You guys are getting into the electric bikes!
Yes, that's 4 of them now. They clearly are the future.
Askoll does ordinary bikes too. It seems there’s beginning to be a crossover between motorcycle and bicycle manufacturers. The world is changing!
Lots of interesting new cross-overs. Just been looking at Van Moof which are cool bicycles, too.
Neat little thing. I’m tempted!
Yeah, it's the best little electric bike we've ridden so far.
Nice camera work!
Good team - thank you!
40 miles an hour isn’t bad really. Whenever I look at my averages I’m amazed by how we never really do more than about 15mph in town.
Honestly, it was always as fast as we needed, nipping around London.
For someone like me that can’t afford the cost of a motorcycle anymore or the insurance that goes with it, this might be a real option.
If the world is getting simpler, this is one of the solutions we should embrace. It really is a neat little thing.
Some great lines in there!
Mille Grazie! :)

They have a few different models on the website. Is this one top of the range?
yes, the ES3 has the 'most battery' and is their nicest model.
How much is the noise of the fan during charging? Can I bring it to a library? Or keep it at work under the desk without annoying anybody?
How long are the batteries guaranteed for?
Good question. 5 years we believe.
There’s so many new brands of electric stuff on the market now, I’m lost. Who says this lot aren’t fly by night
that's a fair concern - there are tons of new players, and a fair few are just rebrands of others. But Askoll do seem legit and have a good history.
What license do I need for one of These
Do you feel safe on it, on the open road?
Yes, most of the time. On a dual carriageway when things are getting close to its maximum speed, maybe not so much. But otherwise, yes, always.
Do you need insurance and everything for this?
Yup - and insurers are scratching their heads a bit about what these new bikes really are.
Stick to the combustion engines lad - while we can make noise, let’s enjoy it!
haha - the noises of the wild! We get you.
I don’t get why it costs three grand!
The answer we get is the electric engineering and battery costs, of course.
I’m not sure Askoll has a long history of making scooters, unlike Piaggio. I think I’d trust a proper company more.
Piaggio clearly are the grandfathers of all this scootering, but we do think Askoll are a proper company.
It does look a bit flimsy and I wouldn’t trust an Italian bike in a British winter!
Yes, that reputation will take a long time for the Italians to live down. But it all looked and felt well engineered.
Why so expensive tho 79 a week that's 7500 for the 2 years
What happens when you want to trade one of these things in though. I bet they’re worthless.
There's a big question hanging over all electric vehicles, isn't there? What happens when the batteries are knackered?
I wouldn’t trust Italian electrics. You should have seen my Alfa Romeo!
Haha - I had one of those too!
