to stock“-Porsche and BMW (track modified, but usable on streets) and even the heavily track-modified S2k and RX-8
It's kinda funny that the driver of the GT3 is short shifting by like 500-1k rpms on every single gearchange. All the other drivers seem to be absolutely flogging it, but the 911 driver is going at like 8/10.
Think he misunderstood the redline of the porsche, btw Nob is geart driver. I suggest watching his suzuka time attack on hks's trb machines.
@@두부-i2gmore like a 3rd man watching rather than misunderstood, basically holding back. Probably an instruction for the show for it to not get that boring, since even if the FD didn't push that much it can definitely win this race.
The one who misunderstood this thing is probably people who watch Best Motoring for the first time, they think everyone is already giving their all while the producers know that the car tier is just too much of a gap to get serious.

鮫7は1LAPに全てを捧げたから持たねぇw。
RX8がSタイヤだとまた変わっていたんだろうけど、それでもS2のコーナーがすげぇ・・・。全開で踏めてないはずなのに、あの離れていく感じはなんとも言えない余韻がある。還暦迎えてるのにこの走りができる土屋さんは本当に凄すぎます。

It's the same with the Mazda 787B, it was slow but the faster cars had to retire the race.
Very impressive performance by the S2000, being Manual H pattern. The RX as well for being the smallest displacement and yet an absolute rocket on the straights.

I was very impreesed with the J's racing S2000!It is the only with it's oem manual transmission(mot with an auyomatic dct or aftermarket sequential gearboxes) and with just it's tuned 4cyl engine competing with high rev V8s or hybrid 3rotor engines!!(a 3rotor engine is like a 4stroke 4.0lit engine!!).I was expecting to finish last but it was 2nd behind a car with 5-6 times its price,double the engine,dct e.t.c..GT3 RS tuned is other class car.I believe a tuned cayman would be more fair.
But what a great race,i really enjoyed it!!!!
How tuned or cheap do you think that S2000 is? Does it even have the standard engine? I mean, getting 320bhp out of 2.0 liters isn't very reliable. That Porsche is factory spec.
@@mrnicktoyou The s2000 is running its f20c engine with a stroker kit(J's has 3 options 2.2/2.4/2.7 kit.The 320ps engine i am pretty sure is the 2.2 kit.The 2.4 kit outputs 345+ hp and the 2.7 kit 365hp.
If you think that an S2000 like this is even close talking about cost of purchase and tuning you need to check the price of a GT3RS......
Sure it'not cheap to build an s2000 like this but nowhere close to a GT3RS.

The m3 2 has oem gearbox you blind ? Jdm fanboys so blind..
It depends, the stoch F20c makes 250hp in Japan and it‘s a very reliable engine as long as you always check the oil and keep it topped up. Making 50-70 more hp with a built engine doesn‘t sound to much for the engine itself. Ofc miltiple parts and internals have to be changed to gain that power NA but for the engine itself it‘s not an issue. There are turbo F20C out there with 600+ hp already.

Am i the only one who felt this was a bit staged ? In the sense that the Porsche was holding back and went full speed after the first lap ?
not really. the porsche was the fastest behind the FD in quali, so it makes sense that it would end up in front by the end
well you can't throw it up the inside at every corner, plus he had the RX7 in his mirrors that might've made him drive slower
They're preserving their tires' grip, they wanted to be able to use the grip of the tires when the moment is necessarily desperate
you should watch the video til the end lol, at the post race he said that he want to watch s2k and rx8 battle
The GT3 RS would walk over them all, except that time attack RX-7. The M3 in the video is too heavy, a Team Schirmer car would be much faster.

The M3 and S2000 have an incredible numeric disadvantage. Especially against the GT3.
That's why they're given starting grid in front of everyone else. M3 because of being the heaviest while not having much power advantage is most front, with S2000 starting 2nd with much lighter weight but also at power deficit compared to rest of the field.
The s2000 did pretty good considering it got the less hp of them all it show how good dk is at driving

Are all of these (including the rx7) street legal? All seem fine, except the rx7 it looks like it eats ankles of pedestrians for breakfast.
@@tngdwn8350 That RX7 is a pretty well known time attack car, but when you do time attack at the top level the car just has to last for the outlap and then your actual lap. So I guess they spec the cooling for just those conditions to save weight. Theres no way that things street legal.
The S2000 I'm pretty sure is built to some sort of endurance spec, as DK drove it in an actual race in another video on this channel.
RX8 probably isn't either with that gearbox and interior. So probably just the Porsche and the M3.
@@tngdwn8350 Only the M3 is. It's an entrant in the touge showdown. I thought the J's S2000 was the same thing but the interior was different than the one that went up against Feed FD3S
@@IdiotRace Thanks! Yeah, here in Europe they probably find a reason why none of those cars can be street legal, but Japan seems to be more liberal in that regard, so it was at least more or less imagible for the other cars, except the rx7, to be street legal.

DK great driving skills kept that s2000 in 2nd. If it had only another 50hp for the straights, and maybe a softer rear or more stroke, it would be a weapon.

Interesting that the FD3S and the RX-8 have sequential gearboxes, on longer straights they'd pull away.
Because they are pure race build cars against stock European.
