Both neto and bailey were budget enablers though. I would be fine if mitoma or mbeumo flops this season as long as rashford and Saka get their points
@@Kvh47 but almost half or more of the players have these players so they are not going to make it cost you many points it’s the differentials who give us the edge anyway yeah majority of teams will be similar but whoever we choose just take them without having to be told by content creators and things make your own decisions and stand by them buddy 👍
@@james.m1086 The differentials is probably where you will get behind on because you're are purposefully picking suboptimal players just to be different.
81% for mine cos I have 5 template players and the algorithm discounts the chance for anyone outside of the template to produce.Last season Rashford & Mitoma/March/Gross would have been nowhere near AI's GW1 template
I had that issue with Rodrigo and Rashford. Demarai Gray the season before. People become obsessed with last season and choose to ignore the new landscape. Some really niced priced mids that are being overlooked because of Mitoma and Mbuemo. Decent if you are willing to back yourself
I think people pay far too much attention to the AI predicted points models anyway. If you look at the total predicted points for any 11 players any week, then look at the total they actually get between them. They always get less in total in reality.
I believe we all have Pickford in goal just for the start, because we need to see what happens with Brentford and the Raya/Flekken situation. Same as the Brighton one with Steele and Verbruggen. Tottenham's Vicario we need to see play a few matches first. Jose Sa could be going to Forest, so they could be getting Kelleher (4.0), but we need to see how that goes first . It's all over the place with the keepers at the minute. And Pickford out of all the 4,5 keepers is the safest pick for minutes for GW1. He is more of a place holder until the other teams figure it out.

Also, Guaita - Johnstone for first choice at Palace, Fabienski - Areola for first choice at West Ham. I believe many of us just want 4.5m for a Goalkeeper, then only Pickford and Leno are completed clearly nailed atm (Fabienski is also the option here because we all have Areola as 4.0m, West Ham 1st GK is not a matter anyway).
Thankfully, Flekken just confirmed with press that he was promised to be the first choice before transferring to Brentford.
@@dlnavy3406 nice! thanks for that info btw:) ..probably Raya will go , it's just a bit unfortunate for him that Brentford are asking for 40mil and nobody is willing to pay that, so they move for other keepers and he is left stranded
@@dlnavy3406Thanks for that Flekken info. He is in my team for sure. Unless one of the keepers at the big teams gets injured for more than a few weeks, as most of the 2nd choice keepers are 4.0m.

Pickford got 5 clean sheets under Dyche in 18 games as well as a penalty save. All of those clean sheets were when Doucoure was also playing. (We fell apart without him). With a whole preseason to practice Dycheball, we could get a lot more clean sheets

I've gone with the template but adding some differential picks such as Ndiaye, Ake, Baldock and Maddison. Got a team rating of 93% though so I'm happy with that.

Interesting concept...rating different content creators' teams together.
Using the FFH RMT tool I have a 100% team rating, 99% GW1 rating with 71.2 predicted points. I hope I have the nerve to stick with this team for the next few weeks.

TH-camr man (Andy) tells me Pickford, I pick Pickford. TH-camr man tells me Maguire, I pick Maguire. Never question the TH-camr.

There's nothing brutal about it at all.
Good to have you back for another season Dan. In same way you don’t get Pickford, I don’t get Jesus??? We all went for him start of last year and he was not returning! He’s not a good finisher and will be so hot and cold as usual. You might get occasional hails but in between lots of blanks and injuries. Can’t see what will change in that??

The Kepa slander feels unwarranted. He was very good last season in an FPL sense and Chelsea have great fixtures. Not to mention, he’s a cheaper and safer way into that back like than James and Chilwell
Don't really understand Pickford choice too. I will rotate my goalkeepers, so I'm trying to choose 1 of 2 in each pare (Martinez - Flekken, Johnstone - Areola)

Got a team rating of 94%. Rather template team, with a couple of small differences.
Gk - Fabianski, Areola
Def - TAA, Gabriel, Estupinan, Botman, Beyer
Mid - Rashford, Saka, Foden, Mbeumo, March
For - Haaland, Jesus, Archer.
Keep switching between Mbeumo/Jesus or Wissa/Martinelli. Still got a few preseason matches to keep an eye on, and some transfer rumours. If Man U can’t finalise their keeper issue, would that mean Henderson would be their No.1?

Using the tool with my current team I sit at 92% with predicted 65 points. I do have a few punty players on the bench that could either make or break me.

GK: Pickford Areola (Currently awaiting news on James Trafford to Burnley)
DF: TAA Estupinian Saliba Akanji Bell
MF: Odegaard Martinelli Grealish Mitoma Mbeumo
FW: Haaland Ferguson Adebayo
Saliba, Akanji, and Adebayo can all be dropped to a 4.5 (or 4.0), something like Mings Botman and a 4.5 striker
This gives me 4.0 ITB to upgrade Odegaard into a Salah
Keep an eye on mitrovic to Saudi & Willian if he goes elsewhere I can see Fulham being one of the worst for scoring goals this season & in real trouble of the drop.
With that I’d be all over tarkowski for gw 1 & he rotates well with forrest/Villa defenders for gw’s 2/5

I'm on Salah. Means no Trent. Pick your poison. They both have a high ceiling. I personally feel Salah goals will be more consistent than Liverpool clean sheets. Unpopular opinion, though.
@@jbsmith8848idk our midfield is way better now and Trent plays that inverted role more potential for assists. And then salahs price is just a bit too premium considering we’re all gonna have Haaland so salah isn’t getting captained most weeks.
Why are they advising to buy Mbeumo if the first two rounds are not favorable? I'd rather buy it for the third round...
Pickford is being picked because he’s the only 4.5mil keeper that has guaranteed game time with no real competition to his spot. Steele has competition now with the new signing and so does fleken. Personally I’m happy to play fleken first week instead because I think Bournemouth are the more defensively sound team and it could work wonders if he does start but if he’s not getting started then I’ll have to switch to Pickford

95% Team rating, 67.6 predicted points. Very happy with my GW1 draft, pre season and transfers could change things. Balogun is one to watch, if he gets a PL move he's going to be an FPL legend.

Thats true, we will have to wait and see. Although, Flekken was promised to be No.1 choice keeper of Brentford before he joined so we should wait for pre-season. I have the same dilemma as you.

Instead of the constant surprise on Pickford, would have been better to reason why so many have him.
Decent fixtures, expect under dyche they will be more defensively sound and good save points for pulling them off 👍 guaranteed half them do not start with him though

Barely seen any players outside of the normal top 6 and Brighton/Brentford. When people pick the Everton goalkeeper, he's like hell nah. Pick the new Brentford one.
I dont really get the botman pick, i know hes gonna be on the bench for 3/4 games but with high ownership, casuals might start him in the early tough games and then his price could drop by .1million, which by then hes a good pickup as the fixtures get better
Great video Dan. Yep they’ve all lost their marbles picking Pickford. Is it because he is the England Keeper??!! Misguided loyalty. Sterling won’t be worthy, Foden could be a dark horse handy pick. Most teams looking solid though.

Pickford isn't a terrible choice to start the season Dan.
He finished 9th for points, and 3rd of the keepers who are 4.5m this season. Of those 3, Everton have a much better start fixture wise than West Ham or Fulham. Unless Raya leaves Brentford, Pickford is best choice of the 4.5m keepers.
There are a lot of 4.0m back up keepers at the top clubs, so if say an Ederson gets injured for a few months, we'll all have the same 4.0m starting keeper.
I love both you and your content Dan, but I have to call you out (I don't disagree with you Pickford is most certainly not an ideal or exciting choice for a goalkeeper) but you said he doesn't get a lot of save points but he did finish 3rd for saves last year, 9th overall total points for goalkeepers and the only 4.5 goalkeepers were Fabianski and Leno finished higher than him

A pretty resounding sweep of content creaters trolling the GK position with Pickford. Great fixtures but a rubbish team when there is Crystal Palace, Brighton or Brentford (presuming Raya leaves) with good 4.5M options, decent fixtures and significantly better defences.

Pickford, is nailed, playing for a team that doesn't score many, has the best fixtures of the playing 4.5s up until the first wildcard. Until one of the other 4.5s comes forward in pre season, Pickford is the only real choice.

Here's a shocking stat for you. No City defender got over 100 pts last season! They're aren't as great an option as most people tend to think.
