Man I am totally digging mine for what it is. Love cruising backroads and just cruising around 35 to 45mph when there's nobody behind me. Top speed is only around 60 at the moment. Decided to get this over the 300LS for better gas mileage and further range. Very happy ✌️
i’ve been teaching myself how to ride on this over the past month or so. have a little over 300 miles so far. it’s been awesome. and at 41, 170 lbs and right at 6’ tall it’s been perfect for me. mostly travel on roads that are 45-55 and it keeps up in traffic just fine.
Great video, very good. This same model was sold here in Brazil for a long time, initially was with 125 cc and later with 150 cc. Today it is for sale as the NXR 160 Bros, bringing more modernity with the digital panel, electronic injection, disc brakes on both wheels and, obviously, a larger displacement. We also don't have ABS, Ride Modes or Clutch Assist, but the bike is a top seller in the segment, a darling.
I just got a CB500X and thought it was ideal...then I dropped it and at 78 didn't have strength enough to pick it up. This looks very interesting, just light enough and fast enough for a little road and easy trails. Thanks for the review.
I'm currently on a Suzuki Burgman 650 as well as a Raider 150. This is gonna be my next bike as soon as I land back in the Philippines. Really excited!
I love Baxter Cycle. I bought a Triumph TR6Cf from Randy twenty-some years ago and loved the bike and the back room of Baxter Cycle's shop, where all the cool stuff resides.
They sell them here in NZ 🇳🇿 as farm bikes.Stopped being road legal here in 2021 due to no Abs front & rear. Can ride them on road if live in countryside like me & need farm Rego $20 a year & 50km range from farm, lifestyle block. The 190XR is a fuel injected model.
Greetings from 'waaay down under' in kiwiland. I must say I'm tempted by one of these little things, or maybe a CTX200. I like the idea of something that can do the speed limit (100km/h, ~60mph) but mostly about 80km/h. ~50mph. They are mostly used as farm bikes here but can be road registered. A great video.
I wish Honda would have changed one thing. I live on Colorado so if it was injected and not a carb (to handle the elevation changes better) I'd write a check for one right now.
I got a CRF150L same motor but fuel injected, also rear disc, upside down Showa forks and 18" rear 21" front wheels. So far put a one finger clutch lever from MSR and grips. Want to get stainless braided lines and the Norifumi titanium full exhaust, the full 240cc kit...
they make almost the exact same bike in a 190 FI. I have bought both the 150 and the 190 multiple times when traveling/touring in Latin America. The 190 is significantly better (but both great bikes).
KILLER Simplicity @ a killer price slays the Chinese dragon bikes...... I'd save $1,000 extra to buy this b/c it is a proven bike over the long haul. Intent & money are the big factors in what one buys but most folks don't know what they really want except to be riding..... in a city setting or small town where the interstate highway can be avoided, this one could be a great little bike but if you get on bigger roads you'd better be a good defensive rider. It's not hard, just tedious as I learned riding a moped for 3 yrs. Thanks for the review
Yeah, I've been looking for a 1st bike but only b/c I'll be able to buy it w/o a bank note - that's a big incentive but I'll see how things go? If I get the money I hope to get I'll want the 300L Rally version. It fits my "intent" for a bike better than the 150L but I have to be patient = hard to do when I see videos like your... yup yup. peace
This bike is in latinamerica since 2015 ( more , less ) and is awesome , basic , strong , fuel efficient , and dependable 🏍 , In my opinion the only problem is weight , she’s quite heavy for such a little power ,
Great bike I want one but sadly I’m not paying $125 a month for 48 months ! That’s what my local dealer tried charge me 2 days ago! Lots of hidden extra charges . Sad . Honda makes a product and people can’t truly enjoy it because of crooked dealers
You said you would not do 4 lane highways or go very far on this, but if you got it up to 60mph and you also said it would do pretty much everything, why would you say that? Just curious. I mean with simple tech and not much to break on it, what is the reason you would not take it far? Thanks.
It's a great little motorcycle. Comfort would be an issue for me on longer rides. Think it's a great bike but not a touring bike. Having said that, a good friend of mine bought this bike in black and just loves it for all kind of riding except Interstate. Wahoo!
@@forgottenmotorcycles Oh ok, I got one after not riding any kind of bike for many years and have really enjoyed it. The way I see it, this has less tech so less to break on it, it gets great MPG (I'm getting 100-107), has a far softer seat than most dual sports, holds 3 gal of gas, and will do 55 so no problems taking it a long way. No, would not get on an interstate, but a 55mph 4 lane county road should be ok. I was just wondering if there was a known issue that made you say that but sounds like you just meant from a comfort perspective. Great video by the way. Thanks.
Would love to purchase one myself. However, once the Stealership gets their markups it will be out of the range for the working man. But, the boomers certainly have the cash to buy one or more !
@@poisonousnut They delivered mine at no cost. OP said it's out of the range of the working man. With 3-year financing, payments AND insurance is less than $100 bucks for me, with $1000 down. I think a working man can afford that.
Killer horsepower...killer thrills??? Must be your first motorcycle ride ever. One thing this China bike clone with Honda decals on it is not is thrilling....
I love mine. Last couple of tanks have returned about 85mpg. It is a great commuter.
Great fun too!
I’m 215lbs and I’m getting over 90! Absolutely amazing and doing 40 feels like 80 so it’s fun even if it’s slow 😂

I just bought one and love it

Yep this bike is a street bike that can go off road. The crf models are dirt bikes that can go on the road. I prefer the smaller tires and lower seat.

I wish the Bros would be for sale in the US. they are a blast. I rode one on a trip to Central America.

3500 OTD here in SC. Love it, it's a fun machine!
Very cool!
Mine cost another 1k for dairy fes and what not. Might fly up there for my next bike
Best reveiw I have seen instead of trash talking for what it ain't said what it is a motorbike

Nice! It was a fun little bike to ride. Wahoo!
Interesting laws they put in place. They make sense though. Glad not here lol
I had an XL 250 back in the early 70’s
Great bikes aren't they?
Had a 75 XL250 and loved it big time.

Would love to ride one...in Jamaica. Wahoo!
I’m glad they kept it nice and simple for the U.S. market.
Same here
I got mine to 63mph tucked in down a hill. I'm 190 pounds. 0-50mph 15 seconds. 50-60mph couple hours! I love riding it though! So light,so easy,

I want one of those but sadly my parents won't let me get a motorcycle license so long as I'm living with them, and yes I'm an adult

yeah just scrape together $3500 and pay for it out right. that’s what mine cost with taxes and fees, $3517 out the door from a dealership.
12.5 horsepower...Wahoo!
Killer power!
@forgottenmotorcycles Hold on, if you can!
Looks like RE lit a 🔥under Honda's behind. 😉
It does!
Triumph and Honda are sweating😅.
Triumph has that new 400 scrambler and Honda has their CRF 300LS ( shorty) $5700.00.
This little 150 is cool.
12.5 HP. Wahoo!

loads of fun!

Yes, this fun machine is for sale at Baxtercycle.com Wahoo!
Hope the speedo lights up at night?! Plan to get for a commuter..
I"m thinking it does. Wahoo!
it does, just went out and checked :)
you are all about them mm`s Nice review though.

Where did you buy the handle bar cross bar and what company makes it. Thanks
The bike was a trade in so that accessory was purchased by the previous owner. I don't really know much about it other than it looks good :-)
Ok thanks. Nice bike I will grab one.
What are the brand of those handguards?
I can't remember but think they were Barkbuster's
