Krusty's Super Fun House is the only Simpsons game I owned until The Simpsons Game in 2007. I did rent Bart's Nightmare and Bart vs the Space Mutants as a little Simpsons maniac, but they were both too bad to want to own, even as a little kid.
It's strange how the Simpsons, a popular IP, always had these very experimental games in at least the first two generations. Bart Vs. the World, by far the most straightforward entry of the era, is the best Simpsons game from that time.
Yeah, Acclaim clearly thought they didn't have to put much effort into it since it was The Simpsons...come to think of it...has there ever been a great Simpsons game(other than the Konami arcade game)?
I've tried the 8-bit and 16-bit console versions of Krusty's Fun House and of them all, the Mega Drive one is the best as far as controls, sound and resolution, the SNES comes second, but the sprites are a bit off, probably due to the lower resolution and the sound isn't as iconic, maybe too muffled and the gameplay isn't as tight. The NES looks like a joke and while the Master System looks almost as good as the Genesis one, its sound design will drain your brain power and soul. This is a game which I wouldn't mind to go through thousands of levels, maybe if the hacking community managed to create that, since this game is so addicting, I wonder how many other kids enjoyed and specially still enjoy this game as much.
I have to wonder if this show shall last 10 years. I hope it does. It's too early to make promises, but i wonder if in 2030 "Now in the 90s" shall become about games 40 years ago today, or become a spin-off of itself in the 2000's decade.

oh ... I completly forgot about spacefootball , I had that game back in the days. it was weird but rather fun.
Lemmings and Nintendo were so much my childhood it feels weird that this is how I found out Lemmings had a Nintendo Power cover.
Ballblazer was also on the Atari 5200 before the 7800 and was a very good game as well.

I watched the Simpsons as a kid but I don't think I have ever actually played a Simpsons game.
Of course Simpsons didn't predict Rocket League. They predicted Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, the prequel to Rocket League.

@@mattm7798 Hit and Run is generally well regarded. But it is basically a Rated-T version of GTA.

I actually have Bart vs the Space Mutants because I have a Sega Master System and yeah the game is quite hard.

Warrior of Rome 2 is my favorite genesis game. I've definitely put hundreds of hours into it.
I had Krusty's Super Fun House and it was a pretty good game. Certainly better than other Simpsons games of the time.
