thats all i use i dont use any other line except fluro on salt liters i use mono for every bait thats all my grandpa uses too and hes a bass guide
@@bray_12 me as well.i have a lake here in arkansas called conway.its a very very heavy vegitated & lilly pad stumpy lake.mono all the way.theres always gonna be a hang up here & there but not that bad.i hate the braided stuff.

Why not mono ? It's been around far longer than the braids and floro and has caught tons of all fish species. I've been bass fishing for 40 yrs and it's all I use and will use . Don't have troubles with break offs or the dreaded line stretch braid guys talk about . And don't even give any of the so called problems of mono a second thought , braid is just another gimmick to sell something else to all the up and coming fishermen and older guys who went for the bullshit .

Great video as usual I have been watching you for a long time and absolutely love your top water frog hookset can you please explain or do a video exclusively on that. You do it in such a cool laid back way that I just can't seem to master. When I get a blow up I be more excited than a kid on xmas day and I miss some of them for that reason. I also feel like if I wait too long the bass will turn it loose. Please help!

I stopped fishing years ago because I'm a "catch and release" guy and I was just killing too many fish that had to be dispatched because you couldn't retrieve the lure or hook. I grimaced seeing those lures so down in the throat. I guess now they make them better so you don't have to kill the fish to retrieve the lure?
I would just try setting the hook sooner. When I gut hook a fish it's usually because I let it take the lure for far too long
LthrWrstlr1 another thing to consider in this case is the relatively little pressure these fish see, so they are eager to eat because nothing they eat ever has hooks, but I do second thomis in setting the hook sooner doesnt hurt. I also pinch all the barbs on all my hooks so that any fish hooked in or around a bad spot is easier to get unhooked with less mess than a barb

Here in in Germany we have a lot of trouble with racoons from the US and our only native water turtle species is often eaten or damaged by raconns.

Anyone know what line he’s using with the frog? Didn’t look like braid.
He likes using 20 lbs mono but I and most others would not recommend doing that unless the frog your using has lighter wire hooks and your fishing more open water areas he even said in a lot of his videos to not use mono it’s just something he sometimes does
See i live on bear creek lake in alabama.. i have the hardest time catching any bass over 2lbs its kinda unreal. see im from florida where the bass are just living in your living room. any tips for this lake @bamabass?
