I spoke about this recently, I quit social media but ended up just watching more TH-cam and listening to more podcasts. Great video, a lot of great points 👌
I feel called out lol I deleted mine about a year ago and I'm super guilty of doing exactly that, just spending that time on youtube instead. I thought I was better than everyone else, but noooope. Thanks for the slap in the face, I needed it. I'll sub to you anyways though.
I quit once in 2016, came back in 2018, and left for for good in 2020. I can list only one thing I miss: Losing touch with family and friends who only use social media to communicate. There has been some boredom, and feeling cut off, but it's not really that different from the pre-Internet era. The things I don't miss are: Feeling overwhelmed in an sea of posts and memes that in the end don't matter. People who rage to hide their unhappiness and are venting their spleen at every chance. Psychotic Leftists who if you draw their ire want to dig through anything you have online to ruin your life and get you fired. Criminals, scammers, stalkers and crazy people all over. Corporations telling you what to think and parsing all your posts for marketing data. No more group think "Post this or you're racist or sexist" memes. Everyone from all walks of your life from your job to school showing up all at once. The best benefit is privacy, peace of mind and feeling comfortable in my own skin.
I deleted mine and focus my free time on reading actual books (over time, my attention span got better so I can read for hours at a time, but it started at 5-10 min bursts), listening to podcasts, learning new things, and occasionally gaming if I get a free hour or so to do that. But the amount of time spent gaming is nothing compared to how much I wasted on social media, and unlike social media, I don't game every day
@@samszuchan no problem sir. You just motivated me to do more home jobs for money. I did some things at home I almost forgot after watching this video! Thank you.
idk why but i feel if i deleted social media there isnt much more left...like disconnection from friends , thinking that i would be left behind , and even that no would care if i delete my socials or no... so i wanna ask what can i do about these thoughts like being sacred of loneliness " I would Appreciate a reply brother❤"
I would like to know your thoughts about failing at something. It is like you really invest your time, your energy, you even sacrifice important things but still can't get what you want.. And in the end, you think that I tried hard why didn't it work? Maybe I am just weak? In conclusion how to forgive yourself after you fail.. btw Thank you so much for this video, I quit social media years ago and never regret it 🙏
your mistakes made you who you are right now and after you fail you learn more about someting if you dont fail enough you can not be able to do what you working for. Even if you weak it does not matter because if you really want someting bad enough it doesen't matter if youre weak or stupid etc. you should forgive yourself to do most of it, you must forgive yourself to achieve the goal you dream of every night. Just want bad enough and just fail enough and don't look at other people who did it easily they can be better at that but you are most likely better than them at something different so just focus on yourself and do the best you can. I hope it is benefitial for you i'm willing to hear your good news and let me know when you do it
Experience is the best teacher. Learn from ur mistakes, move on and try to do better next time! In the end, no mortal being is perfect. Everyone has their own pace.
Yes, but TH-cam really isn't a "social media" platform in the traditional sense. It's much more "active," in that you're making intentional choices in the videos you're consuming, and there's an extremely large volume of genuinely helpful info here.

Appreciate it!
No I didn't, that's why I saw this video.
Thanks for stopping by :)
TH-cam is not a social media bro. You can learn any high income skills.
@@pharezgabriel678it is social media.
The secind you can publically interact with other people it becomes social media
"Constant notifications" as if I have anyone who wants to contact me in the first place.

How long are you social media free ? It's been a few months for me and I still can't focus properly on reading a book.

If the world outside is so good, then how come we start to hate it so much, only to go back to social media? Because that’s a save haven
meh. i find a safe haven in other stuff like hobbies and whatnot. movies. games. writing songs. writing stories.
i hope everyone in the world sees this.
what? if somebody deleted his social medias he wouldnt be able to see this video
Great video Sam!

If your friends forget about you because you stop posting on socials so much, you have to wonder if they're really your friends.
