6 passenger seating arrangement is such an under-rated feature. Not only can I squeeze an extra person in when bringing the family someplace, I can also have my dogs sit down right next to me which they love. It also calms them down when driving with them. It's a must have feature for me.
Just got my special order 3 weeks ago. 2022 HEMI Bighorn Cold Weather Package, crew cab. Just turned in 2018 Same truck. Both trucks were great, but the 2022 is so refined, Acoustic noise dampening, air ride, great interior. There is no Substitution for Ram, you get it all w Ram
Yes sir! Got my 2020 Big Horn Night Edition on 3/20 and still love it today as much as the first day I drove it! Highly recommend. It has everything I need. Great truck!
I owned a 2019 Ford F-150 FX4, and a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4, and now I own this RAM 1500 Big Horn BTS after trading in my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. This is the best truck compared to others I had before. The interior is stylish and high quality. The drive is very smooth and easy to maneuver. Buying this edition is a band for the buck. I paid for what I needed and used. So far, after 4,000 miles, the MPG is 17.5 on the odometer.
I agree with you the bighorn is a great truck. Never had a problem in the nearly three years I’ve had mine.I got the tarted up version with led’s, bedliner, tonneau cover, premium wheels. At the time I bought it the discounts were crazy so I paid only $38k. If I’m to believe kbb or edmunds or car guru, I can sell for more than I paid. Insane prices.
I just traded in my 2018 HEMI Bighorn for a special built of the same both were Level 2. I bought the 2018 in 2020, my trade in was thousands more than I paid for it. I got paid to drive that truck for 2 years. Ram's are going for top dollar right now, with the trade in and a bunch of rebates my payments went down and now I have brand new
I'm still driving my '08 Lone Star 2WD (which is Big Horn in TX). Been a good truck, only a couple of minor issues. Air won't blow out of the floor vents and driver side exhaust manifold bolt(s) snapped so there's a tick until the engine warms up. Nothing that I think is really worth fixing. By comparison, even the new "base" trucks have so many features that mine doesn't. Mine stickered new at $36k back in 2008. I got it new in Jan 2009 for $20k. My timing was pretty good on that purchase. Would like to have a new one, but this one still does the job.
I have a '21 Big Horn RWD night edition with level 2 equipment group and absolutely LOVE how much value I got for 45k... Got it in April and already have 13k miles on it. Great video as always ben...
Just got 2022 HEMI Bighorn, great price for what you get. Definitely a high performance luxury vehicle. Traded in 2018 same truck. I'll never buy anything but RAM again, my wife loves it more than I do
Hi Ben! Yeah the Bighorn is a decent bang for your buck as I’m on Bighorn number three now and all of them have been just awesome! I don’t ever wanna pay over 50K for a truck so I guess I will continue buying the Bighorn lol..Yes Ben the Eco Light was there on the 2021 Big Horn because the way this old man drives here in Florida my Eco light is almost always on!!! 😂😂😂
Lol. Use that Hemi Loran. Peddle to the metal…. Clean out that carbon build up in that there cylinders. Lol. That’s ok. Old guy here up in Canada does the same. Well most of the time 😄
@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKS 😂 Last week me and the family did go up to the Smokies from FL and drove through Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee and on the way up there and on the way back a lot of the time I was going between 80 and 90 mph… Let me tell ya that hemi purrs at 90 miles an hour on the interstate it was awesome!!!😊👍🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I don't know if it's true or not but I was told that the 6 cylinder pentastar & transmission combo on these trucks are probably the most reliable 6 cylinder vehicle from Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler sells.
Just got a 2022 Ram Big Horn 3.7 V6 yesterday. Very impressed. Drives great and very nice interior. Yes, the infotainment system is sophisticated yet easy to use without taking up too much space.
I was looking at a electric blue big horn quad cab and it really caught my eye. The only down fault it didn’t have the winter package of heated steering wheel and seats, also remote start and in Canada that a must for me,did have the V8 ,it looked nice 😊 and msrp was $56 thousand Canadian.
I just bought a 2022 Bighorn 2WD quad cab 2 weeks ago. Level 2 package, bed utility package, in Delmonico Red. I absolutely love it. My previous truck was a 2012 ST Express so the electronics are mind blowing in comparison. One thing though, my backup camera tracking lines don't move with the wheel. It doesn't really matter to me but i'm wondering if that is one of the chips not installed due to the shortage?
Not knocking the truck, it’s a good decent bang for buck truck, but $52,645 MSRP seems pretty steep. It’s not even a loaded out Big Horn. Like you said it’s entry level-ish and one step above a work truck. Just 15 years ago that MSRP got you the bees knees of trucks. Inflation is good in tires, otherwise it’s a real byotch.
I am a Ford guy and I would buy this exact truck but all I can find is the ETorque. This system worries me and I see battery issues with this down the road. If I can find a Billet Silver with a regular 5.7. I would buy it.
I had a 5.5 bed in a Chevy, never again, JUST long enough to be annoying. I had a '13 Ran 1500 Outdoorsman and was actually pretty surprised with the cloth seats, they were comfortable and held up really well in the few years I had it.
I just traded a 2021 Ram bighorn sport edition 5"7 bed Etorque for a 2022 Ram 1500 bighorn 6"4 bed WITHOUT ETORQUE and a few more extras on the option list. A few bucks more in the payment but im happy. On some trucks i see around, the cab is longer than the bed itself! Totally ridiculous.....smh.
I really like my 2019 Ram 1500 classic Bighorn (4th Gen), however unfortunately its had quite a few issues that a truck thats under 3 years old shouldn't be having. All before 60k miles I've had the lifters, 1 exhaust manifold and driveshaft all replaced under warranty and I've had to bring it in multiple times to try to get them to fix it. Also I've had a few bugs on the Uconnect 8.4 touchscreen, but haven't gotten it fixed due to my truck being past the 3 year/36k mile warranty. I Really like the truck and how it drives, but honestly I probably wont't buy another Stellantis product unless they fix all their issues. My friend has a 2019 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost and it has had a couple problems as well (cam phaser issue and transmission clunking) however ford says theres nothing wrong and refuses to fix his truck. Luckily for me at least Ram has fixed the issues under warranty (had to do a bit of arguing though). Other than those issues the truck has served me well and hopefully won't have any more issues.
Man! That's too bad. I've got a 2016 4TH Gen with over 100 thousand miles. Only non-service, non-wear item I've replaced is the left front abs speed sensor. That's what I get for living in a place where winter lasts 6 months, and salt is used on the roads liberally. It's been a really great truck.
daaaaam, i agree, bad luck, i had 2, 3th gen and 4th gen, both being good to me, never lifters or exhaust bolts, the worst i had was transmission solenoid on 3th gen at 140k 11 years old, my friend had same on 5 year old tundra
@@k.c.marshall921 except it’s not a “5th gen” which is what the new redesign rams are called. The 2019 classic is essentially a 2014 ram built in 2019 so that’s why I bought it figuring it would be more reliable than the redesigned 2019 5th gen. Nonetheless I’m still very happy with my truck, definitely one of the best cars I’ve ever owned!
Hey Ben, what do you think will happen with all the 2021 model trucks that are waiting for chips when the 2022 models come out? Since the changes between the two years aren’t big, would it be a good idea to see if there will be discounts as the dealers try to unload the 2021’s?
In my opinion if all of the auto makers could get all the chips they wanted and started cranking out the 2022s I’m thinking there would be huge discounts on the 2021s…

Hey Ben! Any reason why the instrument cluster on this 1500 big horn is different from all of the other ones? Is it because of the level 1 safety group? I’ve noticed that getting that package on the big horns changes the cluster to the one like on this truck. Any clarity on this would be appreciated as I’m looking to get a new Ram soon!
Honestly nowadays. No new or used vehicle is the best bang for your buck. They are all overpriced and likely will stay that way until TSMC finishes their plants in the U.S and supply increases. Dealerships only have roughly 20 days of inventory when they should normally have 90 days. So yeah, save your money or you buy an overpriced asset like a fool.
