- Install AVS In-Channel Window Vent Visors in a 2015 to 2021 Ford F-150 Supercrew with no bounceback problems. The key to a trouble-free installation is in getting the visor tabs installed correctly. If you follow these instructions, you won't have any trouble with window bounce back.

Window Visors 2015 - 2021 Ford F-150 F150
I was anxious after seeing a lot of negative ratings and reviews. I followed what you did and had 0 issues. Goes to show that not everyone does their due diligence. Thanks a lot! Took me all of 15 minutes.
I'm glad it went well! Thanks for watching!
Honestly I was frustrated because of the tabs until I saw your video. I was able to put them in the right spots after watching this! Thank you for the help!
Thanks for watching, Les! Those tabs are exactly the reason I made this video. I got aggravated with them, did a bit more research etc and got it sorted out. I'm glad it helped you! Thanks again!
Your are the only one explained that one side should go under door frame .. i was struggling for half and then i watched your video.. thanks 0:49
Thank you for watching! I'm glad this helped!
Just installed a set of these on my 22 SCREW. Despite all the negative comments about bounceback, I figured it can't happen to me right??? Wrong, windows wouldn't go up by themselves after days of letting them settle in the window channels. Found this video and I was able to ease the tabs into the proper spots without the adhesive tape coming unstuck. Maybe only possible cause mine are brand new and the visors and plastic trim are still pretty flexible, dunno? But they go up automatically now!! Thanks for the awesome tip and video!!
I'm glad this helped, Dave! Thanks for watching!
My windows creak now yay from the in channel window visors
Good job man. Your video was the only one I needed to see to know how to do this properly. Thanks
I'm glad this helped!! Thank you for watching!
I really appreciate this video, I was having an awful time with bounce back, but no now on my 2015 lariat
I'm glad this helped! Thanks for watching!
Wow, thanks for the video! I saw one where he had to remove the side mirror.
Thanks for watching, John!
Nice video. I am considering these because Weathertech says theirs do not work with 2022 F-150 and they are half the price (comparing older Weathertech eg. 2020 model). Not sure why these work with 2015-2022 but Weathertech will not and their last compatible model was for 2020 F-150. For those who were/are confused about the channels these slide into, it actually states this in the manual... however it is still nice to see someone actually do it. I see most complaints in reviews about bounceback and this is probably the case because didn't read the instructions:
For Front:
Insert visor into window channel. Front and rear flanges
insert between the rubber trim and the mirror cap / door
frame. Top flange slides into the window channel.
For Rear:
Install the rear visors using the same preparation and installation methods as the front visor. Note
that the rear flange slides into the window channel, and the front flange fits between the post and
window trim.
That's exactly why I made this video, so many people have problems with bounceback because they didn't understand how to insert those tabs. Thank you for watching, Brian!
Good video, and nice to see it being done on the same truck ive got. Had to watch a video to make sure I was doing the front window's back tab correctly with the way it was pushing on the rubber/gasket stuff. Very informative!
Thank you for watching, Sam!
These AVS brand visors have really good reviews. Can't beat the price it seems. I was first looking at the weathertech but seems like these AVS will do just fine. I ordered them from Amazon for my 2015 Expedition and they came in late tonight so I'm gonna install them tomorrow after work.
Thank you for watching, Ronny!
@Dennis Coffey Thx for the video. As mentioned I got them and installed them on my 2015 Ford Expedition. Followed your instructions and 0 problems with install, bounceback or anything. Since I have them I'm driving daily on our Freeways around Phoenix AZ (speeds exceeding 80mph😂) and they are rock solid. Even had a few heavy rainstorms in the past weeks since install. No issues at all.
@@yourAVGconsumer Nice! I've had the same experience. I love mine.
Hi Dennis, great explanation 👍. So you did this video several months ago, I've read dozens of bad reviews stating that within a couple of months their avs shades either fell out or broke. How's your holding up?
Thanks in advance and great job on your video.
Thank you and thanks for watching! I haven't had any problems or complaints with mine. They've stayed in place well and have given me no trouble.
I wish you'd have had this video out about a year ago when I put these on my F-150. I didn't know about the tab placement, so of course I have the bounce back problem. I don't know if I can fix it now or not. May have to get a new set. Thanks for the information though.
Thanks for watching, Sam! Seems that's the biggest issue with these....I just got my visors for Christmas for my new-to-me 2018 F-150. Hope you can fix it.
Same here! They were annoying the hell out of me! So just took them off. Now time to get some new 3m and try it this way!
A very professional and thorough video. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent tutorial.
Thank you for watching, Walter!
Best informational video I have seen about these. Thank you 👍🏼
Thank you, Max! I appreciate you watching!
Excellent! I'm planning on installing these on my F150.

Thank you for watching, Ryan!
thanks great easy to follow and more importantly see exactly what to to
Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for the video sir you make it easy for me on my truck🙏🏽
That's great! Thanks for watching!
Dennis - a question: would the adhesive section adhere to the weather stripping or to the door? Meaning adhere to the door frame in front of the stripping.
A great video again. Thank you for all of your videos.
Thanks for watching! It actually sticks to the rubber strip.....the visor goes into the same channel that the window glass goes into. I hope that helps!
@@dwcoffey Happy Fathers Day

Thank you so much, Chris!
Great video and explanation. Thank you!
Thanks for watching, Alfonso!
Nice video. Do you have any wind noise issues with these?
Thanks for watching! I haven't had any problems with wind noise or otherwise with these. I love them.
Dennis,
Great video and very informative, step by step procedures.
I’m still looking at these but haven’t committed to a manufacturer yet.
Did you ever find out what those rear Window clips were?
I don’t have them on my 18’
S-Crew. They look like clips from other window guards. Some manufacturers use clips on the rear ones.
Thanks in advance and keep the info coming 👍
Thank you for watching! That's interesting...mine is also an '18 SCrew. You might be right, they might be from a previous install. I am the 2nd owner of this truck, so the previous owner could have had visors on there. thanks!
Good installation video, helped a lot with installation Thanks
Thank you for watching!
Great video, very helpful
Thank you for watching, Matthew!
How have they held up over the year? Any issues?
No problems at all and they still look great! Thanks for watching!
Trying these in a couple of days🤞🤞
Good informative video!!
I hope it went well! Thanks for watching!
Perfect video 👏 great video voice lol thanks
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching!
Well done!
Thanks for watching!
Good viedo , thank you
Thank you for watching, David!
I followed your instructions and did not have the success that you had. On the driver's side in the upper right hand corner if you put the tab between the frame nd the channel those two points are at different levels and it's not like using the complete channel. Similar on the passenger side. I'd like to know what I did wrong should I decide to attempt this again. I say again because I returned the avs vents shades as I could never resolve my bounce back problem.
Thanks for watching, John! On mine, the tab went between the rubber weatherstrip and the cover cap (exterior piece). The tab isn't 100% engaged behind that cap, but it is about 80% behind it and stays put with no issue. None of the tabs should go into the window channel, that will surely cause bounce-back. I hope that helps!
Are these the low profile or just the regular ones?
Mine are low profile. Install is the same on the regular. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this very informative video, well done. I will be installing mine this weekend.
