I have been playing Negras for almost 2 years and a half and I decided to go for something a little bit more open, bright, dry and "Flamenco".
What do you think of this Conde?
Let me know in the comments below!
    Take care,
    Luciano

Desde mi humilde opinión. La lester negra tuya suena mejor que esa conde un rato largo.

      Dear mr Luciano
As i mentioned before I owned one of hermanos conde guitars, and i played on 5 of his guitars, his guitars sounds amazing but honestly overrated, i believe there is soo many others (luthiers) do better at blanca and negra, I think this happened because of the master paco de Lucia preference, i think your bernal guitar sounds better, and the other one, I believe it’s lester devoe.
      Best regards,

Jajaja
      Saludos

I have a Negra Conde that has that typical throaty powerful sound that we expect from their guitars. Yours does that sound but it’s surprising how sweet and lyrical it sounds also. Really inspiring content as always Luciano 👍🏻

Fantastic playing as always Luciano! I can't answer your question though. Guitars are so personal and subjective, everyone feels an instrument in a different way. I think only the player can decide in the end what works and feels right for them in any given situation. Keep up the great work!

I can only say that the fragment of what I guess is a granaina (10:40) has moved me to the point of making me cry. You are the flamenco guitarist I know who transmits the most sensitivity. Regarding the sound of the guitar, I think that its treble sing the melody wonderfully without the bass silencing its brilliance, piercing treble that hurts the soul.

    • @LucianoGhosn

Cuánto me alegro amigo. Es un placer! Ese fragmento fue una melodía, podemos decir que es un bolero o algo así porque no es flamenco puro. Pero entiendo que hay mucha gente que le gusta esto, como yo!
      Un abrazo!

I agree with most of your comments; this guitar sounds really "flamenco" it is rough and strong and ideal for toques like solea por buleria although you can play other styles as well. I can't say if it suits your playing more than other guitars because the choice of a guitar is always a very personal thing. Don't worry too much about what others think about your sound. You have an amazing ear and you will find out which guitar suits your needs best in a specific piece of music.

  • @qhodave
    @qhodave 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

My initial impression before you started to explain more was that the trebles are strong and the blanca sounds great. I'm all in for team blancas.
I always found your playing excellent and been following ever since the Farruca at SF. Your playing is... Not soft but tender and romantic. I like that, fits more your VA covers than Paco. Maybe this blanca gets you a little more punch in.
That being said I am a huge fan and you're fantastic. Thx for the frequent videos.

this video proves its not the guitar, its the hands playing it, ive only started playing flamenco, being a rock guitarist all my life, i found myself a prudencio saez g36 for a good price but since im only learning right hand flamenco techniques i am not making the guitar sound like it should, i would imagine if i handed it to over you could make it sound like that Conde, always a pleasure watching you play!

The guitar sounds amazing, and while being blanca it remains warm sounding. The size ofcourse is quite big for smaller hands. Btw, I 'm sure even a student guitar would sound extraordinarily in your hands. Finally, though I have some excellent prestige guitars, the search for an easier but good sounding guitar seems to never end ! Jordi Franco and Vicente Amigo have done us favour with these new Alma strings.

Hey Luciano, I have a 2002 felipe conde blanca that I've been playing since then. Similar in sound to this one. There have been times I've loved it and times it really dissapoints. To me this guitar sounds like it overall inhibits your lyrical expression when your playing although It sounds sweet and focused in its own way. I enjoy guitars that don't require any justification, they just work and inspire you regardless of materials, price or brand. Hard to come across though haha

I admire the old blues masters from the first half of last century who played really cheap guitars with terrible action on strings which were actually more like cable wire. Now, of course you couldn’t play anything really challenging on these axes 🪓 but they made the most out of it in terms of character and tone. What I want to say is that the relation between player and instrument is a two way street. Mostly the instrument should serve the player to express himself but sometimes the player should also serve the instrument to make it sound the best it can according to its individual proclivities.

Hurrah! What a wonderful performance! Dear guitarist! I congratulate and wish you all the best to perform well in more and more stages, recording studios, movies, schools, colleges, trusts, old age homes, churches etc. Thank you very much for your demonstration! I like guitar music because of it's versatility. Guitar can be used to play single melody notes (either on lower or upper octave), melody with harmony, chord progression, sequence of arpeggios. It can be played for rock, pop, classical, folk, jazz or any styles of music. The thicker strings helps to play in lower octave and thinner strings helps to play in upper octave. Mixing both upper and lower octave notes we play chord progression or melody with harmony.

    Hi Luciano
Sorry I am a little late to the party, but I thought I’d still post a comment though. I recently commented on your comparison with the expensive Conde and a much cheaper guitar, and I mentioned that I had a preference for the cheaper one over the dryness etc of the Conde. I find on this review that on the one hand at times your playing almost outshines the capacity of this Conde, yet you’re enthusiasm and connection with it kind of elevates it on the other. It does have a nice trebly, punchy sound and when you play an arpeggio or the strings in unison then it seems to come into it’s own and resonates brilliantly! Like you said it also seems to handle the sweet, soulful melodies nicely too. I know like others have said that it’s a very subjective matter and I do agree, however I just thought I’d have a try at an objective description of it. Thanks again as always for your insightful videos. Best wishes, Paul.

Without headphones I can't hear all the nuances but sounds great even without headphones. I always had problems with all my classical guitars with intonation. I would check that first, as it is very slightly out of tune when playing especially up the neck which just could be the strings. But I'm a stickler about intonation. I love your playing, and would love to take some lessons if you do give!
