ive had eze since gameweek 1, and hes been an absolute gem because i have my fpl team on 'the sun dream team' app (as my family's league is on there) instead of the fpl everyone else uses. eze is one of the higher scorers because theyre a lot more lenient with how points are awarded. gotten me 29 points (with 15 being just from this week because of the double game week as they count the cup tournaments on the sun) and nobody else in the league has him. clutch player for me haha

See, this season in comparison to most FPL's season's is the one where value matter's perhaps the 'least' due to the amount of good cheap players. Yet, im in a position to go against my thoughts and take a hit on Eze and Gabriel to get in Cash and Sterling before money rises. Gabriel's and Eze's price drop with 0 returns just isn't doing it, even with Eze's good stats. I feel like FOMO is increased with attacking defenders because of the added extra time it's going to be better going for them rather than chasing clean sheets with teams who aren't Man City. Attacking players like Diaby over Eze is the better option imo.

That is, the data suggests that his expected attacking output would largely continue at a more or less similar rate. I would tend to agree with you on this point - of course, Estupinan will likely not get 38 attacking returns this season. However, would the main point not be the different ‘routes to returns’ that he possesses? In the same way that we look at the attacking data and say ‘this is not sustainable’ for Estupinan to continue, is that not the same with the defensive data? Yes, his attacking output might dry up, but also it seems unlikely that Brighton will concede in all 38 matches, right? That is, altho the data suggests that his attacking output will continue and Brighton’s defence has been bad, we know how quickly things can change in this game. I hope I’ve explained that well! But anyway, He’s the easiest hold of all time for me.

IMO Eze is affected by no Olise who also offers a threat for Palace ... a lot easier to focus on shutting 1 down

Yeah, a sample size of 3 gameweeks is just not good enough. Halve those players simply have 1 outlier as a score that propels them up the ranks
