you can see that it's being hit. see, lemme explain something. when you hit something really hard with, say a metal rod, that doesn't break or bend, the rod's gonna bounce back. since this hammer is smaller and thus quicker to swing, the bounces happen at a more rapid speed. you can actually see evidence that the hammer did in fact make contact, and not just from the sounds. if someone "womp womp"s me, it's because they're too lazy to read this whole message.

It's for people who work in with heavy equipment. I use em so I don't smack my toes with an axe on accident while logging or drop my chainsaw on my foot. Or, ya know, drop a huge log on my toes. All of those would be about the equivalent of someone smashing your toes with a hammer so yeah this is pretty necessary safety equipment.
