Fun fact about the Lightning’s horn. It’s an actual horn from a cruise ship that regularly docked at the Port of Tampa. When they retired the ship, the horn went to the Lightning. Kinda cool because it ties it into the Tampa community.
I know there will be some questions about the state of the game's arena audio, so let me answer some questions yo may have: Q: Why can't EA just use accurate horns? A: Because of copyright law and rights usage, EA can only use the horn audio provided by the teams and arenas They are not allowed to edit the audio either. This is the same reason why you can't use the Rangers horn in create-a-team. Q:Why can't EA add the real goal songs? A: Same thing as above, as well as having to pay for usage rights for all 32 goal songs. If there was a true, authentic goal song experience with player songs, EA would need the rights to over 130 songs! Q: How can EA improve horns? A: EA has asked teams to give them live recordings of the horns. Some teams, like Buffalo, Edmonton, and Vegas have provided those. Other teams are less willing. The horns will never ve fully accurate as long as the teams aren't willing to give accurate recordings nor have a good recording themselves. A little bonus: The Coyotes horn in the game isn't actually a recording of the Coyotes horn. Because EA doesn't have the licensing deal with Mullett Arena, so they had creative liberty with he horn. Instead of the Coyotes horn, they recorded the Penicton Vees horn (which is the same model as the Coyotes). Also to the EA employees watching this: Hi! Hope you enjoy the video. I think the reason that the flames one is missing sounds is because it is supposed to hype up "TNT" as the goal song but EA does not have the licensing to the song. I am a Flames fan and have been to many games so that is my take on the missing noises.
It's hard the last time it was recorded the circumstances are unknown But an Insider at Monumental said Noise complaints especially Cap One being attached to a Regal cinemas and shopping Gallery results in a Noise ordinance they can only blast the Q3 Horn during large capacity games Small Capacity 1 Level Only Seating PeeWee and Empty arena are situations where they cannot Blast as it's too loud Sadly this is the result when you have a hockey arena and build other buildings and a indoor shopping gallery attached to a sports arena VS most being standalone in the center of some city part a bit away from buildings
god the new goal animations are absolutely awful.. with the HUGE EA loading getting in the way of any real time cellys. honestly i feel like they want the games to fail
You know the sad thing about this is that older NHL games used the real horns and for the most part the actual goal songs for most teams. I miss when we were able to add our own music and goal horns in the game, I never understood why EA got rid of that feature.

The Kings fixed version the announcer said the wrong player, it was Trevor Lewis who scored the goal, not whoever he said.

The OHL horns are very inaccurate, like London uses the same recording as Boston's yet their horn is a generic train horn in the game
Halifax is the real Boston horn and in NHL 24 it's also very inaccurate, maybe even worse.
