you got to love that it's not crowded anywhere in this video and so chilled everywhere
If you come over don't come in the middle of summer, that will be too hot; come in the spring or late spring/early summer.
Your always so pleasant and positive ✨️
They are not Irish or Scottish. They are Welsh and are from Wales.
100% Welsh accent!
Oh, my family on my dad's side are from Southern Wales. I didn't pick it as anything but English. Then again, I am in Adelaide and not brought up there. Dad came out when he was 6 months old. I just think of Welsh as my aunty spoke it - very strong Welsh accent.
I was born in Sydney (actually Manly), but I now live in Adelaide. Every time I see videos or photos of Sydney Harbour, I feel a little homesick.
❤Me too, cruising Brisbane River at night, I have to say is gorgeous BUT Sydney is sooo beautiful 💖🤗
I understand that, I was living in friendly Wellington and was sad to leave and come back to busy Sydney! But when we flew over Sydney Harbour to the airport, and I saw the bridge etc in the bright sunshine, I cried with happiness! 😁
Because you are young you may not know this but Paul Hogan (aka Crocodile Dundee) was a painter/rigger on the Sydney Harbour Bridge well before he got into show business.
Come on. One of you tech heads can organise a gofundme to get our mate and his family over for a visit. I havent come across a more respectful pleasant and chill person on youtube. His smile and enjoyment for learning is inspiring. Thanks for your great content. That often swells me with pride.
Just pack your swag & come on down, tell Aussie people you’re coming, a lot will offer you a spare room or the lounge room floor for free, (bring an air mattress).
Most Aussies would be happy to show you places around town, that’ll help keep the price down.
Like that pommy bloke said on a recent video you posted……..just do it!
The orange and yellow vessels going backwards and forwards across the harbour are ferries; water buses from one part of Sydney to another.
When I moved back to Sydney after 25 years in the uk, the first time I seen that skyline again gave me goosebumps. I’m a westy (from the western suburbs of Sydney) but that skyline has always meant home for me. Believe it not you can actually see it from the blue mountains on a clear day (45miles west). You can usually see the bridge and center point tower, the big round tower they showed you at the beginning of the video. 😊
Sydney Harbour really is one of the prettiest you'll ever see
❤ the Welsh and their accent and Wales is such a beautiful country❤.
You do know this vids about AUSTRALIA 🇭🇲🦘, right? 🤣
Yes def Welsh, that lilting cadence is the tell
If you and Dar are serious about doing an Aussie trip, you all need to do it together man. You'll be able to spread the cost of things like air BnB stays and so on and make some great savings. It will be much cheaper all round doing together than doing separately.
Sometimes I take Sydney's beauty for granted and I seem to go into the Harbour area less and less! I think it's time for another ferry ride to Manly for sure, maybe on Friday! 🙋👍
I love sydney so much, it's like a dream compared to south australia where i grew up. I'm staying here until my body literally breaks down and I can't work anymore 😁
Mate I'm in Adelaide Souyh Australia. Its our 5th night in a row of 5 degrees celcius. I know thats kinda mild for the rest of the world. But man it feels cold to an Aussie.
They're watching a sunset and I'm sitting here watching a thunderstorm roll in, again. How are go going to get here, come by yourself or are you just going to stun Macca and say "She's just carry on luggage" seeing as she freaks at flying.
You should buy now Neil knows your way around Sydney by now. 😉
Accent sounds like Welsh.
welsh
wdazza is right, but don't feel bad mate, to foreign ears, they sound a little bit alike, so do the geordies from Newcastle which I think is in the north of England. You should try to find a video of Jimmy Carr doing accents. He does the welsh accent and it's hilarious. Hopefully someone can help us out with the title of the video
She sounds English & he Irish.
The music you think you need to mute you really don't have to because it's TH-cam music from the TH-cam music app, it's all good to play.
😎👍
They're both Welsh
@@lynndally9160
Yeah i was thinking that aswell. Cheers mate 👍
Carpe diem my friend
You and McKenzie need to get your arses into gear and come on over, the you tube views will pay for your holiday
They sound British to me. Not Scottish and Not Irish. Not from England myself but definitely English accent.
Mate, if there's one place to visit in Australia, it's Sydney. But let it be known, go beyond the water and it's not so good looking.
Until you get into the Blue Mountains behind Sydney.
Really? I’m in a typical Sydney suburb. Surrounded by perfectly maintained parks, fantastic transport (brand new light rail system, great shopping, medical centres, great schools, it’s clean its safe etc. what part of Sydney are you from? Me, hills district
The west is not as 'pretty', but it's where the real people, the majority of Sydney's population, the people who actually produce most of its wealth, work and live. It's not just an expensive touristy tinsel town. It leaves the 'ordinary' suburbs of most major world cities far behind. Lots of parklands, reasonable public transport, easy access to small shopping centres and larger malls. And space; lots of space to live and grow. It has genuine diversity, plenty of schools, hospitals, and services.
I'm within a 10 minute walk of almost everything I need, with great neighbours, in a residence that is a small fraction of the cost of a harbour view. I wasn't born there and I've lived in prettier places; like Vaucluse, Strathfield and the northern beaches (and equivalents in other cities); but I prefer the west, especially its people who are pragmatic and authentic (as opposed to shallow, 'old money' snobs, in a cramped urbanity, comparing their property portfolios)
In many ways the Blue Mountains are more impressive than the harbour. Think 'Grand Canyon' covered in forest. It is a place of huge natural beauty, to some extent spoiled by the people who live there. Up until the 1960s you could still drink the water in creeks there, but the drainage from the urban development along its plateaus has long since stopped that. Ideally it should be gradually depopulated. It's a place people should be able to visit, but not permanently live. Oddly, its inhabitants think they are so 'environmentally aware' and 'love the bush', while being the main contributors to it being sullied. World Heritage areas should not be so dominated by the planet's most feral species.
There are also less well known places that are also quite beautiful, around Royal National Park, along the Hawkesbury (which has sections reminiscent of parts of the Rhine, without the castles), the awesome wilderness of the Wollemi (how the Blue Mtns should also be like) and the Capertee Valley, idyllic villages in and around Camden, the backwoods north of Wiseman's ferry, the southern highlands, the Central Coast, etc.
The centre of Sydney is actually well west of the CBD, a bit SW of Olympic Park (another under-rated area). But the harbour city is such eye candy it's blinded most people to just how beautiful so much of what surrounds it is. It's as if tourists to (the utterly awesome) Colorado USA would rave about how beautiful the place is, without actually venturing out of the prettier parts of Denver.
@@Glenn-ei3xpit's doggy in some places but it's only doggy in comparison to other Aussie cities.
Am not the biggest fan of Sydney as a Perth guy, but I'd like the ground in Sydney before I'd step on it in London
I'd put you and your girlfriend up in Sydney for a week or two. I got a spare room. Im 10mins from airport, close to trains and buses. Me and the family could show you around. Reach out if you decide to come
Goodonya mate, I'm sure if he put the feelers out he'd get offers to cover a 6 months break. But you know how tight the employers are in the US about holidays.
Still, very generous of you.
I could do more but I assume after weeks in Sydney you might wanna go see melb, bri, adel , canberra, alice, cairns, darwin, hobart, perth , broome etc. lol@@grahamyates2490
I think the girl is Welsh , i take Sydney for granted lived here all my life , but i like to hide over the big hill to get away from it
They do not sound Irish to me. Sound like full on Poms to me, which means from England in my mind. But I find it harder to work out the difference in Welsh and English accent so if they were Welsh that would make sense to me too as rarely can I tell a Welsh person from an English person. Irish and Scottish sounds very different to my ears. Put it this way, neither of them sound like Billy Connolly from Scotland or Dave Allen from Ireland to my ears that are some of my favourite persons from those two nations. I will be blown down with a feather if at end of video I find they from either of those nations
They're Welsh.
@@grahamyates2490 Freddie Flintoff from those neck of the woods too?
@@shaundgb7367 no, Freddie's from Lancashire in the NW of England. Different accent altogether.
I would have enjoyed that if they spoke English mate. 😮😮😮
I'm thinking maybe Scottish accent, but I could be wrong
Definitely Welsh
Dream Team Neal you and your partner need to come to Australia. You will both have a wonderful time and be welcomed with open arms. Australia is not perfect but we do have some amazing places to visit and explore. Don't spend all your time in the cities but get out into the countryside/bush as well. There is too much to see so don't try to do it in one trip. Pick your spots and come back again.
I'm actually disappointed with their video. As someone who lived in Sydney for 38 years, there's a lot more to see than the same 3 things repeated over and over.
It was only their first day here,,,,, I'm sure they would have follow up videos of other places, if you check out their channel, just guessing
I hope so because they seem like a cool couple.
@@aussiebornandbred
They have 3 Sydney (including Blue Mts) videos on their channel, so you could go there and watch them (use the link in the description). They also traveled to many other places in Australia.
Take a ferry ride to Manly. You will never forget it.
The further out from the major cities you travel the better and more authentic Australia will become for you - born and bred for several decades in Sydney... or could be outside is more authentic to my childhood. Depends what you want I guess.
... Sydney is little different to a hundred other major cities in the world now.
Mate, if there's one place to visit in Australia, it's Sydney. But let it be known, go beyond the water and it's not so good looking.
