  • Today is national potato day! We decided to take a Canadian twist on it and cook our national dish, POUTINE! Poutine is fries, covered with cheese curds, and smothered with gravy. Join us and see how we prepare this amazing dish on Dad TV.

Dude- I absolutely live for your outdoor food prep vids. The boiling oil/ pocket knife/ cast iron...always a homerun!

Looks yummy. And yes, leaving on the skin makes fried potatoes/fries so much better.

Now I love anything with a crunch but I have to say, that dish looks very enticing. Outdoor cooking somehow brings another flavor to any dish. Awesome Dad TV. Nice watch. 👍 🇳🇿 🙋‍♀️ 🇳🇱

The skin of a potato is the best part and has the most vitamins of the potato. I will have to try Poutine.

As a general rule I don’t eat anything with “pou” in the name.🤣
I just had to explain the kids what gravy is. Both Sarah and I don’t like it so we’ve never had it at our house.
This is making it sound like I don’t like much, isn’t it. 🤷‍♂️

You know it's funny, gravy is just a normal thing here in Canada. You order fries at a restaurant and they will ask "Do you want gravy with that?" It's just the norm here. I did a trip through the west coast of the states many years ago and the looks I got when I would ask for gravy with my fries.... "You mean like country gravy?" LOL! so weird.
