Rob, you need to put a ring on her finger. You all work together great and make a cut couple. You will never find another like her again, son. Thanks to you both for great videos. Finish the splash well please and the mounting of control's and the motor.
You guys are awesome! I have recently picked up an Aristocrat that i am trying to save from the dump. I was a littler nervous going into the project because i don't have a ton of fiberglass experience. Watching your videos i have learned a ton and its gotten me pumped up to move forward with it. Thanks for sharing your adventures and knowledge!
What an incredible project this has been so far. As a suggestion for when you pick this back up, V groove out the cut line from the top, Thickened glass and resin fill in, then colour (Canadian spelling) match and spray in some gel coat white, then clear. There is an air dry wax that can be added to the top layer that will allow it to cure in open air. I have never attempted this myself, but I was talking about it with my composite supplier when I was doing my project boat. Looking forward to seeing this finished. Thank you both for taking the time to share this journey with all of us. I've truly enjoyed it.
i cant Waite until u bolt outboard on ......be very interesting......if that design hull will take a genuine 80mph ....with out chime walking ?...watching from Austraila where our boating season getting going .summer at last..........ive purchased a pride cheetah 16 speed boat has a old mercury inline 150hp merc on which i never had it running as yet or boat on water ....would hope it pulls around 50 mph on water .....enjoying my other 2 boats at present they only top out at 35mph on water ......allways looking to go a lot faster on water love classic 70s and 80s speed boats ...your sleek craft comming up the goods all the hard work has payed of for u guys awesome keep it up.......
Excellent job on the sleek craft think about just putting the back seat in with two lite bucket seats up front it will be a fast boat with any v6 mine was specially made by Bruce was 750 lbs dry no motor would run 95+ but be careful they will blow over it is very safe at 80 to low 90’s but getting to close the the triple digits it will need work done to the bottom pad Stay safe and really enjoyed watching you put it back together looking forward to some more videos you and your girl are actually good at fiberglass loved seeing it come together
Thanks Kevin! I’m aiming for 80mph and if I can get more than that awesome. Might have something really really exciting in the works for more power, eventually.
Just came across your channel due to the boat stuff. Great vids! Subscribed! Wondering when we can expect another on this boat? Also, sled content IS cool!
Soon! It’s summer so it’s time to get wet. Right now I’m in the Rockies working on the cheapest bus conversion in the country. Also have 911 to finish and who knows what else I hop around a lot. 😆
I was really hoping you guys would of finished the back plug fiber glassing and painting etc I went through all the videos to see how you were going to finish it . Really bummed cant believe you dumped it at the end and left us hanging 🤔🤔
I'm currently looking at a 1978 aristocrat that'll need a whole transom rebuild like this. I'm loving the series because I have very little boat knowledge. Where are the new episodes?
A lot. At least 50% lighter than plywood but it really depends on the cloth weight and how many layers you put on it. I did a light layup so maybe 70% weight savings compared to plywood
I think I’m going to do two layers of chop mat and two layers of 1708 . I am putting my order together first of the year. I thought about making a video but I’m not too savvy in the editing department.
I have to say that Sarah is an Awesome HELPER👍
Texas sized 10-4

That’s what it’s all about man! Dive in and just keep making small progress. 🤙
Love the logic of not doing the “TH-cam” thing. Bad ass boat. Working on one right now as the winter project
You must have a huge garage to do this indoors!

Thanks man! Pretty excited and a bit … afraid? 😆
Please don’t leave us hanging on this project. Ya’ll are an excellent team. You have gone too far not to finish.
My Sunday wouldn't be complete without a new installment.
Thanks!! ;)
PS: this episode feels very familiar. Haha.

Do y’all still have this project? I have followed all episodes for this one. Y’all have inspired me and I did a transom on my bay boat.

Tackling stuff you've never done before is how you learn!

I had a 85 sleek mod vp. Center steering. Mike Basso and Stephen Bowen high stringer design.

@@ADDvanced all good, loving the content!
Is this the last episode? Surely winter is over and its time to get back to work on this project?
I would really love to see this boat finished, with the outboard and they whole nine yards. I gotta know if you hit 80 or not!!
Stay tuned, will be getting after it in a few months
Me too

Being recorded
when this project is going to continue? can't wait :)
Soon. Snow just melted.
Also waiting for new videos. Looking at getting one of these that needs all the same work done to it.
How much weight do you think you have saved using the honeycomb? I am getting ready to do this to my center console project. Keep up the great work!

@@craigdwyer1885 A timelapse is pretty easy, just throw a camera on a tripod and have it take a photo every other second or so.
Did you finish this project?
I don't finish anything. But no it's on hold til next season, seats aren't ready, and now I have a ceebee avenger to dial in before fall hits.
Is this the last video? Say it isn't so.... Nooooooooo.......
Did an update on last week's video, and another update coming tomorrow morning. Sorry my playlists are super disorganized.
