Hey man! I thought of retrofitting the original USB port into the armrest, just for charging. Do you think it would require some coding to make it work? It seems to me that the cables for connecting it are the same as the ones for connecting the phone in the center armrest. So I thought of just connecting it to the existing ones. Thanks in advance, appreciate all your vids😁

It doesn’t requires any coding, I just did that to both have an always live plug inside the armrest wireless charger, also an ambient light in the footwells with the switch on. Any codes whatsoever.
I actually try to find the one I bought online but I don’t know which shop selling these, I got them locally. But probably most of them you find online works good as long you don’t buy the cheapest ones from AliExpress.

Yess it come with flap!
But usually is not (broken) so is kinda easy to put it back. No need to remove anything if you only repair flap 👍

Not sure about that, is sound it could work without any coding. But if is not working you could take the power from the rear 12v socket!

Go for it, is really easy procedure to remove the top part! Hopefully you could find the fault then 👌
I think I will take the power from and disable the rear cig lighter and power 2 new USB ports for the center console.
