This is absolutely the best frog fishing video on TH-cam! The scenery, the quietness with the sounds of fishing and nature, wading in the shallow water, etc!
@BamaBass I admire your ability to pause so long after a blow up... That took me about a year to master. Probably the hardest task in the world.. to be able to watch a 3-5 lbs bass blow up on your frog like shark week.. and give it a 2 second pause haha Awesome video man! Thanks
Got my shipment of Sprinker Frogs last week. Can't wait to start throwing them. Top water action is only a matter of weeks away up here In NJ. This video is unbelievable. I can't stop watching it. I'm sure glad Liz stayed in the boat to catch this amazing footage. Thank you, guys.
Crazy, intense, once in a lifetime conditions and you guys STILL are able to fish it properly, explain how you're doing it, get fantastic footage, fantastic edit, and THIS is why you guys deserve every bit of your success and more. Great job! Who could have possibly given this a dislike?
Coming from an angler all the way up in Toronto Ontario Canada I can truly say you've been an inspiration to me and multiple close fishing buddy's of mine since I came across your channel. You always bring something different in your posts, as well as always bring a smile to my face and most importantly spark ideas in my bass brain that I would have never thought of... Cheers from Ontario Canada! ... just want to point out that I'm always blown away seeing you do what you do running mono lol
That was a blast....lol. And the drone footage of all those bass in those shallows & feeder creeks was amazing. My Twin Troller X-10 could go right up in there, plenty close enough to reach those shallow bass. It floats & operates in only 8 inches of water, very quiet with its twin MotorGuide heads recessed UP INSIDE each pontoon & completely protected with aluminum grates that are flush mounted to the bottom. I can spin a 360 on a dime, even go straight backwards, or hold my position perfectly in wind or current, ALL BY USING THE TWIN FOOT PEDALS. It operates exactly like a Bobcat or skidsteer. It goes right through fields of lily pads & most any "rooted" weeds & grass, like a knife through butter. You can stand or sit & the 2 seats spin 360 degrees. I bought mine last October, and dollar for dollar, it's hands down the best & most fun fishing boat I've ever owned. Strongest hull material in the industry, and all top quality components. 2 men can't capsize it, and it's also unsinkable, seriously. I absolutely love mine. You ( or anyone for that matter ) should check em out. Fish all day on a single battery charge. You can also add a tiny outboard to get to further fishing destinations a little quicker. ( I've owned several boats over the years, including a couple nice bass boats.......and I swear to you, I actually catch MORE bass using this little boat.)
Love that you wait to set the hook after the initial blow up,...we're so used to being excited and setting the hook too early we yank the bait right out the bass's mouth,...good work!
After watching this video I went out and bought a couple Sprinker Frogs, and they are amazing. Caught a 7 pounder this morning before the storm came in, thanks a lot for making the video!
Wow this whole video was awesome, from the drone footage of the bass in the water, to the awesome top water smashes! Those close ups were awesome Liz!! Good stuff BamaBass!!
Man to have your wife come fishing with you is one, to have her film you fish is two, and to have her LOVEEE fishing is the best of all!! My wife is such a city girl.. no outdoors life at all.. too freaked out by bugs and all! Great frogging video man! Love it! I'm by NYC trying to highlight lakes and ponds out here.. but havent had the time recently.. :( Great video.. love your stuff!
I want to thank you BamaBass for share so many pointers! I did exactly what I learned from you and I just caught my first fish on a frog after trying for two years (no joke) it was only a 1lb but it made my day! Thank you!
I love that southern bammy accent.I'm a Georgian living in San Juan,Puerto Rico.I miss hearing that accent.I also love seen you catch lunker bass in 2 ft.a water!
I knew it! That's mot an island, that's a Beaver Lodge. And those finger creeks are Beaver Runs, the trails the beaver use to come and go in. Beaver are great eating as well.
Hands down my favorite frog fishing video. Nice frog crushing action and an abundance of hungry bass. Looks like it was a blast ! thanks for the entertainment
Looks like fun, but be careful. A brain eating amoeba can live in pond muck. Don't swim in ponds and avoid touching your face and nose when wade fishing. Also broken glass could cut your feet and water moccasins could bite you. That "island" is a beaver lodge and the channels radiating out from it are made by the beavers. The bass are using these channels to trap/ambush prey. The presence of beavers means the water likely has Giardia (beaver fever), which can cause sever diarrhea. Kayak fishing would be safer in 6" to 12" of water and although there is some splashing when paddling, there is fare less disturbance of the bottom muck where the amoeba live. I am an MD fisherman. Love your videos!
Dr MitoFit I have utmost respect for your knowledge as an MD, and I'm sure there is some level of risk with everything you said. However, life is filled with risks, and if everyone worried about all the things you just listed, no one would ever just get out and enjoy the outdoors. There are diseases and dangers in urban areas too, and there is some quality of life advantages to just kicking off your shoes and wade fishing in a pond! He already said he had the time of his life that day, and we know he is alive and well today. So I'd encourage you and others to keep risks in perspective and even take some chance in order to experience life to the fullest!
Great video man, loved it. Between the go-pro footage & the drone & your girl filming, tons of great angles. Never saw a video like it, getting out of the boat & fishing over a log?? 😂😂😂 freaking awsome.
You need a Twin Troller 10, Two 36 lb recessed trolling motors, foot pedal controlled, will spin 360 in 8 inches of water without moving forward or backward. You tube it Great mini Bass boat for spots just like that one. Most anglers stay out of the shallow water so the fish are yours for the taking. Love your channel. Better fisherman thanks to you.
Amazing vid. One advice: when you walk in mud, drag your feet instead of walking normal. This in case you find a stingray you don’t place your foot on top of her and ruin your day. That way you spook it and avoid a nasty sting. Greetings from Venezuela. House of big peacock bass
The waterway that he is fishing does not contain stingrays. Fresh water stingrays are comon in South America. Our fresh water ways dont usually contain fish or other marine life found in salt water for exception of some rare finds like snook, tarpon, redfish, and some species of sharks.
I'm a little late seeing this video, but what a hoot! Out of curiosity, the thing you keep calling a "wooded island" is a beaver lodge, isn't it? It looked like one from your boat perspective, but that drone footage was a dead giveaway with the deep channels coming in and out of it. They are opportunistic critters and may have started with a down tree as structure but they quickly made it their own! I do a lot of beaver trapping and I never tire of looking at the lodges and dams these things build. Amazing. And as destructive as they can be, they sure do create some pretty habitat as well! My only concern with seeing one in a favorite fishing hole is that where there are beavers, there will soon be otters. Otters are cute and fun to watch, but are voracious fish predators.
Absolutely incredible fishing footage! Great job, looks like lots of fun. Reminds me of days ole fishing Florida flats for reds & snook in shallow water.
I love nature and how nature has it's ways of doing things and it's fun when we anglers can figure out and actually see it in person how these fish live and eat!
New sub here! That is absolutely one of the best froggin’ vids I’ve ever seen! I can only imagine how fun it was to catch them toads repeatedly! Awesome stuff right there buddy!
Thank you! Thats my PB that I caught in february. I didn't have a scale on me but I'm guessing it was around 9. I have a video of the release on my channel.
Great upload....after it was over, had to lay down on the living room carpet and get my wife to jump up and down on my chest to get my heart goin' again....the slo mo was radical...Do another one of these,,,I'll get an oxygen tank delivered....
I notice you fish a lot of flouro line for your topwater. Just wondering why you don't use more braid, and what advantages you get from flourocarbon. Spectacular vid as well
BamaBass love the footage just paid a crazy 40 bucks for the bone color their sold out everywhere and I can't wait I'm currently crappie fishing in Nashville and the bass are schooling up Ive seen 12 largemouth trailing behind one another just waiting for me lol

Bamabass, can you do a bass fishing course for beginners?

Gotta love that top water bite. I'm surprised they're that shallow on a hot summer day
Why would you be surprised
Great camera work in this video, the drone shots are very cool.
Awesome Video man, you are one heck of a fisherman NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!!! #BringOnPart2
