    I was in your live chat yesterday and you opened up about your stresses, anxieties, and the overwhelming support and hate. I didn't realize these were things you struggled with because you were always so upbeat and positive. Please don't be so hard on yourself. We deeply appreciate all the content you put out. At the end of the day, what matters most is being good enough for yourself and setting out to do things that lives rent free in your heart.

      I couldn’t agree more, people go their whole lives with the regret of not trying, not traveling, or not feeling fulfilled. I can speak for many, you help inspire people to get out and go. Even if it’s just on a short ride or some where new.

    I am here for the inspiration to live life larger and the message that the world and the people in it are not nearly as dangerous as I thought. I live in the US, was thinking of visiting Ecuador with the possibility of moving there. That's how I found this channel, it was posted on a Ecuador expat channel when Itchy Boots was there in January. I've watched all but a very few of the 418 episodes. My plan is now to put some stuff in storage, sell my house that doesn't fit me anymore and get out in the world without the worry of what is going on with my home. It's easy to see that Noraly is the perfect medicine for me right now. Thank you, Noraly!

      @@donminecuador6044 If I were guessing I would say June would be my month too. It will be how long it takes to get my stuff down to where it fits in a 10x20 storage unit and getting the house in shape to sell. Last week, one house very near me went pending in 7 days another in 2 so quick to sell, the closing may take longer. I'm planning to start in Olon. Do you have a locale picked out?

    • @donminecuador6044
      @donminecuador6044 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jerrym3261 I don't have a house to sell, but I have a lifetime of stuff to sell, and it's going slowly - very slowly. Putting stuff in storage is like putting good money after bad. I know because I've been doing it for many years. 🤣
      It is great that you have a house to sell. Prices are insanely high and not sustainable IMHO. So you are probably getting out at just the right time. Good luck!
      I've all but decided to start out in Cuenca and hope that I don't have a problem with elevation sickness. If that doesn't work out, I might try Loja. I want to live where there is excellent public infrastructure and everything I need is an easy commute. Also, healthcare is an issue, as is fluency in Spanish so that limits my choices. For a long time, I considered Manta but I think it is too small and frankly, I've had my fill of heat and humidity.

      @jerrym3261 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@donminecuador6044 I have lived on the beach and know I can be quite entertained sitting/ walking on the beach. I might consider moving to elevation for the climate knowing the beach is a short motorcycle ride away. I recently got the idea that the tourist visa you get when you get off the plane is good for 90 days in a rolling 365 days so, you can suspend your 90 days. I could stay in Ecuador 40 days, go to a different country and come back to Ecuador with 50 days left. I'm thinking to maybe look at Nigaragua, Panama, Costa Rico, maybe others before I commit to getting a visa in one of them. As far as stuff, there's very little my son will want when I'm gone and there is very little I use or even see often. For example, I have 11 motorcycles but, most of them sit unused. I'm only getting a storage space in case I end up back home. I like having options. I did learn from Dr Robert Holden to ask myself, what do I need right now to find my happiness? The answer is always, nothing. IHTH

    One of the BEST episodes! First, your skills riding on "rípio" (volcanica ash) is amazing! Then, the board down with all that fun. Great images, nice video!

    THAT was a cool experience! Loved the squeals of delight on a yellow board!
    How weird did it feel driving Alaska thru the restaurant with patrons sitting at the tables you were driving by? You're really good at getting the nectar out of life! Great filming!

    At age ten or so, ca. 1950, I climbed Red Lake Peak (10,063 ft), just south of Carson Pass (Hwy 89) at the ridge of the Sierra Mtn range. It is a former volcano, and had similar soft pumice like slopes. I did not slide down but ran down with my older brother. At that age, I was too young to be frightened but could not do it today (age 81).

    I still can't get over every time one of the hotels has you park the bike in the lobby/restaurant, it's always hilarious to see a fully geared up Noraly and Alaska riding through a crowded bar XD
    Also Noraly just casually talking about an _active volcano_ while walking on top of it... and then sliding down it. Amazing!

    I was in Nicaragua in 2010 and at this time, many people still suffered a lot because of the earthquake and the civil war. As it seems, many things changed in a positive way since that. The houses, streets and so on look much better now and the people seem to be also more relaxed. Very interesting to see that now!

    You are truly living life to the fullest.
