    Love That Burns has some of the loveliest subtle blues tone combined with some very delicate playing, inspires me to keep practicing

      Absolutely, we've been playing that track in the Rumours show. Considering Peter Green was in Fleetwood Mac for under 3 years, there's a weath of incredible music is astonishing.

    I saw you guys at the Derngate in Northampton in 2018 and I've gotta admit that I wasn't expecting the tribute to Peter Green and I got a bit emotional! What an amazing gig. Think I'm gonna flip the magnet in my LP neck pickup, what the hell, I've got a couple of spares haha. Keep up the good work brother! I'm hitting the sub button now.

      I appreciate that Andy!! Thank you! 🤘 I think we're back at the Derngate this year too... Good luck with the magnet flip.

    Hi Scott. Saw you in Dorking this month. Loved the way you played the 'Peter Green' way.....

    I believe it’s turning the magnet inside the pick up. Not turning the pick up around that gives you the out of phase. You can do it yourself. And you’ll get the real quack.

      It is indeed. I need to do an update to this video with more information I’ve learned since.

    Great video. I know this isn't in line with your typical content, but could you please make a video lesson of Pete Green's Rollin' Man from Mr. Wonderful? It's one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs, I would greatly appreciate it, I'd love to learn that song and have no clue how to learn stuff by ear.

    I wired an HSS Strat with an out of phase wiring on the 2 position on a 5 way. One coil of the humbucker and the middle.. DiMarzio Breed with Blue Velvets. It's a great tone, but have to boost it.. and be mindful to tap the boost off for the other positions.

    Hi Scott, I know you have a Line 6 JTV 59 Variax that you keep as a spare or for some flying gigs. Have you had the neck pickup magnet reversed or do you have a preset on the electronic sounds to give an out of phase effect? Saw The Rumours of Fleetwood Mac gig in Liverpool recently, absolutely brilliant!!!

    • @ScottPoleyMusic
      @ScottPoleyMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re ahead of the curve on this Dave, I have a whole video coming out about the Variax soon. Short answer, the guitar is almost totally stock, I use the software to get the out of phase sound.

      @@ScottPoleyMusic Thanks for the reply Scott. I have owned a JTV ‘59 since they first came out and think it’s great. After seeing your great Peter Green segment in the show it’s inspired me to learn more of his repertoire. Will follow your lead on this and plug into Workbench. Looking forward to your video on the Variax. All the best for the rest of the tour.

    I thought we could have Greeny sound in the middle position at every VOL and tone level ? It is true or is there a sweet spot ?Want to do the mod…thanks for your help 🙏😉

    I'm wondering.... there are people said that peter did reverse the magnet and some said reverse the entire pickups..... I'm confused.... do i need to reverse the magnet and the entire pickup together?? what do you think??

    • @ScottPoleyMusic
      @ScottPoleyMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I understand the pickup was 'repaired' at which point the magnet was installed the opposite way around. That has alot more to do with the tone than just turning the pickup around.

    • @jackslayers
      @jackslayers 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ScottPoleyMusic i see.... i think i need to experiment with the reversing the pickup and magnet.... Well thank you for your opinion......

    • @nicholasguitars5527
      @nicholasguitars5527 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      changing the physical direction of the pickup won't get the sound, the magnet needs to be flipped. simple enough process if done with care

    • @ScottPoleyMusic
      @ScottPoleyMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't do the magnet flip, I took a pair of stunningly good Sheptone PAF's out of the guitar that I didn't want to modify. If I come across someone willing to explain the magnet flip (or a cheap set of humbuckers that I can modify), I'll post another video. Keep your eyes posted.
