I love towns that keep the old buildings up and use them. I just love the architecture of the older buildings....they sure don't make them like they used to. My husband, Adam, had a horrible night...so it's been relaxing to watch this. I will email you Calvin, when I can. Even though I'm a nurse...I have never worked in oncology...I've dealt with patients...but not the chemo and all of that. Thank you Calvin and Marie for sharing this with us and praying for everyone who has requests.

I purchased a set of adjustable aluminum walking sticks through Amazon I use when walking outside. They also came with different walking tips for different terrains. They have really help me feel steadier when walking. I can usually use one of them when needed to. Enjoyed your wonderful video on your trip to Rome. Thank you for taking us with you. Such a sweet little town with nice churches. Addison was having so much fun making cookies and enjoying her treats.

It was nice and cool here yesterday morning. I hope that means fall temps are coming soon. Nice food pantry. Here there are churches that have pantry's and they will bring food to people that call for help. I have had to rely on them at times when I divorced and had kids to feed. Nice of you to put food in there. There is a ministry here that takes donations of food or money to buy food for the needy and I sometimes send them $ to help. God knows I have needed it at times and I like to give back. LOL Addison doesn't like getting her hands messy. She's so cute. She wiggles her finger saying we can't eat until we cook it. So smart.

You didn't exavtly explain it, but it looks like that cabinet is a depository for items that the homeless or just anybody in need can select from. I wish there was a change in weather here, with cooler temperatures. Recently, several of my plants burned to death due to the heat, and these were heat-resistant plants!😢 Thanks for taking us on a tour through your town. I find it most relaxing with the music playing even though I'm not physically present. I'm going to have to source for a larger Dollar Tree in my area like the one you're in for more inventory to pick from. Can't go wrong with a blouse for only $1. Marie, that was kind of you to drop off food to the needy so folks with little means don't go hungry.❤❤
We finally ate at Pick o Deli because of you both! We loved it! We had a heavy dr.day,and have to eat out on those days. Otherwize ,we enjoy cooking at home. We just love your channel. We were wondering if we could see that little church by the stream? Do they mind if you sit by the creek? Wouldn,t leave garbage or anything. Good to see they have that cabinet. I have alot of things we won,t use. Food too. Do they want clothing?
Glad you enjoyed eating there. Marie and I ate there today also. The church has a few benches there beside the creek. There is usually people there but we try to go when there's not any people so that we can record in private. I don't think that church is set up for clothes donations.
Blessing boxes we have several in our town. And our state has a list if we visit another town. We also put in seed packets new, for anyone needing to garden. Mental health is often helped by gardening plants or bedding plants for sale. Some of the churches have groups that garden on their property. So they now add seeds to their donation wants since covid. It was very helpful in mental health and if very low income the receiver's of the donations can make bedding plants to sell by the churches donating egg crates, paste board cups, soil mix, and knowledge classes along with tools - fertilizers, tags etc. Tools shouldn't be donated as they are often end up as weapons they told us. Just seeds. So we usually donate about 200$ worth from cheap 50 cent ones to 4$ packets from corn, lettuces, tomatoes, carrots, all the cole crops. We see so many selling our given bounty, and the city has encouraged gardens now and assists In supply days, classes. Etc. It's like the victory gardens of the war years
When I hear Rome Georgia I always think of that song by George Jones and tammy wynette when they say it.I love love the dollar tree I wanted to go so bad to a couple today but my 21 yr.old daughter wouldn't go so I didn't get to ,and such a beautiful day in Loogootee Indiana today with a hi of 75 to waste it at home.Glad you guys got out and enjoyed the cooler weather
